Abstract

Maternity deaths in pregnant women are associated with anemia. Efforts to overcome anemia in pregnant women have not achieved the optimum results. One of them is caused by the low level of pregnant women knowledge and  adherence  in consuming iron supplements and in this case family support is needed. The government has distributed iron suplementation but the knowledge of pregnant women and husbands regarding prevention of anemia is still lacking. To increase knowledge, it is necessary to have a accompaniment module for prevention of anemia. The aim of the study was to determine the differences in knowledge of pregnant women’s husband about prevention of anemia in pregnant women before and after the module was given. It used Quasi experiment research method pre-posttest with control group design. The treatment groupgiven health education using the module while the control group only provided health education without the module. The sample in this research were the husband of pregnant women in Independent Midwifery Practice, 47 respondents in treatment group and 47 respondents in control group . Data analysis used Wilcoxon.  There was difference knowledge of pregnant women’s husband before and after the given module with p value 0.000.Giving module increase knowledge of pregnant women’s  husband in anemia prevention. It was expected  that health workers use module to increase pregnant women’s husband knowledge about anemia prevention.

Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, monthly Integrated Services Pos health service activities have been stopped. This leads to the early detection of impaired growth and development of toddlers is not optimal, the absence of additional food for toddlers, immunization and other health services. So, it brings a negative impact on the health of toddlers as the nation’s next generation. The objective of this research was to determine the factors that cause compliance to visits the Integrated Services Pos for toddlers in the Work Area of the Tanjungpinang Health Center. The research design was cross sectional. The research instrument used online questionnaire using a google form. The research was conducted in November 2020 on 93 mothers of toddlers who were taken using a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed by logistic regression test. The results showed that there was an influence of knowledge and attitudes of mothers and the role of cadres on compliance to visits the Integrated Services Pos for toddlers with p-value <0.05 for all variables. It is expected that cadres and midwives can provide information for mothers of toddlers about the importance of Integrated Services Pos for toddlers, especially in the new normal era

Abstract

Mortality and morbidity due to bleeding occur due to delayed care. On the island, more advanced technology models based on the 4.0 digital development facilities and infrastructures are important to improve the health service quality. This literature review identifies modern technology-based bleeding detection as an effort to detect and diagnose early postpartum hemorrhage on the island. This systematic review study selected the data with the PRISMA protocol method. The researchers took 12 journal article outlets with years of publications from 2011 until 2020. The researchers found 587 articles. However, the most relevant articles with the applied keywords were 12 articles. Various modern technology-based detections for bleeding applied pantograph, gravimetric, bag collector, under-buttock, SAPHE mat, and scoring measurement to efficiently promote early bleeding. These investigated models were more effective than visual estimation with effectiveness percentages of 25-89%. Technology-based detections could early detect and facilitate postpartum hemorrhage and provide immediate care. High technological advancement in the health field facilitates the patients' care, especially in islands that need immediate action. The results of this research are useful to promote further research about modern-technology-based models to detect and diagnose postpartum hemorrhage in islands.

Abstract

One of the public health problems that occur in infants and toddlers on Indonesia is stunting. The prevalence of stunting in the Riau Island Province SSGI data for 2021 shows an increase in the prevalence of stunting from 7.21% to 17.6%. One of the efforts to prevent stunting is to overcome anemia. The prevalence rate of anemia is still high due to the low level of adherence of pregnant women in taking iron supplements. This study aimed for accurate, precise, and up-to-date information to prevent anemia and stunting. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Si NaNing Module on the independence of pregnant women in preventing anemia and a quasi-experimental conducted in Tanjungpinaa ng City from May to October 2022. The research design was a quasi-experimental design with a pre-posttest with control group design. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The population in this study were all pregnant women in Tanjungpinang City. The sample in this study were 100 experimental respondents and 100 control respondents. Data analysis used the T test. The results showed that there was an effect of the module on responsibility (p-value 0.001), autonomy (p-value 0.001), initiative (p-value 0.001), and self-control (p- value 0.001) on anemia prevention and stunting. Thus, the Si NaNing Module can be used as an effort to increase mother's independence in preventing anemia and stunting.
