Abstract

The Effect of Adding Natural Ingredients to Artificial Feed on the Color Brightness Level of Goldfish (Cyprinus carpio Linn). This research aims to determine the effect of adding natural ingredients to artificial feed on the level of color brightness of goldfish (Cyprinus carpio Linn), and the growth rate and survival rate of the test fish. The method used in this research is an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications with a feeding frequency of three times per day with a percentage of 5% of the body weight of the test fish, a natural ingredient used in making artificial feed. These are pumpkin flour (Cucurbita moschata), mangosteen rind flour (Garcinia mangostana L), and carrot flour (Daucus carota L) with the same dose in each treatment, namely 25% of 1 kg of feed. Based on the results of variance analysis, the brightness level of goldfish color has a very real influence. The highest increase in the color of the test fish was obtained in treatment A, pumpkin flour, amounting to (1.37) on the Toca color finder scale (from pale orange to dark orange), followed by the second highest in treatment C, carrot flour, amounting to (1.2), treatment B flour. Mangosteen peel was in third position with an increase in color of (0.94) and the lowest increase in color change occurred in treatment D (control = without the addition of natural ingredients) of 0.7. However, absolute weight and length growth did not have a real influence. The overall graduation rate is 87.49%. The average water quality parameters are temperature 26-29oC, pH 7.5-7.9 and ammonia 0.25 ppm.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan probiotik disinyalir dapat membantu meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh ikan dan memperbaiki kualitas air, tentunya memperbaiki tingkat kelulusan hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan probiotik EM-4 (Effective Microorganisme-4) pada pakan terhadap terhadap tebar yang berbeda dalam peningkatan kelulusan hidup dan pertumbuhan ikan lele dumbo. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan September sampai bulan Oktober 2019. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan berupa jumlah kepadatan penebaran yang berbeda (P1: 50 ekor/48 liter air), (P2 : 65 ekor/48 liter air), (P3 : 80 ekor/48 liter air) dan (P4 : 95 ekor/ 48 liter air). Data dianalisis dengan Analisis Variansi (ANAVA) setelah memenuhi persyaratan, selanjutnya dilakukan uji homogenitas ragam galat dan menggunakan sebaran chi-kuadrat dengan rumus Steel dan Torries (2003). Hasil menunjukkan jumlah kepadatan penebaran yang berbeda berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelulusan hidup benih ikan lele dumbo (Clarias gariepinus). Kepadatan penebaran yang optimal terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelulusan hidup benih ikan lele dumbo kepadatan penebaran 50 ekor/48 liter air, dengan rata-rata kelulusan hidup 90,66 %, rata-rata pertumbuhan berat mutlak 19,10 gram dan rata-rata pertumbuhan panjang tubuh 9 cm.This study aimed to determine the effect of the use of EM-4 probiotics (effective microorganisms-4) in feed on different stockings in increasing the survival rate and growth of African catfish. This research was conducted by the Faculty of Fisheries Laboratory of the Dharmawangsa University Medan from September to October 2019. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design,  with 4 treatments 3 replications. The treatment consists of the different amounts of stocking density (P1: 50 fish / 48 liters of water), (P2: 65 fish / 48 liters of water), (P3: 80 fish / 48 liters of water) and (P4: 95 fish / 48 liters of water). The observation result Data is analyzed by variance analysis (ANAVA) after meeting the requirements,  Subsequently conducted a variety of error test homogenized and use a chi-squared spread with the formula Steel and Torries (2003). The results showed that the different amounts of stocking density affected the growth and graduation of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) seeds. The optimal density of stocking on the growth and graduation of live African catfish is the density of 50 fish/ 48 liters of water, with an average survival rate of 90.66%, average growth of absolute weight of 19.10 grams and average growth length of 9 cm

