Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi progressive learning melalui metode card sort pada pembelajaran IPAS di MI Mardlotillah Sukorejo, mendeskripsikan dampak penerapan metode card sort terhadap keaktifan dan pemahaman siswa, serta mengetahui kendala dan solusi dalam penerapan metode tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan (field research). Subjek penelitian terdiri atas guru dan siswa kelas IV MI Mardlotillah Sukorejo. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data dilakukan melalui triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi progressive learning melalui metode card sort pada pembelajaran IPAS dilaksanakan melalui pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa dengan aktivitas diskusi kelompok, pengelompokan kartu, dan presentasi hasil pembelajaran. Penerapan metode card sort mampu meningkatkan keaktifan, kerja sama, keberanian bertanya, serta pemahaman konsep IPAS siswa melalui aktivitas belajar yang konkret dan kolaboratif. Selain itu, pembelajaran menjadi lebih interaktif dan menyenangkan dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional. Adapun kendala yang ditemukan meliputi kondisi kelas yang ramai, kebingungan siswa pada tahap awal pembelajaran, keterbatasan waktu, serta persiapan media pembelajaran. Kendala tersebut diatasi guru melalui pengelolaan kelas yang baik, pemberian arahan secara bertahap, serta persiapan media pembelajaran yang matang. Dengan demikian, metode card sort dinilai efektif dalam mendukung implementasi progressive learning pada pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The development of MI/SD students in the digital era requires the adjustment of learning strategies that align with students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor characteristics. However, the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum still faces challenges in accommodating the diversity of these characteristics, particularly in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. This study is based on the argument that the alignment between learning strategies and students’ developmental stages influences the effectiveness of PAI learning. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were obtained from various relevant literature sources and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, which includes data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that MI/SD students are in the concrete operational stage, characterized by being active, social, and requiring direct learning experiences. Consequently, PAI learning should be designed to be concrete, interactive, collaborative, and value- and experience-based. Furthermore, the flexibility of the Merdeka Curriculum enables the implementation of differentiated learning that is adaptive to students’ needs. Therefore, integrating an understanding of student development with appropriate learning strategies is key to improving the quality of PAI learning. ABSTRAK Perkembangan peserta didik MI/SD di era digital menuntut penyesuaian strategi pembelajaran yang selaras dengan karakteristik kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik siswa. Namun, implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka masih menghadapi kendala dalam mengakomodasi keberagaman karakteristik tersebut, khususnya dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Penelitian ini didasarkan pada argumentasi bahwa kesesuaian antara strategi pembelajaran dan tahap perkembangan peserta didik berpengaruh terhadap efektivitas pembelajaran PAI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kepustakaan (library research). Data diperoleh dari berbagai literatur relevan dan dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana melalui tahapan kondensasi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik MI/SD berada pada tahap operasional konkret dengan karakteristik aktif, sosial, dan membutuhkan pengalaman belajar langsung. Implikasinya, pembelajaran PAI perlu dirancang secara konkret, interaktif, kolaboratif, serta berbasis nilai dan pengalaman. Selain itu, fleksibilitas dalam Kurikulum Merdeka memungkinkan penerapan pembelajaran diferensiatif yang adaptif terhadap kebutuhan peserta didik. Dengan demikian, integrasi pemahaman perkembangan peserta didik dengan strategi pembelajaran yang tepat menjadi kunci dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran PAI.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the integration of Islamic values into Natural Science (IPAS) learning, specifically on the topic of the Earth's structure, and to analyze the role of Pop-Up media in realizing this integration at the Elementary School (SD/MI) level. The primary purpose of this integration is to holistically educate students, fostering not only intellectual competence but also spiritual strength, characterized by gratitude, a sense of responsibility as guardians of the Earth (khalifah), and deep contemplation (tadabbur) of Allah's creation. Employing a qualitative approach with a library research method, this study analyzes data from relevant scientific literature using content analysis techniques. The findings reveal that the integration of Islamic values can be achieved by correlating scientific concepts of the Earth's structure with relevant Qur'anic verses. Pop-Up media serves as an effective bridge to concretize abstract concepts through interactive three-dimensional visualizations, simultaneously enhancing students' conceptual understanding of science and strengthening their spiritual values. This study recommends that educators develop Islamic-themed Pop-Up media for other science topics to create holistic, contextual, and character-rich learning experiences.

