Abstract

Health and productivity are equally important and interconnected. Health is a primary asset. Without good health, achieving productivity becomes challenging. During the peak of the pandemic, funds were redirected from women's and girls' health to other life-saving services. There was also a lack of awareness and general prioritization. This led to a significant funding gap in women's healthcare. Furthermore, the lack of funding for women's health research means that specific challenges or diseases affecting women and girls remain unaddressed. They contribute economically and enrich their nation's wealth. Additionally, they play a crucial role in fostering intergenerational progress, thereby creating more opportunities for their children. An economy that neglects women and girls will widen the gender parity gap. Prioritizing the health of women and girls is a crucial path to building a healthier economy, society, and community. Identifying the issue, aiming to understand why women lack understanding regarding reproductive health issues linked to the post-pandemic economic perspective, is an effort to prioritize health, especially reproductive health. The implementation of Community Service Program (PKM) is carried out through an online webinar via Zoom Meeting link and YouTube on Saturday, February 25, 2023. This activity is in the form of a planned training in partnership with the Cipayung sub-district as part of the university's development efforts, involving an Obstetrician-Gynecologist doctor. The target audience includes lecturers, students, and the general public from all over Indonesia, with a total of 238 participants, including professors, students, nurses, midwives, and the public. Participants comprehend the provided material, engage in discussions, and pose questions about women's reproductive health from an economic perspective. Keywords: Community Service Program (PKM), Reproductive Health, Economy, Women.

Abstract

Background. Covid-19 is a virus that can affect all age groups, including the elderly. The World Health Organization or WHO concluded that this virus is very risky in those aged over 65 years due to a weakened immune system. In addition, the elderly have a higher risk of experiencing a more severe impact than other groups due to degenerative diseases commonly experienced by the elderly. Implementing clean and healthy living behavior as a prevention effort is the main thing to break the chain of transmission of Covid-19. This study aims to determine the prevention behavior of Covid-19 in the elderly and the factors associated with it. Methods. The research design was cross sectional. The sample consisted of men and women aged 60 years or more as many as 135 people. The instrument used is a questionnaire distributed through social media. The data obtained were analyzed by univariate and bivariate using chi square test. results. There is a relationship between age and education with Covid-19 prevention behavior in the elderly with p values of 0.038 and 0.001 respectively. Abstract

In the modern era, hospitals are required to enhance worker safety and patient safety culture to provide optimal healthcare services. One approach used is Lean Management, which aims to reduce waste and improve efficiency in healthcare service processes. However, the implementation of Lean Management in hospitals still faces various challenges, particularly regarding its impact on worker safety and patient safety culture. This study aims to analyze the effect of Lean Management on worker safety and patient safety culture at Bhayangkara Brimob Kelapadua Depok Hospital. This research employs a quantitative method with an analytical survey design and a cross-sectional approach. Data were collected from healthcare workers in the inpatient unit using a validated and reliable questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using linear regression to examine the relationships between variables. The results indicate that Lean Management has a positive and significant effect on worker safety (p = 0.000) and patient safety culture (p = 0.000). Additionally, worker safety acts as a mediator in the relationship between Lean Management and patient safety culture. These findings confirm that effective implementation of Lean Management can improve worker safety, which ultimately contributes to enhancing the patient safety culture. This study provides insights for hospital management on optimizing Lean Management implementation to create a safer work environment and improve healthcare service quality. It is recommended that hospitals strengthen training and safety policies to support more effective Lean Management implementation.

Abstract

Teenagers are one of the largest components in Indonesia. Therefore, teenagers must be able to achieve excellence in all fields to become a high-quality generation that will carry the nation forward. In order to become a high-quality generation, teenagers must be able to avoid and address complex teenage issues that arise during their transitional phase. These issues are related to reproductive health, including problems such as unwanted pregnancies (KTD) and abortions, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and substance abuse. Teenagers between the ages of 15-18 are at the highest risk of alcohol use, drug use, and sexual activity. The goal of improving healthy reproductive behavior in female students in the 10th and 11th grades at SMKN 24 Jakarta involves four methods: activity planning, activity implementation, group education for teenagers, and activity monitoring, with knowledge levels measured through pre-tests and post-tests. The results show that educational activities and knowledge improvement have been successfully carried out with the participation of 100 female students in the 10th and 12th grades on August 22, 2023, at SMKN 24. The students received information on the growth and development of reproductive organs in teenagers, the importance of maintaining healthy reproductive organs to prevent sexually transmitted diseases and early pregnancies, and the readiness of female teenagers from physical, mental, and social aspects. Group education was provided for both teenagers and teachers. The analysis results indicate a 79% increase in knowledge, as tested using statistical analysis with a significance level of 0.000. This indicates that health education has a significant impact on improving the knowledge of female students. The PKM team also handed over equipment, such as a phantom model and reproductive health information sheets, to SMKN 24, which will be used in reproductive health education activities and promoting healthy behavior changes.
