Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui penerapan model pembelajaran POGIL pada pembelajaran IPA. Bentuk dari penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Penelitian dilakukan melalui empat tahapan yakni perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik tes, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan angket. Data diuji keabsahannya menggunakan validitas isi dan triangulasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analasis interaktif Miles dan Hubberman. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa dan guru kelas V SD Negeri Pajang Surakarta tahun ajaran 2018/2019.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Rata - rata nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pratindakan sebesar 63,5. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 75,83, kemudian meningkat kembali pada siklus II menjadi 80,63. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan model POGIL dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V SD Negeri Pajang IV Surakarta tahun ajaran 2018/2019.

Abstract

The direction of this research was to upgrade the problem solving skills of angular measurement by applying the problem solving learning (PSL) model in fourth grade students of public elementary school Tambakreja 02 Cilacap 2018/2019 academic year. This research was a classroom action research consists of 3 cycles with of 2 meetings. Every cycle consist 4 phases. The subjects of this research were 27 students and teachers.Data accumulating technique used interviews, observation, tests, and documentation. The data validity technique used source triangulation and technical triangulation. Data analysis technique maked use of critical analysis, descriptive comparative techniques, and interactive analysis models. The results showed that the average score of pre-action was 41.04 with classical completeness of 3.70%, increase in first cycle to 65,85 with classical completeness of 33,33%, increased at second cycle to 77,36 with classical completeness 66.67%, increased again in third cycle to 83,41 with classical completeness of 88.89%. Results of the research, it can be summarized that through the application of the problem solving learning (PSL) model can improve the problem solving skills of angular measurements in fourth grade student of SDN Tambakreja 02 Cilacap 2018/2019 academic year.Keyword: problem solving skills, problem solving learning model, angular measurement, and elementary school

Abstract

The Training on Integrating Traditional Games into Learning for Indonesian Elementary School Teachers in Bangkok aims to help teachers recognize and incorporate Indonesian traditional games into their educational curricula. Traditional games, which carry cultural and educational values, are often overlooked in modern education. This training is designed to enable teachers to use games such as congklak, engklek, and rope skipping to enhance students' motor skills, cooperation, and understanding of mathematics and culture. The training method includes theoretical introduction, game demonstrations, and practical workshops, with effectiveness evaluated through questionnaires and group discussions. The results indicate that teachers feel more confident and capable of integrating traditional games into their teaching, while students exhibit increased engagement and motivation. Challenges such as curriculum adjustment and time constraints can be addressed with additional support. This training positively contributes to cultural preservation and provides a more varied learning experience in international schools. Recommendations include developing further training modules and providing ongoing support for greater effectiveness.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to increase the descriptive writing skill by using the Concept Sentence model of the second-grade students at Public Elementary School Karangasem II Surakarta in the academic year 2018/2019. The subjects of this study are one teacher and 29-second grade students at Public Elementary School II Surakarta. The type of this research is classroom action research. This research consists of two cycles and every cycle consists of four stages. They are; planning, action, observation, and reflection. In collecting data, the researcher uses: observation, interview, test, and documentation. The data validity test techniques used are; source triangulation, technical triangulation, and content validity. The data analysis technique used in this study is interactive analysis model including data reduction, data display and drawing a conclusion. The finding of this study shows that the application of Concept Sentence model can improve descriptive writing skills students. It can be compared to the  score result in  the pretest and each cycle. In pretest, the classical completeness score of the descriptive writing skill is 13,79%  and then up to 76,42 in the cycle 1, and the score gained in cycle II is 86,21%. It can be concluded that the use of Sentence model can improve the descriptive writing skills of the second grade students at Public elementary School Karangasem II Surakarta in the academic year 2018/2019.Keyword: descriptive writing skills, Concept Sentence model