Abstract

Perairan Belawan Pulau Sicanang merupakan kawasan yang rentan terhadap pencemaran logam berat, karena kawasan perairan ini berdekatan dengan kawasan industri, pelabuhan, dan permukiman. Logam berat sangat berbahaya bagi kehidupan hewan aquatik maupun bagi kesehatan manusia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian diskriptif eksploratif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan logam berat berupa: Timbal (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), dan Merkuri (Hg) pada perairan ekositem mangrove Belawan Pulau Sicanang. Keberadaan ekosistem hutan mangrove di kawasan ini berfungsi sebagai penyangga kehidupan. Kandungan logam berat di perairan bisa diserap oleh tanaman mangrove sebagai fitoremediasi.Penentuan stasiun pengamatan berdasarkan purvosive sampling, dengan Stasiun 1 yang merupakan kawasan hutan mangrove alami dan Stasiun 2 yang merupakan kawasan perusahaan dan pabrik). Metode uji sampel air dengan Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). Hasil analisis logam berat dari air sampel berupa: Pb (0,15 ppm) pada Stasiun 1 dan 0,33 ppm pada Stasiun 2, Cd (0,04 ppm) pada Stasiun 1 dan 0,11 ppm pada Stasiun 2, Sedangkan Hg (<0.1011 ppm) nilainya sama pada Stasiun 1 dan 2. Berdasarkan hasil analisis logam berat berupa: Pb, Cd dan Hg pada kedua perairan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kawasan hutan magrove alami memiliki kandungan logam lebih rendah daripada kawasan industri.

Abstract

Mangroves are important ecosystems located in tidal areas and become habitats for various types of biota, including macrozobenthos. Macrozobenthos is a group of animals that inhabit the bottom waters of mangrove ecosystems. This study aims to analyze the diversity of macrozobenthos species in the mangrove ecotourism area of Pulau Banyak village, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. This research was conducted from October 2022 to October 2023 in the fisheries-based mangrove ecotourism area in Pulau Bayak village, Langkat Regency. The research location was divided into three research stations. Macrozobentos observations were made once a month. Sample collection is done by collecting directly by hand, the samples collected are on the sample map (plot) measuring 1 x 1 meter making as many as 10 pieces for every 100 m2. Data were analyzed using the Paleontological Statistic (PAST) Version 4.0 tool. Parameters studied include diversity index, evenness, species richness, and dominance. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the diversity index is in the medium category with a value of 2.4-2.5, while the evenness index is in the high category with a value of 0.91 - 0.92, then the species richness index is in a low category with a value of 2.20 - 2.22 and the dominance index shows that there are no certain species that dominate this ecosystem with an index value close to 0. Thus, it can be concluded that this fisheries-based mangrove ecotourism area is in good condition and can support the lives of organisations associated with mangrove ecosystems.

Abstract

This research was conducted for 2 months from June to July 2023 in Pulau Banyak village, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra Province. This research aims to analyze the economic valuation of mangrove ecosystems, which can later be used as the basis for the development of ecotourism areas. This research was conducted using a survey method and data collection was carried out by interviewing the community of Pulau Banyak village both directly and indirectly interacting with the mangrove ecosystem. The number of respondents in this study was 91. The results showed that 72% of respondents worked as fishermen. The results of the economic valuation analysis show that the direct benefit value of mangrove forests in Pulau Banyak village is Rp. 372,240,000.00 per year, the indirect benefit value is Rp. 242,939,008.00 per year. Optional benefits of Rp. 23,787,891.75 per year and the benefits of this mangrove forest of Rp. 3,986,797.5 per year. The total economic value of the mangrove ecosystem of Pulau Banyak village, Langkat Regency is Rp. 642,953,697.25 per year. With this condition, the mangrove forest of Pulau Banyak village, Langkat Regency can be developed as an ecotourism area.

Abstract

Lingkungan V Bagan Deli berada di Kecamatan Medan Belawan. Di Lingkungan ini penduduknya berprofesi sebagai nelayan tradisional dan buruh nelayan Nelayan adalah suatu kelompok masyarakat yang mengandalkan perairan laut sebagai mata pencaharian utamanya, umumnya mereka tinggal di kawasan pesisir pantai dengan sanitasi lingkungan yang kurang baik dan umumnya menggunakan alat tangkap yang sangat sederhana sehingga hasil tangkapannya juga sangat rendah sehingga kebutuhan hidup rumah tangganya sering tidak dapat tercukupi dengan baik. Ketika laut semakin sulit memberi hasil yang maksimal, tak jarang bahkan seringkali hasil tangkapan melaut hanya bisa menutupi kebutuhan satu hari saja. Ketika musim bersahabat saat melaut adakalanya memberikan hasil tangkapan yang melimpah, namun disisi lain harga jual ikannya menjadi turun. Hal ini berdampak pada pemenuhan kebutuhan ekonomi nelayan tradisional dan buruh nelayan tidak tercukupi dengan baik. Tujuan PKM ini adalah memberikan pelatihan teori dan praktek olahan hasil perikanan seperti kaki naga dan fish stick. Sedangkan yang menjadi mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah Kelompok “Emak-Emak” Pesisir Bagan Deli. Adapun metode PKM ini yaitu: 1) share and discussion, 2) theory and try, 3) realisasi. Hasil produk dari PKM ini adalah kaki naga dan fish stick. Setelah dilakukan pelatihan kepada para anggota mitra ada peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan penghasilan/omset ± 10%

