Abstract

Adolescents often lack adequate knowledge about personal hygiene during menstruation, which can increase the risk of reproductive health problems. Effective educational strategies, such as the peer group method, are needed to improve adolescents’ understanding because information delivered by peers tends to be more easily accepted and understood. This study aimed to determine the differences in adolescents’ knowledge before and after receiving health education using the peer group method on personal hygiene during menstruation at SMP Negeri 21 Pontianak. This research employed a quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design involving 34 respondents selected through probability sampling. Data were collected from March 26 to April 3, 2019, using a structured questionnaire. Univariate and bivariate analyses were conducted to examine changes in knowledge levels. The results showed a p-value of 0.001, indicating a statistically significant difference in knowledge before and after the intervention (p < 0.05). The findings demonstrate that peer group–based health education is effective in increasing adolescents’ knowledge regarding menstrual personal hygiene. Therefore, the peer group method can be considered a beneficial approach for reproductive health education among young women at SMP Negeri 21 Pontianak.

Abstract

Pada masa anak prasekolah perkembangan motorik halus sangatlah penting karena motorik halus merupakan aspek dasar anak untuk menuju pada masa sekolah, sepertimemegang pensil dengan baik, menulis, mengenal huruf, angka, dan berhitung. Bilaperkembangan motorik halus ini terlambat berbahaya bagi penyesuaian sosial dan pribadianak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh stimulasi motorik halusterhadap perkembangan motorik halus pada anak usia 4 – 5 tahun di TK Pertiwi TiripanBerbek Nganjuk. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pra eksperimen dengan pendekatan one grouppre test-post test desaign. Dengan menggunakan sampling jenuh dan 20 responden.Pengumpulan data dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah pemberian stimulasi motorik halus,dengan uji Wilcoxon dengan α = 0,05 Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa ada pengaruh stimulasi motorikhalus terhadap perkembangan motorik halus pada anak usia 4 – 5 tahun dengan ρ = 0,025< α = 0,05. Dengan demikian stimulasi motorik halus dapat merangsang kemampuandasar anak untuk tumbuh dan berkembang secara optimal. Kata kunci : Stimulasi, Motorik Halus, Prasekolah

Abstract

Pemberian bercerita secara efektif jelas akan terjadi proses kemampuan bahasa dan mengembangkan bahasanya anak mencapai titik maksimal. Dengan membacakan buku atau mendongeng sama dengan mengenalkan kosa kata baru pada anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian dongeng melalui audio visual terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak usia prasekolah di TK Dharma Wanita 1 Kemaduh Desa Kemaduh Kecamatan Baron Kabupaten Nganjuk. Desain penelitian ini Pra-Eksperimen dengan pendekatan one group pre test post test design pada tanggal 28 Maret – 08 April 2016 di TK Dharma Wanita I Kemaduh Desa Kemaduh Kecamatan Baron Kabupaten Nganjuk pada anak prasekolah dengan populasi 20 anak. Teknik total sampling dengan 20 responden. Dalam penelitian ini variabel independen pemberian dongeng melalui audio visual variabel dependen perkembangan bahasa anak prasekolah dikumpulkan dengan observasi dan wawancara. Uji statistik Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test dengan α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian sebelum diberikan dongeng melalui audio visual yaitu 7 responden (23,33%) mempunyai perkembangan bahasa anak perlu mendapatkan stimulai lebih intensif. Sesudah diberikan dongeng tidak satupun dari responden (0,00%) mempunyai perkembangan bahasa anak perlu mendapatkan stimulasi lebih intensif. Hasil uji didapatkan p value = 0,003 ≤ α = 0,05 maka Ha ditrima berarti ada pengaruh pemberian dongeng melalui audio visual terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak prasekolah di TK Dharma Wanita I Kemaduh Desa Kemaduh kecamatan Baron Kabupaten Nganjuk. Pemberian dongeng adalah salah satu cara yang efektif untuk meningkatkan perkembangan bahasa anak. Sehingga peran aktif orang tua perlu untuk meningkat perkembangan bahasa anak dengan memberikan dongeng.

