Abstract

This study examines the influence of mindfulness in communication on tolerance and harmony among Buddhists at Wihara Dipa Prabhava. Using a survey method with a sample of 112 respondents, the research found that the application of mindfulness-based communication significantly enhances tolerance and harmony among individuals. These findings emphasize the importance of mindfulness in fostering harmonious communication and reducing conflicts within the Buddhist community. The results indicate a significant positive effect of mindfulness in communication on tolerance and harmony among Buddhists, with a t-value of 10.729, a significance value (p) of 0.000 < 0.05, And an R Square value of 0.511 obtained from the simple regression analysis. This means that mindfulness in communication influences tolerance and harmony by 51.1%, while other factors affect the remaining 48.9%.

Abstract

This study aimed to find Thina-middha on students' emotional intelligence. The problems that occur in students are those who are lazy in doing assignments, procrastinating on assignments at school and home, and students who prefer other activities such as playing games, playing social media, and playing with friends rather than doing assignments. Difficulty dividing time in doing school assignments given by teachers. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population in this study was 69. This study was conducted in Junior High Schools with student respondents in the 2023/2024 academic year. The study results showed a significant positive effect between the Thina-middha variable and the emotional intelligence variable of junior high school students in 2024, with a t count of 17.274 and a significance value (0.000 <0.05). The magnitude of the influence of Thina-middha on the emotional intelligence of Buddhist students at Jambi Middle Schools in 2024 can be seen from the R Square, which has a value of 0.817, thus meaning that 81.7% of Thina-middha has a significant influence on student's emotional intelligence, while the remaining 18.3% is influenced by other variables that were not studied.

Abstract

The family environment is the first place of education for children because this is where children first receive education and guidance. The research purpose is to explore the influence of the family environment on the motivation of the Buddhist youth in Buddhist Temples throughout Pringsewu Regency in Lmapung Province. The problems faced include low educational motivation allegedly influenced by lack of family support, economic factors, and ineffective communication. The study developed the quantitative method and survey data collection tecnique with a questionnaire and supported by SPSS program This study involved a population of 87 number of people. This study's results show a significant influence of the family environment on educational motivation. These findings show that family support is essential in increasing the motivation of young people in monasteries.
