Abstract

This research aims to describe the mathematical communication skills in writing of junior high school students in grade VIII in solving the problems of Theorem Pythagoras. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method.   The subjects of this study numbered 31 students and were categorized in groups of very high, high, medium, low and very low female students. The results showed that students who had mathematical communication skills in a very high group were students who were very able to meet the four indicators tested with an average percentage of 83%. The mathematical communication skills of students in the high group are students who are able to meet the four indicators tested with an average total percentage of 70%. The mathematical communication skills of students in the moderate group are students who are sufficiently able to meet the four indicators tested with an average total percentage of 51%. The mathematical communication skills of students in the lower group were students who were less able to meet the four indicators tested with an average total percentage of 32%. The mathematical communication skills of students in the very low group were students who had not been able to meet the four indicators tested with an average total percentage of 17%.

Abstract

Dalam pembelajaran matematika pemecahan masalah merupakan aktivitas yang penting. Hal yang paling utama dalam memecahkan masalah adalah menemukan dan memahami apa saja yang telah diketahui. Siswa akan sangat mudah memecahkan suatu masalah matematis ketika pemahaman relasional tertanam pada diri siswa. Selain itu dalam pembelajaran matematika pemahaman instrumental juga dibutuhkan, karena pemahaman relasional dan pemahaman instrumental sangat berkaitan erat. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengkaji bagaimana pengaruh pemahaman relasional dan instrumental dalam proses pembelajaran matematika ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan literature review. Adapun langkah-langkah penelitian ini, yaitu merumuskan masalah, mengumpulkan data, mengevaluasi kelayakan data, menganalisis dan menginterprestasikan data yang relevan dan menyajikan hasil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh pemahaman relasional dan instrumental dalam pembelajaran matematika ditinjau dari pemecahan masalah matematis. Dalam pembelajaran matematika siswa yang berkemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis tinggi memiliki kemampuan pemahaman relasional dan instrumental yang baik, sedangkan siswa yang memiliki pemecahan masalah matematis pada kategori sedang dan rendah hanya memiliki kemampuan pemahaman instrumental.

