Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasing rate of divorce among families of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI), which is influenced by geographical separation, economic pressures, and weak family resilience. The purpose of this study is to explore the role of spirituality in fostering and sustaining marital resilience among PMI families. This study employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data collection was conducted through field observations and direct interactions with participants at Sanggar Bimbingan (SB) At-Tanzil Lembah Jaya, Malaysia. The preliminary results indicate that spiritual values (worship practices, etiquette, and moral principles) constitute an essential component of character development. Regular religious practices contribute to emotional stability, showing that faith-based educational environments have significant potential to strengthen family resilience.
