Abstract

Program Mahasiswa Berdampak di Desa Kota Lintang, Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang, dilaksanakan sebagai upaya pemulihan pascabencana banjir bandang November 2025 yang menyebabkan kerusakan permukiman, fasilitas umum, akses air bersih, dan lahan pertanian. Program ini bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan, penyediaan air bersih, dan ketahanan pangan masyarakat melalui penerapan teknologi tepat guna. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui rehabilitasi lingkungan, pemasangan pompa air berbasis tenaga surya, penggunaan mesin penyemprot air, serta penerapan hidroponik sistem apung bersama Karang Taruna dan Kelompok Tani Simpur Jaya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan rehabilitasi berhasil dilakukan pada 7 rumah, 1 sekolah, dan 3 musholla dengan peningkatan kebersihan 70–85%. Pompa air tenaga surya meningkatkan akses air bersih masyarakat hingga 65–75%, sedangkan hidroponik sistem apung menghasilkan 15–25 kg sayuran per siklus dengan peningkatan produksi 40–60%. Selain itu, kompetensi masyarakat dalam penggunaan teknologi meningkat hingga 80–90%. Program ini mendukung pemulihan sosial-ekologis pascabencana sekaligus berkontribusi pada pencapaian SDGs poin 2, 6, dan 11.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to accelerate clean-water and basic sanitation recovery for flood-affected residents in Bendahara District, Aceh Tamiang Regency. The activities included socialization, sanitation education, water-tank placement, clean-water distribution, hygiene kit and bottled-water delivery, Garbarata team formation, and monitoring. The program reached five villages by delivering ten 1,050-liter water tanks, 2,000 liters of clean water per village per day for 20 days, 540 hygiene kits, and 540 five-liter bottled-water gallons. The intervention strengthened temporary safe-water access, village coordination, and post-flood hygiene education.

Abstract

The golden snail is a major pest in rice cultivation. This pest attacks the vegetative phase of the plant, so that reducing rice production. Various efforts to control gold snail pests have been carried out such as the use of chemical-based molluscicides. However, this can lead to pest resistance and environmental pollution. Therefore, an alternative effort was made by using extracts Areca seed as a molluscicide. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of ethanol extract of young and old betel nut as a molluscicide and to determine the concentration of ethanol extract of young and old betel nut which was effective as a molluscicide against golden snail pests. The research was carried out at the Universitas Samudra Laboratory in January-March 2021. Experimental design used RAL with 8 treatments and 5 replications. The application of ethanol extract of old betel nut and areca nut had a significant effect on mortality of golden snail pest but was not significantly different between treatments. The application of a single extract of young and old areca nut seeds at a concentration of 30% was very effective in increasing the mortality of golden snails by 100%, both for golden snails aged 14 days, 26 days, 60 days and adult (wild) snails.
