Abstract

Evaluation in Arabic language learning is essential to measure students' achievement; however, the quality of tests used in Indonesia still requires improvement. This study employed the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to analyze the validity, reliability, difficulty level, and discrimination power of Arabic test items, based on a synthesis of six articles indexed in SINTA and Scopus, published between 2019 and 2024. This SLR approach offers a new contribution by systematically revealing national trends and gaps in item quality, which have not been comprehensively analyzed in previous studies. The findings show that on average, 66% of the items were valid, and most tests demonstrated very high reliability (≥ 0.85), although some tests had low reliability (0.54). The distribution of difficulty levels was imbalanced, with 50.83% of items being too easy and only 7.67% classified as difficult, deviating from the ideal distribution. Additionally, 34% of the items exhibited low discrimination power, reducing the effectiveness of assessments in distinguishing students' abilities. These imbalances can lead to biased evaluations and hinder students' competency development. The practical implications of this study include the importance of teacher training in item analysis, the application of Bloom's Taxonomy to balance item difficulty levels, and the development of a standardized, data-driven item bank. The main contribution of this research is to provide empirical foundations for improving Arabic language assessment policies in Indonesia and to propose a more accurate and fair evidence-based evaluation approach.

Abstract

Wilayah kepulauan seperti Kabupaten Selayar menghadapi tantangan unik dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan, khususnya dalam hal evaluasi pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam menyusun soal evaluasi berbasis teori rekonstruksi dengan dukungan teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI). Melalui pelatihan intensif, pendampingan, dan penguatan infrastruktur, kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan efisiensi kerja guru hingga 65%, memperbaiki kualitas soal dengan peningkatan signifikan pada butir berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS), serta membangun ekosistem pembelajaran digital berkelanjutan. Artikel ini menguraikan proses, tantangan, capaian, serta dampak program sebagai model transformasi pendidikan berbasis teknologi di daerah tertinggal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in improving students' Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in the subject of Plant Agribusiness at SMKN 4 Bulukumba. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of two cycles. Data analysis techniques are carried out by processing the results of observations, cycle tests, and interviews. The results of the study showed that the application of the PBL model significantly improved students' high-level thinking skills, with the percentage of classical completeness increasing from 20.69% in cycle I to 89.65% in cycle II. Thus, the PBL model is recommended as an effective learning strategy to improve students' HOTS.

Abstract

The body text of abstract is written with Century (8 pt) and justify format, with left indent 10 mm and right indent 10 mm This research aims to analyze the perceptions of school principals regarding the assistance of school supervisors in realizing Child Friendly Schools (SRA) in Selayar Islands Regency. Assistance from school supervisors is considered important to ensure the implementation of policies and practices that support the creation of a safe, comfortable and inclusive learning environment for children. This research used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, involving 24 school principals as respondents. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, questionnaires and observations, then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The research results show that overall, principals' perceptions of school supervisor assistance are at a very positive level (average score 4.27). The dimensions of support and attention (4.47) and communication and collaboration (4.38) were the most appreciated aspects. However, the dimensions of the impact of mentoring (4.14) and increasing understanding and competence (4.15) show quite significant variations in perception, indicating the need for more structured and specific mentoring. Based on these findings, this research recommends increasing the intensity of mentoring, facilitating discussion forums between school principals, and providing more measurable and solution-based feedback. It is hoped that the research results can become a reference for education stakeholders in optimizing the implementation of Child Friendly Schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) gambaran penggunaan media pembelajaran, 2) gambaran keterampilan membaca siswa, 3) peranan media pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain Pre-Test Post-Test Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa UPT SDN Benteng Jampea No. 56 Kepulauan Selayar. Penelitian ini menggunakan populasi sebagai sampel penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan tes. Observasi dilakukan untuk melihat bagaimana proses pembelajaran berlangsung dengan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran. Tes diberikan sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran membaca. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Guru telah menggunakan media pembelajaran dengan sangat baik. Demikian pula aktivitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran sangat baik, 2) Keterampilan membaca siswa mengalami peningkatan dari kategori rendah menjadi kategori sangat tinggi, 3) ada peranan media pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pada siswa SD kelas satu.