Abstract

Motorik halus adalah gerakan yang menggunakan otot halus serta memerlukan koordinasi antara mata dan tangan. Motorik halus yang terganggu dapat menyebabkan kesulitan dalam mengeksplor lingkungan dan kesulitan dalam proses belajar di sekolah. Stimulasi motorik halus pada anak usia prasekolah perlu dilakukan sebagai permulaan prasekolah dalam menulis dan menggambar. Untuk meningkatkan motorik halus diperlukan stimulasi, salah satu stimulasi untuk meningkatkan motorik halus adalah mewarnai gambar. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menstimulasi perkembangan motorik halus pada anak usia prasekolah yang dilaksanakan di TK Dharma Wanita I Werungotok Kabupaten Nganjuk, dengan melibatkan 29 anak usia 4-6 tahun. Metode yang digunakan dengan mengukur perkembangan motorik halus anak prasekolah sebelum kegiatan mewarnai (pretest) dan setelah mewarnai (posttest). Hasil dari pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan perkembangan motorik halus anak prasekolah sebelum mewarnai 31% menjadi 75,9% setelah mewarnai. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa mewarnai gambar pada anak prasekolah dapat mengembangkan kreativitas dan imajinasi melalui koordinasi antara mata dan tangan anak sehingga perkembangan motorik halus akan berkembang optimal sesuai usia

Abstract

HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that infects cells in the body and weakens the human immune system, making it more susceptible to various diseases. Meanwhile, the symptoms of the disease arising from HIV itself are referred to as AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome). Approximately 50% of people with AIDS in Indonesia are adolescents. Until now, HIV/AIDS has ranked second in East Java province. HIV/AIDS is classified as a dangerous disease because of the risk of death. Unfortunately, there is no treatment method or vaccine that could prevent this disease. This monitoring program to prevent the development of dangerous health cases such as HIV/AIDS is very helpful for local governments. Along with the development of information technology, the emergence rate of new HIV/AIDS cases can now be forecasted using machine learning as a monitoring tool to support. This machine learning-based monitoring program works with past data for statistical analysis. In this study, the methods used are Kalman Filter, Recurrent Neural Network, and Decision Tree. The Kalman Filter is a type of filter method that is used to predict the state of a dynamic, stochastic, linear, discrete system. A Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) is a development of a Neural Network. RNN deals with input sequence/time-series data by individual sector at each step and preserves the information it has captured at previous time steps in a hidden state. A Decision Tree is one of the classic tree-based prediction methods. The best error value (RMSE) achieved by each method is 0.0885 for the Kalman Filter, then for the Recurrent Neural Network method achieved 0.198, and the Decision Tree method successfully achieved 0.0287.

Abstract

The Measles–Rubella (MR) vaccine is a combined vaccine intended to prevent measles and rubella, two infectious diseases that can cause serious health complications in children and women of reproductive age. Despite the national MR immunization program, coverage remains suboptimal in several areas. Data from the Tuan Tuan Community Health Center, Benua Kayong District, in 2018 showed that during School Children Immunization Month (BIAS), only 281 out of 767 elementary school students received the MR vaccine, and five elementary schools refused MR immunization due to parental considerations. This study aimed to analyze factors associated with maternal compliance with MR immunization among elementary school students in the working area of the Tuan Tuan Community Health Center, Ketapang Regency. This study employed an analytical cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 106 parents of first-grade elementary school students in Tuan Tuan Village, Benua Kayong District, Ketapang Regency. Samples were selected using simple random sampling, with proportional sampling applied to each elementary school. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed statistically. The results showed that maternal age was significantly associated with MR immunization compliance, while maternal occupation, socioeconomic status, and maternal knowledge were not associated with compliance. Environmental support was found to have a significant relationship with maternal compliance with MR immunization. In conclusion, maternal age and environmental support were factors associated with maternal compliance with MR immunization among elementary school students in Tuan Tuan Village. Strengthening environmental support and targeted health education may improve MR immunization coverage in this area.

Abstract

Preconception health, particularly nutritional status, is a crucial factor in pregnancy preparation and is closely associated with maternal and neonatal outcomes. In West Kalimantan, the proportion of pregnant women at risk of Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) reached 14.0% in 2017. Additionally, the prevalence of Low Birth Weight (LBW) increased from 3.20% in 2016 to 3.62% in 2017. This study aimed to determine differences in knowledge and attitudes of prospective brides before and after receiving health education on preconception nutrition delivered through a WhatsApp group in the West Pontianak Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) area. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach. A total of 41 respondents were selected using consecutive sampling. Primary data were collected using a structured questionnaire. The results showed a significant improvement in both knowledge and attitudes of prospective brides after the health education intervention, with a p-value < 0.05 (p = 0.000). In conclusion, health education delivered through WhatsApp groups is effective in improving knowledge and attitudes regarding preconception nutrition among prospective brides.