Abstract

AbstrakPembelajaran matematika di sekolah menuntut siswa untuk memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah non-rutin. Masalah-masalah non-rutin dapat menggalih dan mengembangkan aspek-aspek penting dalam HOTS, namun belum ada metode penyelesaiannya. Pemecahan masalah non-rutin penting diberikan kepada siswa agar siswa mampu berpikir kritis, logis, reflektif, metakognitif, dan kreatif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangakan LKPD berorientasi HOTS untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah non-rutin siswa yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Model penelitian menggunakan tahapan pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation). Subjek penelitian berjumlah 34 siswa SMP Negeri 7 Yogyakarta. Instrumen penelitian meliputi angket validasi ahli materi dan media, angket respon siswa dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah non-rutin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas LKPD dilihat dari aspek kevalidan masuk kriteria sangat baik dengan rata-rata skor 4,4 dari ahli materi dan rata-rata skor 4,79 dari ahli media. Hasil angket respon siswa terhadap LKPD dilihat dari aspek kepraktisan masuk kriteria sangat baik dengan rata-rata skor 4,46 pada ujicoba skala kecil dan rata-rata skor 4,5 pada ujicoba skala besar. Hasil analisis tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah non-rutin dilihat dari aspek keefektifan memperoleh rata-rata skor 87,75 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Sehingga disimpulkan LKPD berorientasi HOTS yang dikembangkan dapat memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah non-rutin siswa.AbstractLearning mathematics in schools requires students to have non-routine problem-solving abilities. Non-routine problems can overturn and develop important aspects of HOTS, but there is no method of solving them yet. Important non-routine problem solving is given to students so that students are able to think critically, logically, reflectively, metacognitively, and creatively. This research is a development research that aims to develop HOTS-oriented LKPD to facilitate students' valid, practical and effective non-routine problem solving skills. The research model uses the stages of ADDIE (Analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation) development.  The subjects of the study were 34 students of SMP Negeri 7 Yogyakarta. Research instruments include material and media expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires and non-routine problem-solving ability tests. The results showed that the quality of LKPD was seen from the aspect of validity of entering the criteria very well with an average score of 4.4 from material experts and an average score of 4.79 from media experts. The results of the questionnaire of student responses to LKPD were seen from the aspect of practicality of entering the criteria very well with an average score of 4.46 in small-scale trials and an average score of 4.5 in large-scale trials. The results of the analysis of non-routine problem-solving ability tests seen from the aspect of effectiveness obtained an average score of 87.75 with excellent criteria. So it is concluded that the HOTS-oriented LKPD developed can facilitate students' non-routine problem-solving skills.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pengukuran prestasi belajar matematika digunakan untuk menentukan tingkat keberhasilan siswa dalam belajar matematika dan mendiagnosis pemahaman siswa terhadap matematika serta membantu siswa agar mendapatkan hasil yang baik. Fuzzy logic salah satu solusi untuk mengukur prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan prestasi belajar matematika siswa SMP dengan menerapkan fuzzy logic mamdani. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kajian pustaka dan pengumpulan data-data sekunder dari sekolah. Model Inferensi fuzzy yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode mamdani. Defuzifikasi pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode centroid. Analisis data menggunakan bantuan software Matlab R2015a. Variabel linguistik dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari variabel input dan variabel output. Variabel input yaitu ulangan harian, penilaian tengah semester, tugas-tugas harian dan penilaian akhir semester, sedangkan variabel output-nya adalah prestasi belajar matematika siswa SMP. Hasil penelitian diperoleh (1) Penerapan fuzzy logic mamdani dapat dilakukan untuk menentukan prestasi belajar matematika siswa SMP dengan input data ulangan harian, penilaian tengah semester, tugas-tugas individu dan penilaian akhir semester. (2) Berdasarkan nilai input data ulangan harian, penilaian tengah semester, tugas-tugas dan penilaian akhir semester memperoleh hasil sebesar 26% dengan kriteria prestasi belajar matematika siswa termasuk kedalam kriteria kurang. (3) Berdasarkan asumsi dari guru dan hasil uji menggunakan matlab R2015a dengan metode mamdani mendapatkan hasil yang sama bahwa prestasi belajar matematika siswa termasuk kedalam kategori kurang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS berbasis PBL berbantuan GeoGebra untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kesadaran metakognitif siswa yang memenuhi aspek valid, praktis dan efektif. Model penelitian menggunakan model ADDIE, yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 32 siswa MTs Negeri 8 Ciamis. Instrumen penelitian meliputi angket penilaian kepraktisan guru dan siswa, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan angket kesadaran metakognitif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) LKS berbasis PBL berbantuan GeoGebra yang dikembangkan memenuhi aspek valid dengan kriteria “Sangat Baik”, (2) LKS berbasis PBL berbantuan GeoGebra yang dikembangkan memenuhi aspek praktis dengan kriteria “Sangat Baik”, (3) LKS berbasis PBL berbantuan GeoGebra yang dikembangkan memenuhi aspek efektif dimana hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dianalisis menggunakan uji one sampel t-test. Pada tahap ini diperoleh nilai rata-rata angket siswa lebih dari 75 sehingga disimpulkan bahwa LKS berbasis PBL berbantuan GeoGebra efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kesadaran metakognitif siswa. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS berbasis PBL berbantuan GeoGebra yang dikembangkan memenuhi aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan.GeoGebra-assisted PBL to improve students' problem-solving skills and metacognitive awareness that meet the valid, practical and effective aspects. The research model uses the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were 32 students of MTs Negeri 8 Ciamis. The research instruments included teacher and student practicality assessment questionnaires, learning implementation observation sheets, problem solving ability tests and metacognitive awareness questionnaires. The results showed that (1) the developed GeoGebra-assisted PBL-based LKS met the valid aspects with the criteria of "Very Good", (2) the developed GeoGebra-assisted PBL-based LKS met the practical aspects with the criteria of "Very Good", (3) PBL-based worksheets assisted by GeoGebra developed meet the effective aspects where the results of the problem solving ability test analyzed using the one sample t-test. At this stage, the student questionnaire was more than 75, so it is concluded that the PBL-based LKS assisted by GeoGebra is effective for improving students' problem solving skills and metacognitive awareness. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the developed GeoGebra-assisted PBL-based worksheet meets the aspects of validity, practicality and effectiveness.

Abstract

This article examines the use of ethnomathematics in Kalimantan batik in learning geometry in elementary schools. The purpose of this paper is to explore mathematical concepts contained in the Kalimantan batik motifs that can be utilized in the process of learning geometry in elementary schools. This research uses exploratory research and an ethnographic approach. The research data were obtained from literature studies, observations, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the study this study obtained 6 types of Kalimantan batik motifs, namely Tidayu batik motif (West Kalimantan), spot yarn motif (Central Kalimantan), Empiek Batik motif (East Kalimantan), clouded motif batik motif (West Kalimantan), Sasirangan batik motif Hiris Pudak (South Kalimantan), Pating Muang batik motif (Central Kalimantan). Geometry concepts for elementary school children in Kalimantan batik motifs are rectangles, circles, triangles, points, lines, minimum and maximum curves, reflection, translation, and fraction numbers. The alternative steps of learning are as follows: (1). Students and teachers carry out learning with the question and answer methods related to Kalimantan batik motifs; (2). Students are asked to observe the Kalimantan batik motif; (3). Students are asked to analyze the shapes contained in the Kalimantan batik motif; (4) Students are asked to present their work.

