Abstract

Dalam rangka mencapai sasaran mutu perusahaan untuk menjadikan PT Profab Indonesia sebagai perusahaan fabrikasi yang bertaraf internasional yang menghasilkan produk fabrikasi secara aman, berkualitas dan memenuhi persyaratan pelanggan namun tetap kompetitif dari segi harga maka PT Profab Indonesia berupaya mengusahakan sistem zero defect dalam produksi pengelasannya. PT Profab Indonesia juga memantau defect rate pengelasan dan mencoba menurunkan defect rate produksi pengelasannya. Untuk menurunkan defect rate hingga mencapai zero defect maka PT Profab Indonesia menggunakan metode Six Sigma dalam sistem produksi pengelasan, menerapkan sistem manajemen pengelasan dan menerapkan FMEA dalam mengurangi resiko kegagalan dalam pengelasan. Kombinasi sistem-sistem di atas secara sinergis diimplementasikan dan membuahkan hasil yang menjanjikan dalam usaha menurunkan tingkat defect rate dan dalam upaya mencapai kondisi mutu yang bebas dari kegagalan atau zero defect.

Abstract

Global competition that are becoming increasingly intensive and this caused that learning models improvement are needed in various areas which includes the welding workshop training which educate the students to improve their welding skills and technique to comply with the industry requirements. The students’ performance is important factor which link the student’s ability to survive with the current work forces by implementing their expertise and the current condition of the industry. However, the learning models such as work based learning and experiential learning become very important role to achieve the students intended performance, therefore, after scrutiny research in the training premise, it appears that there is a hypothetical formula which led that work based and experiential learning models may have significant influence on the students’ performance. Work based learning and experiential learning are learning methods or models which bring the students to the condition and environment closer to the actual environment of workplace or the industry. Based on that hypothesis, a method of analysis was performed in this research and the linear regression analysis was used, and from the results it becomes apparent that work based learning and experiential learning models have positive impact and significant on the students’ performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand and obtain information regarding the competence of the students after experiencing learning method using Teaching Factory (TEFA) Learning Model. The research is performed at the welding vocational training center, ATS Training Center, located in Batam, Indonesia. Batam Island, located in vicinity with Singapore, is now considered as an industrial city where welding industry becomes one of promising professions. The training center was having more than 50 students and the class is divided into two groups (i.e., test group and control group). From the research it was obtained that the students with experiencing Teaching Factory learning model are more competent than the ones which are not using the learning model or those which are in controlled group. This research was using quasi experiment method with one-group pretest-posttest design. The researcher was using questionnaires and from the respondents’ surveys analysis, it is inferred that the level of competence of the TEFA students are with the score and N-Gain of 78.55% and 0.09 which are higher than controlled group.

Abstract

Dalam rangka mencapai visi perusahaan yaitu untuk menjadikan PT XYZ Fabrikasi sebagai perusahaan fabrikasi yang bertaraf internasional yang menghasilkan produk fabrikasi secara aman, berkualitas dan memenuhi persyaratan pelanggan namun tetap kompetitif dari segi harga, maka perusahaan berusaha mengupayakan sistem zero defect dalam produksi inspeksinya. Perusahaan juga memantau rescan rate inspeksi PAUT dan mencoba menurunkan rescan rate produksi dalam inspeksi. Untuk menurunkan rescan rate hingga mencapai zero rescan data Phaed Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) maka perusahaan menerapkan metode Six Sigma dalam sistem produksi inspeksi. Dengan menggunakan beberapa quality tools dimana salah satunya adalah Fishbone Diagram maka perusahaan berhasil menurunkan rescan rate dari 25 % di bulan Agustus - Oktober 2022 menjadi 9,1 % di bulan November - Desember 2022. Hal ini juga sekaligus meningkatkan kinerja prosesnya yaitu dari rata-rata nilai Sigma 3,0 menjadi Sigma 3,5. Dengan menurunnya rescan rate dan meningkatnya nilai Sigma memungkinkan perusahaan untuk terus berkembang dan mencapai sasaran mutu yang diinginkan yaitu kepuasan pelanggan.

Abstract

Perbaikan kualitas produksi merupakan aspek penting dalam menjamin keberhasilan proses produksi. Pengamatan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa penyebab terjadinya kegagalan dan juga memperbaiki dalam produksi Coupling. Metode six sigma dan merupakan metode yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab cacat pada proses produksi, metode Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA) sebagai metode perbaikan proses produksi dan menggunakan pendekatan Kaizen yaitu pada konsep 5W+1H. Hasil pengamatan yang didapat adalah jenis cacat paling dominan pada proses produksi merupakan defect ovality sebesar 62%, yang paling besar disebabkan oleh chuck pada mesin CNC yaitu clamp gigitannya kematerial tidak sama rata dan tidak balance, oleh karena itu melakukan perbaikan dengan design chuck yang clamp gigitannya kematerial sama rata dan putarannya tidak goyang dan balance, sehingga defect yang disebabkan oleh ovality menurun hingga 36%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the influence between leadership style, organizational culture, and self-concept on the trainers’ performance at the Vocational Training Institutions in Batam. These factors are contributing a lot to the successive performance of the students, trainers, and institutions. However, this study only gives framework to the performance of the trainers. Improving trainers’ performance will lead to the improvement of training or educational operation. Some methods such as interviews, observations and questionnaires were used to collect the data. There were 82 trainers selected as respondents to fill the questionnaires, and the data obtained were analyzed using SPSS program. Statistical test methods such as prerequisite analytical tests, t-test, F-test, multiple linear regressions, and coefficients determination. The results give conclusion that there is significant effect and correlation between the leadership styles, organizational cultures, and self-concept on the trainers’ performance at the Vocational Training Institutions in Batam.

