Abstract

This study examines the integration of local wisdom values of the Kamoro Tribe (Mimika Wee) into Natural and Social Science (IPAS) learning for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Mimika, Central Papua, specifically on biotic and abiotic components. Sago (Metroxylon sagu) is a central element in the lives of the Kamoro people, representing a complex interaction between living organisms (biotic) and their environment (abiotic). This research employs descriptive qualitative methods with an ethnopedagogical approach involving literature review, participatory observation in sago groves, and in-depth interviews with the fourth-grade teacher and Kamoro traditional elders. The findings reveal that: (1) utilizing the sago forest as a contextual learning resource successfully transforms abstract biotic-abiotic concepts into concrete and meaningful learning experiences; (2) the integration of Kamoro ethnoscience effectively enhances student engagement and conceptual understanding; and (3) this approach aligns with the Merdeka Curriculum's demands in fostering the Pancasila Student Profile, particularly the dimensions of faith, piety to God Almighty, and noble character (sub-element of environmental stewardship), global diversity, and mutual cooperation. The implications of this study support the development of locally-contextualized IPAS teaching modules based on local ethnoscience, relevant for students in Papua's coastal regions.

Abstract

ABSTRACTAdvancements in digital technology require student organizations to manage information and administration effectively, transparently, and participatorily. However, the utilization of digital technology by the Intra-School Student Organization (OSIS) board remains suboptimal, particularly regarding the management of organizational information integrated with national character values. Pancasila serves as the Indonesian nation's philosophy of life and the source of values for state governance. This community service initiative aimed to enhance the digital competence of OSIS board members and integrate Pancasila values into student organization management through digital media. The study employed a qualitative approach and technical triangulation, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation. Participants received training on using Google Sites, managing digital content, and applying Pancasila values to organizational governance. Subsequently, participants were guided in developing an OSIS website featuring various organizational functions and services. The results demonstrated that participants successfully developed an OSIS website containing comprehensive organizational information—including digital posters for the student council president election, a board member directory with photographs, an OSIS YouTube channel, and an integrated school map via Google Maps. Furthermore, Pancasila values—such as deliberation for consensus, unity, responsibility, democracy, and respect for diversity—were implemented throughout the website's development and management. In conclusion, the training on utilizing Google Sites, grounded in Pancasila values, proved effective in enhancing the digital competence of OSIS board members while simultaneously strengthening organizational governance at SMA YPPK Teruna Bakti Waena, Jayapura City.
