Abstract

Science and Technology Index (Sinta) implied that STIAB Jinarakkhita Lampung is ranked 1,857 on producing researches from a total of 5,150 affiliates with a total publication of 40 documents, which are not optimal and can be categorized as not productive and undeveloped. This condition can be caused by several factors, such as lack of research’s insight and scarce of continuous improvement of research capabilities and access to international journals. This PKM in the form of continuous training on research methods aims to improve the research performance of STIAB Jinarakkhita Lampung and implement it into direct field practice. This training is carried out in the form of classes and workshops on a continuous basis which are divided into five sessions, whereas in each session, the process for research will be discussed in a coherent and continuous manner starting from determining the problems to the methods for examining the problems. At the end of each session, participants will progressively develop research proposals, starting from observing problems in the campus environment, compiling problem statements, developing theoretical frameworks and hypotheses, and determining the research methods. Based on the produced proposals and questions from the participants, it can be concluded that the participants are starting to be motivated to conduct research, so it is expected that they begin to do research to improve the research performance of STIAB Jinarakkhita Lampung. The expected output from this activity is a nationally accredited journal. Abstract

Using applications on social media can make it easier for students to establish communication in cyberspace, such as Instagram social media. However, if you look at the current sit researchers have done, social media has not been done well. Based on the conservation researchers have done, problems arise such as 2.2% difficulty in recognizing self-emotions, 6.7% difficulty in overcoming self-emotions, 15.6% difficulty in motivating themselves, 22.2% difficulty in empathy, and 13.3% difficulty building relationships. The purpose of this study was to find 1) whether there is an influence of Instagram social media use with conscious consumption on emotional intelligence and 2) how much influence Instagram social media use with conscious consumption has on emotional intelligence. This research uses a quantitative approach with survey methods. The population of this study amounted to 55 respondents, with a whole population study. The study was conducted at Xaverius 1 Junior High School Bandar Lampung with respondents of Buddhist students. The study results illustrate a significant influence between the variable use of Instagram social media and conscious consumption of emotional intelligence. The criterion for hypothesis testing is to reject H0 if t count > t table and vice versa. For the distribution t used dk = (n-2) and α = 0.05. Based on data analysis, t count = 3.049 while t table with n = 55 and α = 0.05 obtained 1.673. Then, it can be known that t count > t table (3.049 ≥ 1.673) or sig (0.004 < 0.05). So, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so there is an influence between the use of Instagram social media and the conscious consumption of emotional intelligence of Buddhist students in high schools.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest marine debris disposal countries in Asia. Due to its open dumping garbage disposal scheme and the growing population of productive age and educated demographic, there is a heightened urgency to develop an education model as a practical solution. This study aims to develop an education model that combines education and mindfulness to achieve environmental competency using a pretest-posttest control group design. The target population is 96 students in classes 11 and 12, and they are divided randomly into 2 groups called the experiment group which got the intervention and the control group which did not get any intervention. The intervention given to the experimental group was built on social learning theory and adapted to the environment and socio-culture of Jakarta, Indonesia. Pretest and posttest questionnaire were used and analyzed using t-test, paired samples t-test, and one-way ANOVA. The results shows that environmental education and mindfulness influence positively pro-environmental behaviour, and there are significant differences in posttest result of the experimental group. Our experiment demonstrates education and mindfulness can simultaneously cultivate and sustain environmental competency.

Researchers offer a solution to overcome problems with the motivation to study. The motivation to learn this is defined as a learning process using shared potential students, whether physical, mental, or emotional, to achieve educational objectives with insight into cognitive functioning, effective, and psychomotor optimally. The methodology used is descriptive quantitative research. The subject of the study was a student of the Buddhist Religious Education study program with 107 students. The sample in the study was 84 people. Data collection techniques in this study include using interviews and quisionary. The study used multiple linear regression analysis with a 5% error rate. The value of r square or R²=0.471=47.1% indicates that variables of student learning motivation can be explained by the performance variables of lecturers and organizational culture together at 47.1%. In other words, the performance variable of lecturers and organizational culture affects student learning motivation by 47.1%, and the remaining 52.9% are influenced by other factors not included in this research model. While R = 0.686, meaning lecturer performance variable, organizational culture has a solid relationship to learning motivation. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that 1) there is a simultaneous influence between the performance of lecturers and organizational culture on learning motivation. 2) This shows that the more positive the lecturer's performance and the higher the organizational culture, the more motivation for students to learn in higher education institutions.