Abstract

AbstrakKemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang harus dikembangkan dalam diri setiap siswa. Salah satu caranya yaitu memfasilitasi siswa dengan instrumen yang berkualitas maka tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kualitas instrumen tes untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMP pada materi geometri ditinjau dari validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda dan indeks kesukaran menggunakan bantuan software SPSS 29 dan Microsoft excel. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa SMP kelas VIII. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purpose sampling. Hasil tes disimpulkan bahwa: yaitu (1) kualitas instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir kritis memenuhi 100% valid, (2) Reliabilitas instrument tes kemampuan berpikir kritis sebesar 0,12 masuk kedalam kategori sangat tinggi, (3) Hasil analisis daya pembeda soal menunjukkan bahwa soal nomor 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, dan 6 memiliki kriteria baik, (4) hasil analisis indeks kesukaran menunjukkan bahwa soal nomor 1, 2, 4 dan 5 memiliki interprestasi sedang, sedangkan soal nomor 3 dan 6 memiliki interprestasi mudah. Abstract Critical thinking skills are one of the abilities that must be developed in every student. One way is to facilitate students with quality instruments, so the purpose of this study is to analyze the quality of test instruments to measure the critical thinking skills of junior high school students on geometry material in terms of validity, reliability, distinguishing power and difficulty index using the help of SPSS 29 software and Microsoft excel. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The subjects of this study were junior high school students in grade VIII. The sample was selected using purpose sampling technique. The test results concluded that: (1) the quality of the critical thinking ability test instrument meets 100% valid, (2) the reliability of the critical thinking ability test instrument of 0.12 is in the very high category, (3) the results of the analysis of the distinguishing power of the question show that question numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 have good criteria, (4) the results of the difficulty index analysis show that question numbers 1, 2, 4 and 5 have moderate interpretation, while question numbers 3 and 6 have easy interpretation.

Abstract

This study aims to identify research trends on digital-based learning media in the Gen Z era and visualize them. The method used is the descriptive bibliometric analysis method. The research data comes from the database dimensions obtained as many as 548 publication articles that have gone through several stages of data collection, namely identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. The results of the study concluded that the highest number of publications in 2024 was 227 publication articles. Indonesia is a pair of country bibliographies that have the largest number of documents and have a major influence on the focus of this research compared to other countries. The top-ranked bibliographic pair of institutions/universities is Yogyakarta State University with a total link strength of 61. The pair of journal bibliographies that have the largest number of documents is the science education research journal. The focus of research with the keyword digital-based learning media in the Gen Z era obtained seven clusters. New themes in this field of research are literacy, Islamic education, younger generation, disruption, the industrial revolution era, the society era, and entrepreneurship. These topics can be selected for further research because this topic still rarely appears in research topics.

Abstract

The use of GeoGebra as an interactive learning medium in geometry has become a major focus in various mathematics education studies. GeoGebra allows dynamic visualization of geometric objects and supports student engagement in understanding concepts more deeply. As the number of publications discussing the use of GeoGebra in geometry learning at the secondary school level increases, a comprehensive review is needed to identify trends, focus directions, and open research gaps. Therefore, this study aims to identify and map trends and research focuses on the use of GeoGebra in geometry learning in secondary schools through a descriptive bibliometric approach. Data in this study were obtained from the Google Scholar database with a total of 480 published articles that have been selected through the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. The results of the analysis show that the publication trend increased significantly in the period 2020–2025, with the highest citation peak occurring in 2022, namely 840 citations. The most dominant journals covering this topic are the Rafflesia Journal of Mathematics Education and the Cendekia Journal. The main focus of the research is divided into six large groups: GeoGebra; geometry; junior high school students; mathematics learning in secondary schools; application of the discovery model; and studies of algebra and problem solving. These findings not only provide a comprehensive overview of the development of GeoGebra research but also reveal potential new themes that can be developed in further studies.

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematika merupakan kemampuan yang harus dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian ini, menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu Siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 7 Yogyakarta. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purpose sampling. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan, bahwa: (1) Kualitas instrumen tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis memenuhi 100% valid, (2) Reliabilitas instrumen tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis sebesar 0,870 dengan kategori tinggi, (3) Hasil analisis daya pembeda soal menunjukkan bahwa soal nomor 1, 2 dan 5 memiliki kriteria cukup, sedangkan soal nomor 3 dan 4 memiliki kriteria baik, (4) Hasil analisis indeks kesukaran menunjukan bahwa soal nomor 1, 3 dan 4 memiliki interprestasi sedang, sedangkan soal nomor 2 dan 5 memiliki interprestasi mudah.