Abstract

Cyberbullying is a form of bullying that occurs in the digital world through social media, which has serious psychological and physical impacts on victims, such as depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, and decreased motivation to study. Teenagers, as active users of social media, are vulnerable to this type of bullying, so anti-bullying education on social media is very important to increase awareness, empathy, and responsibility in online interactions. The community service program at MAPN 4 Medan employs interactive socialization methods, provides educational modules, and establishes peer support groups to prevent and address cyberbullying. Evaluations indicate improved understanding among students and teachers regarding the various forms and impacts of cyberbullying, as well as increased awareness of the need for proactive action in prevention. Teacher involvement and school environment support are key factors in the program's success. With ongoing education and social support, it is hoped that a safe, comfortable, and mentally healthy school environment will be created for students in the digital age

Abstract

Sekarang ini ada peningkatan konsumsi global kepiting. Peningkatan konsumsi global berdampak positif terhadap perekonomian Indonesia, tetapi produksi kepiting hasil tangkapan dari laut Indonesia termasuk wilayah Kabupaten Langkat masih rendah. Salah satu strategi untuk mengatasi masalah rendahnya produksi kepiting hasil tangkap dari laut adalah pengembangan industri budidaya kepiting soka atau kepiting cangkang lunak. Ada sejumlah spesies kepiting yang dapat dijadikan menjadi kepiting cangkang lunak dan dapat dibudidayakan sebagai contoh kepiting bakau dan spesies lainnya antara lain Portunus pelagicus dan Callinectes sapidus. Tulisan ini merupakan laporan hasil penelitian mengenai pengaruh jenis kelamin dan sumber bibit kepiting terhadap produksi kepiting cangkang lumah. Sehingga tujuan penelitian tersebut adalah mendapatkan informasi mengenai pengaruh jenis kelamin dan sumber bibit terhadap produksi kepiting cangkang lunak. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di unit tambak selama empat bulan, yaitu dari Agustus sampai November 2020 yang berlokasi di Desa Tanjung Ibus Kecamatan Secanggang Kabupaten Langkat Provinsi Sumatera Utara, berlokasi di inot tambak milik peneliti. Penelitian ini berupa percobaan faktorial dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 2 (dua) faktor perlakuan. Faktor perlakuan pertama adalah jenis kelamin (K) yang terdiri dari 3 jenis yaitu betina dengan bentuk perut V (K1), betina dengan bentuk perut U (K2) dan jantan (K3). Faktor perlakuan kedua adalah sumber bibit (S) yang terdiri dari hasil tangkapan langsung dari laut (S1) dan dari tangkapan setelah dibesarkan terlebih dahulu (S2). Setiap kombinasi perlakuan diulang 3 (tiga) kali. Parameter uji yang digunakan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh perlakuan dalam penelitian ini antara lain: prosentase kelulushidupan, total produksi dan kualitas air (suhu, pH, salinitas, dan kandungan oksigen terlarut). Uji sidik ragam dalam percobaan faktorial dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dalam studi ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor perlakuan sumber bibit dan faktor perlakuan jenis kelamin bibit berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi kepiting lunak tetapi interaksi antara perlakuan sumber bibit dan perlakuan jenis kelamin bibit tidak nyata pengaruhnya terhadap produksi kepiting lunak. Jenis kelamin dan sumber bibit kepiting berpengaruh nyata tetapi interaksi kedua factor perlakuan tersebut tidak nyata terhadap produksi kepiting lunak. Kepiting berjenis kelamin betina bentuk V memiliki produksi kepiting lunakmlebih tinggimdibandingkan dengan kepiting berjenis kelamin betina bentuk U dan dengan kepiting yang berjenis kelamin jantan.
