Abstract

Abstract

At present, public opinion regarding the selection of insurance products is very low because people still do not understand enough to insure themselves against a product that will guarantee their necessities of life. Especially now that there are so many insurance products out there, it's likely that people don't want to register for insurance. Therefore, people must be careful in choosing an insurance product so that it fits what they want. The Decision Support System is a computerized system and is designed to assist management in making decisions to solve semi-structured and unstructured problems so that the decision-making process can be of higher quality. This application that will be made is an application that is guided by the MOORA method. Therefore, an application that is guided by the MOORA method is very suitable for calculating insurance product selection. From the results of our research we conducted the MOOSRA and MOORA methods for selecting insurance products easier and more precise than the manual work method. applying the MOORA method produces an alternative A5, namely Prudential with a value of 0.217 as the best alternative.

Abstract

Employee performance appraisal is very supportive in human resource management that affects various strategic decisions of the company, such as giving bonuses, benefits, and promotions. An objective and fair evaluation is needed to ensure that outstanding employees get the appreciation they deserve.  This research aims to apply the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) technique in determining the priority of assessment criteria. Using 5 main criteria used are productivity, quality of work, discipline, initiative and creativity, and teamwork. The Rank Order Centroid (ROC) method is used because it is easy to determine the weight of the criteria based on the order of the main priorities that have been determined by the decision maker. From the final results of ranking 5 alternatives to the 3 best alternatives, it can be analyzed that the C1 criterion really determines the final score because it is the criteria with the highest priority so that it gets the greatest weight and can affect the assessment results. The implementation of this technique is expected to support more precise and objective decision making and can facilitate decision makers in determining the parameters of the assessment criteria obtained based on the level of priority order of criteria and criteria attributes.

Abstract

In the selection of planning consultants, several criteria are used that must be possessed by the assigning company in the bidding process for the selection of the chosen planning consultants. Each company has its own criteria to determine the selected participants as the winners of the planning work auction. The bidding process for planning work is carried out by several companies to determine the most competent planning consultants, resulting in high-quality design processes and outcomes in terms of cost, quality, and time. This research focuses on finding the best alternative using a decision support system based on predetermined criteria using the Electre method. This research is conducted by calculating the values of each criterion for each participating company's alternative in the auction, as well as the weight values for each criterion. Subsequently, a ranking process is carried out to determine the best alternative, which is the selected planning consultant.

Abstract

Material selection in the construction industry is a strategic decision that affects the cost efficiency, durability, and sustainability of a project. This study applies the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to determine the best construction material based on four main criteria: mechanical strength, environmental resistance, cost efficiency, and environmental sustainability. The hierarchical structure is built with three levels: material selection objectives, evaluation criteria, and compared material alternatives—namely structural steel, cross-laminated timber (CLT), and reinforced concrete. The assessment uses the Saaty scale (1–9), then the matrix is normalized to obtain priority weights. Consistency tests are carried out by calculating the maximum eigenvalue (λmax), Consistency Index (CI), and Consistency Ratio (CR). The results show that structural steel has the highest weight (0.4888093), making it the best choice compared to CLT and reinforced concrete. This study confirms that the AHP method is able to reduce subjectivity in decision making with a data-driven approach. Integration with technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) can improve the accuracy of the analysis. Thus, this method can be a solution in selecting construction materials that are more systematic and sustainable.

Abstract

This study analyzed the influence of community participation and cultural capital on micro, small, and medium enterprises. The growth of micro-businesses in the community is still minimal, so it is urgent and valuable to study the expansion of the micro-business sector in Gorontalo. The research method used is quantitative, with a sample of 170 micro, small, and medium enterprises in Gorontalo and a random cluster sampling selection. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. Descriptive and regression analysis techniques and SPSS Version 29.0 analysis. The results found that the success and creativity of micro businesses are significantly influenced by cultural capital and community participation. It was found that cultural capital and community participation in Gorontalo are essential for increasing micro businesses. In conclusion, small and medium businesses can grow and contribute significantly to the economy by strengthening cultural and community capital. Abstract

The lack of human resource capabilities in industrial technology has an impact on the lack of development of real industrial needs. The urgency of researching the need for human resources in facing advanced industrial technology projects. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the factors that influence the obstacles and difficulties of technology-based industrial internship programs in implementing practical practices in the field. The method used is a quantitative survey type. The sample amounted to 450 industrial engineering students who were selected randomly. The data collection technique was done through an online questionnaire based on a Likert scale of 36 items. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics, assisted by SPSS Version 29.0. With the DIF test, factor analysis, and reliability. The study's results indicate that obstacles and difficulties in program implementation are inadequate preparation, minimal industry involvement, and inadequate quality of project internships. However, programs with technology assistance were effective in improving future skills. Technology-based internship programs can address competency gaps by providing relevant hands-on experience recommendations, increasing industry collaboration, and supporting training in using technology as practical steps. The implications of this study indicate that technology integration in internship activities can be a significant strategy to bridge the gap between student competencies and industry needs.
