Abstract

This research was motivated by the low creativity levels of 4–5-year-old children at PAUD Al-Muttaqin, influenced by limited creative stimulation and excessive gadget use. Children’s creativity needs to be fostered through exploratory activities, one of which is natural-material-based finger painting that is safe and environmentally friendly. This study aims to describe the implementation of finger painting using natural materials and to examine its effects on early childhood creativity development. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of eight children aged 4–5 years and one classroom teacher. The findings reveal that finger painting with natural materials significantly enhanced children’s creativity. Six children who initially showed creative tendencies demonstrated improvement in color combination skills, imaginative drawing, and independent expression. Two initially passive children gradually developed the ability to explore colors and forms and articulate their creative processes. Natural materials provided strong sensory stimulation that increased children’s interest, expressive confidence, and fine motor coordination. Overall, natural-material-based finger painting proved effective as a creative stimulation method in early childhood education

This study is motivated to describe the implementation of pre reading skills using the marbel reading application media in 4-5 years old children at PAUD Al-Muttaqin. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach that emphasizes an in-deep understangding of the learning process through the digital application media. Data were collected through observation, interviews with teacher and documentation of learning activities. The results showed that there was an increase in the pre reading ability of early childhood after using the marbel reading application because the us of the marbel application provides effective stimulation in recognizing letters, words and sound in children, thus increasing interest and pre reading ability gradually. Abstract

Gross motor development is an important aspect of early childhood education because it plays a role in supporting children's physical, cognitive, social, and emotional readiness. However, in practice, gross motor stimulation in PAUD institutions is still not optimal and tends to be dominated by passive activities. This study aims to describe the implementation of the snakes and ladders floor game in developing gross motor skills of children aged 5–6 years at PAUD Nurul Ihsan. This study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The subjects were 13 children in group B consisting of 5 boys and 8 girls, and two class teachers as key informants. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of the snakes and ladders floor game was able to improve children's gross motor skills, especially in aspects of balance, motor coordination, large muscle strength, agility, body control, courage to move, and physical endurance. Children also showed increased self-confidence and social skills, such as waiting their turn and following the rules of the game. It can be concluded that the snakes and ladders floor game is an effective, fun learning medium, and in accordance with the principles of learning through play in PAUD. This game has the potential to be a holistic learning approach in optimizing the gross motor development of early childhood.