Abstract

This research is performed to evaluate the implementation of ISO 900A Lead Auditor Training program using CIPP model evaluation method which comprising of four aspects i.e.: (1) Context, (2) Input, (3) Process and (4) Product. The research method is using mixed method by using both quantitative and qualitative methods, where the data are collected using sampling technique by distributing questionnaires to 15 trainers and 25 trainees or training participants. The data also enriched by using qualitative method of interview and observation done on trainers and training participants. The results of the research and studies show that the training program from the context aspects of the trainers is 80.65% and from participants is 80.45%, from the input aspects of the trainers and participants are consecutively 81.5% and 75.87%, from the process aspects are 79.2% and 71.87%, and from the product aspects of trainers and participants are 80.02% and 75.7%. This can be concluded that the range of TPR are from 71.87% to 81.5% which fall into ‘good’ and ‘very good’ categories.

Abstract

One of the biggest problem which may hinder the company to improve its productivity is quality problem. Productivity can be increased if the product is in good quality or free of defect. PT Mega Technology Batam, is a company which produce Cover Coffee Maker (CCM) is also facing the same problem. The Company found that the rejected quantities reached up to 197,464 pieces. This will give reject rate percentage up to 5.99% from the total quantities produced within a month. The baseline performance was calculated to DPMO (Defects per Million Opportunity) and gave the figure of 59,929.39 or which is equal to Sigma Level 3.1. The rejected items quantities are big, reject rate percetange is high and Sigma Level is low. In order to find all the answers, the researcher used all methods of Seven Tools such as Check Sheet, Cause-Effect Diagram (Fishbone), Histogram, Pareto Diagram, Run Chart, Control Chart and Scattered Diagram. It was found that Company performed less training to its workers.and in order to resolve these issues or problems, therefore, corrective actions were implemented using 5W-1H technique, and after the actions implemented the researcher then found that the Sigma level is improved to the point of 3.7.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi dan disiplin terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT Antony Teknika Sigmaweld. Sebagaimana diketahui bahwa karyawan adalah aset bagi perusahaan sehingga peningkatan kinerja karyawan akan memberikan dampak kenaikan produktivitas perusahaan. Terdapat dua variabel yang dipercaya mempengaruhi variabel kinerja karyawan. Dua variabel bebas itu adalah motivasi dan disiplin, sedangkan variabel kinerja karyawan merupakan variabel terikatnya. Kemudian untuk memperoleh data yang diperlukan, selama penelitian penulis menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, dan kuesioner. Kuesioner yang dibuat mengacu pada keempat variabel bebas dan satu variabel terikat itu dibagikan kepada kuesioner. Sebanyak 80 orang karyawan terpilih sebagai responden yang mengisi kuesioner, dan data yang diperoleh melalui kuesioner kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan program SPSS. Pengujian yang dilakukan meliputi uji statistik yaitu seperti uji normalitas, uji t, uji F, persamaan regresi dan koefisien determinasi. Hasil yang diperoleh dari uji statistik tersebut kemudian disimpulkan, dan dibuktikan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan antara motivasi dan disiplin terhadap kinerja karyawan baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Hal ini ditunjukkan hasil uji t dan uji F yang menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara variabel-variabel bebas dan variabel terikatnya, dan dengan nilai koefisien determinasi atau nilai adjusted R square sebesar 0,816, atau 81,6%, maka hal ini berarti bahwa pengaruh motivasi dan disiplin sangat kuat atau signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan persentase sebesar 81,6%.

Abstract

Blended learning is a learning approach that combines online educational materials with traditional classroom-based methods. The traditional learning model requires the physical presence of lecturers and students, especially those trying to take further education with the employee class program, because they have to manage their time between study, work and even family. This study evaluates how the effect of using the blended learning model on the student's motivation to learn in the employee class. The study uses quantitative method with quasi experimental design. The design which utilizes one-group pretest-posttest with control group design, namely a research design that contains a pretest, before blended learning is carried out, and posttest after blended learning is carried out. The results of the study show that there is significant effectiveness of using the blended learning model compared to traditional towards the motivation of the employee class students.Keywords: blended learning, learning motivation, employee class students. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v22i2.pp226-234