Abstract

The transformation of education in the digital era requires IPAS learning in elementary schools to move beyond conventional approaches and to foster students’ scientific literacy, critical thinking, and learning independence as essential 21st-century competencies. However, various reports and research findings indicate that the scientific literacy of Indonesian elementary school students remains relatively low, while classroom learning practices are still dominated by lecturing and rote memorization with limited and suboptimal use of technology. This condition highlights the need for more meaningful, contextual, and student-centered learning approaches. This study focuses on examining the application of the Deep Learning approach in IPAS learning as a strategy to enhance scientific literacy and learning independence among elementary school students. The study employed a library research method with a qualitative approach, involving the identification, selection, and analysis of various literature sources, including books, national and international journal articles, and relevant research reports published over the past ten years. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques to identify patterns, concepts, and key findings related to Deep Learning, scientific literacy, and learning independence. The results indicate that the Deep Learning approach, implemented through problem-based learning, inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, and blended learning strategies supported by interactive digital media, has the potential to increase student engagement, understanding of scientific concepts, the ability to analyze scientific phenomena, and learning independence. The findings conclude that the Deep Learning approach is relevant and has strong potential for implementation in elementary school IPAS learning, provided that it is supported by teacher readiness, adequate facilities and infrastructure, and systematic instructional planning to ensure optimal impact on improving students’ scientific literacy and learning independence. ABSTRAK Transformasi pendidikan di era digital menuntut pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar tidak lagi bersifat konvensional, tetapi mampu mengembangkan literasi sains, berpikir kritis, dan kemandirian belajar siswa sebagai kompetensi abad ke-21. Namun, berbagai laporan dan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar di Indonesia masih relatif rendah, sementara praktik pembelajaran di kelas masih didominasi metode ceramah dan hafalan dengan pemanfaatan teknologi yang belum optimal. Kondisi ini menunjukkan perlunya pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna, kontekstual, dan berpusat pada siswa. Penelitian ini berfokus pada kajian penerapan pendekatan Deep Learning dalam pembelajaran IPAS sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan literasi sains dan kemandirian belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research dengan pendekatan kualitatif, melalui penelusuran, seleksi, dan analisis berbagai sumber pustaka berupa buku, artikel jurnal nasional dan internasional, serta laporan penelitian yang relevan dan dipublikasikan dalam sepuluh tahun terakhir. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik analisis isi untuk mengidentifikasi pola, konsep, dan temuan utama terkait Deep Learning, literasi sains, dan kemandirian belajar. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Deep Learning, melalui strategi problem-based learning, inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, dan blended learning yang didukung media digital interaktif, berpotensi meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, pemahaman konsep sains, kemampuan analisis fenomena ilmiah, serta kemandirian belajar. Simpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan Deep Learning relevan dan potensial diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar, dengan catatan diperlukan kesiapan guru, dukungan sarana prasarana, serta perencanaan pembelajaran yang sistematis agar implementasinya memberikan dampak optimal terhadap peningkatan literasi sains dan kemandirian belajar siswa.

Abstract

Learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in elementary schools requires instructional media that can contextually explain the interrelationships between scientific concepts, social phenomena, and the values of Islamic Primary Education. However, classroom practices are still predominantly dominated by conventional and static media, which inadequately support student engagement and understanding. This study aims to develop the PP-SDA Platform based on Canva Animation as an interactive and visual IPAS learning medium integrated with Islamic values in the topic of Natural Resource Management. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model, which includes the stages of defining, designing, and developing. The defining stage involved curriculum analysis, review of learning outcomes, initial observations, and communication with teachers to identify media needs and learner characteristics. The designing stage produced content concepts, presentation flow, and storyboard-based visual designs, which were developed into a PowerPoint-based prototype using Canva Animation. The development stage included prototype production and limited trials conducted with fourth-grade students of MI Salafiyah Sidorejo using student and teacher response questionnaires as research instruments. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative data were analyzed thematically. The results indicate that the PP-SDA Platform demonstrates high levels of attractiveness, clarity of content, integration of Islamic values, and usefulness, with average scores of 89.60% from students and 91.60% from teachers. The media also enhances students' attention, understanding, and ability to relate scientific concepts to Islamic moral values. Therefore, the PP-SDA Platform is feasible to be used as an innovative learning medium in IPAS instruction.
