Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is a crucial effort in preventing disease and improving quality of life. Elementary school children are vulnerable to various diseases due to a lack of awareness regarding personal hygiene and health practices. This community service activity aimed to increase the knowledge of 5th-grade students at MIN 1 Bengkulu City through PHBS education. The methods included pretests, lectures using PowerPoint and demonstrations, and posttests to assess knowledge improvement. Data analysis using the Chi-Square test showed a significant increase in knowledge (p=0.001), indicating a meaningful difference before and after education. These findings demonstrate that PHBS education effectively improves students’ understanding of maintaining cleanliness and personal health. This activity is expected to foster sustainable healthy behaviors in school and family environments

Abstract

Dengue hemorrhagic fever is a public health problem in tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world. Over the last fifty years the disease, caused by a virus from mosquito bites, has spread with a thirty-fold increase in global incidence. Indonesian people still do not realize the importance of maintaining a clean environment. One of the common problems found is a lack of awareness of maintaining the cleanliness of water containers in the environment where they live. This study aims to find out how dengue hemorrhagic fever (DBD) prevention behavior occurs among housewives in the working area of the Sawah Lebar Community Health Center, Bengkulu City. This research is a qualitative research. The results are presented in the form of descriptive data which is arranged using words according to the results of observations, FGDs and in-depth interviews with informants. There were twenty two informants in this study, namely, twenty main informants who were housewives and two supporting informants. The results of this study show that the informants have implemented dengue hemorrhagic fever prevention behavior with 3M Plus, there are still obstacles in using abate powder which is not available, which makes the mother's behavior lacking in preventing dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). It is recommended that the Sawah Lebar Community Health Center evaluate the implementation of 3M Plus so that mothers can carry out optimal dengue fever prevention behavior.

Abstract

According to statutory regulations, nursing personnel are healthcare professionals with dual authority: the authority to perform nursing actions and medical procedures. Medical procedures carried out by nurses are based on delegated authority, either in the form of written delegation or a mandate. The objectives of this study are: (1) To identify and analyze the procedures for delegating medical authority to nursing personnel in the Special Care Unit at Local Government General Hospital (Indonesian - RSUD) dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu, and (2) To identify and analyze the legal accountability of the delegation of medical authority to nursing personnel in the Special Care Unit at RSUD dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu. The findings of this study reveal that the implementation of medical authority delegation to nursing personnel at RSUD dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu lacked the establishment of specific types of healthcare services eligible for delegation, whether by mandate or delegation, from medical to nursing personnel. The delegation of medical authority to nursing personnel was recorded in the patient progress notes integrated by the responsible physician.
