Abstract

The supply chain is the main factor influencing the production process in achieving goals. This research develops a model to determine the optimal production lot size in the supply chain system between vendors and buyers by considering the inventory shortage at the buyer. Minimizing the combined inventory cost is the goal of optimizing the production lot size by developing an integration model to determine the optimal lot size. The proposed model uses a periodic delivery method from the vendor to the buyer and allows for inventory shortages at the buyer. An iterative algorithm is applied to find the optimal lot size and minimum integrated inventory cost. The results showed that the initial model with n=1 resulted in a total cost of 2252 and an optimal production size (Q*) of 457. The proposed model reduces the total cost to 1605 with an optimal production size (Q*) of 737. Sensitivity analysis showed that an increase in the frequency of deliveries to vendors and vendor set-up costs contributed to a rise in total cost, while an increase in vendor storage costs led to a decrease in production lot size. This research can improve the efficiency of production planning and inventory management in the supply chain.Keywords - Inventory, Shortages, Single Buyer, Single Vendor.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) adalah salah satu sektor penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia, oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan pengembangan secara serius dan mendalam terkait bagaimana UMKM dapat berkembang dan berkelanjutan guna memberikan manfaat yang sangat positif bagi perekonomian dan kesejahteraan pelaku UMKM. Pembekalan ilmu pengetahuan dan ketrampilan untuk para pelaku usaha UMKM perlu dilakukan secara berkala dan berkelanjutan guna menambah wawasan terkait bagaimana perkembangan zaman, kondisi persaingan dan perubahan perilaku konsumen. Pada pengabdian ini akan dijelaskan mengenai pentingnya memiliki citra merek yang kuat. Proses tersebut meliputi mengidentifikasi, melakukan analisis, melakukan evaluasi, mengendalikan dan meningkatkan citra merek. Pelatihan ini dimaksudkan agar dapat membantu berkembangnya UMKM serta dapat memberikan kemudahan bagi pengelola UMKM dalam menjalankan usahanya untuk mengelola usaha secara baik. Selain itu dapat menjadikan implementasi bagi pelaku UMKM untuk meperhatikan merek usaha meraka agar dapat ditingkatkan dan lebih dikenal oleh masyarakat yang lebih luas. Dari peningkatan kekuatan merek yang lebih kuat dan baik, maka permintaan usaha semakin baik, dan berdampak pada peningkatan pendapatan.

Abstract

Produktivitas merupakan menganalisis dan mengevaluasi output yang didapat berdasarkan tingkat unjuk kerja selama periode waktu tertentu adalah komponen penting untuk menjaga kelangsungan hidup suatu perusahaan. Pengukuran produktivitas diperlukan untuk mengetahui produktivitas perusahaan saat ini. OMAX (Objective Matrix Method) adalah salah satu metode untuk menganalisis produktivitas perusahaan, dan langkah-langkah, Proses Analitik Hierarki untuk penentuan bobot, penentuan tingkat tujuan matriks, kalkulasi untuk index produktivitas, dan Evaluasi dengan traffic light system untuk membagi tingkat pencapaian indikator dan memperbaiki tingkat yang tidak mencapai. Menurut evaluasi traffic light system, rasio jam lembur sebenarnya menyebabkan penurunan produktivitas. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan produktivitas diperlukanmengevaluasi pada penjadwalan jam lembur aktual agar produktivitas tetap sesuai target yang sudah di tentukan oleh Perusahaan. Abstract

This research was conducted at a logistics company engaged in warehousing and logistics services, or 3PL (third-party logistics service providers). Based on the results of the study, it is known that there are three types of product defects, the highest occurring during the last month, namely differences in pallet wood dimensions, cracks, and knots in pallet wood. From the FTA (Free Trade Agreement) diagram, it is known that the wood dimension product defect is a product defect that has the highest percentage of defects among other product defects, which is 62%. The processing results obtained an average DPMO value of 353.28 failures per one million, and the sigma level is around 3.33. Based on data analysis using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, there are 3 product defects: dimensional differences, cracks, and knots on pallets. The main causes of product defects are checking goods from less careful suppliers, using damaged wooden pallets, and lacking lighting in the work area. Based on the analysis using SIX SIGMA and FMEA, quality improvement proposals for the company, namely conducting training and training so that employee knowledge and skills increase, selecting pallets that meet the standards, and adding lighting in the work area.  Keywords: Defect, FTA, DPMO, Six Sigma, FMEA

Abstract

PT HATNI menghadapi permasalahan tingkat inventori yang tinggi pada produk Frozen Whole Round Block (FWRB) akibat produksi yang tidak optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengoptimalkan produksi FWRB dengan menerapkan metode Economic Production Quantity (EPQ) untuk mengurangi inventori dan meningkatkan efisiensi. Metodologi penelitian meliputi pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder melalui wawancara, observasi, serta analisis data historis produksi, permintaan, dan persediaan tahun 2024. Perhitungan EPQ dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan biaya set-up, tingkat produksi, permintaan, dan biaya penyimpanan. Feasibilitas kapasitas produksi dinilai untuk memastikan kelayakan penerapan EPQ. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan feasibilitas kapasitas produksi sebesar 0.56 (<1), mengindikasikan EPQ layak diterapkan. Nilai produksi optimal (EPQ) adalah 24,923.72 kg per siklus dengan siklus produksi 14.87 hari dan waktu produksi efektif 8.31 hari. Tingkat inventori maksimal turun menjadi 11,002.92 kg, dengan rata-rata inventori per bulan 5,501.46 kg, menurun 26.97% dari kondisi sebelumnya. Kesimpulannya penerapan EPQ berhasil mengoptimalkan produksi FWRB dan mengurangi inventori PT HATNI. Efisiensi ini memungkinkan perusahaan untuk meningkatkan arus keuangan dan mengurangi risiko overcrowding serta penurunan kualitas produk. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbandingan metode full costing dan variable costing dalam penentuan harga pokok produksi (HPP) pada UMKM Langgeng Rasa yang memproduksi kue kering tradisional kembang goyang. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya penentuan HPP yang tepat sebagai dasar dalam menentukan harga jual produk agar UMKM mampu bersaing dan memperoleh keuntungan optimal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi biaya bahan baku, tenaga kerja langsung, serta biaya overhead pabrik baik tetap maupun variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode full costing menghasilkan nilai HPP yang lebih tinggi karena memasukkan seluruh unsur biaya produksi, sedangkan metode variable costing hanya menghitung biaya variabel sehingga menghasilkan nilai HPP yang lebih rendah. Perbedaan ini memberikan implikasi terhadap strategi penetapan harga jual dan analisis profitabilitas. Dengan demikian, pemilihan metode yang tepat dapat membantu UMKM dalam meningkatkan akurasi perhitungan biaya, penentuan harga, serta pengambilan keputusan manajerial.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a manufacturing company engaged in the production of NPK fertilizer. During its production process, the company frequently encounters machine downtime issues that significantly affect overall production effectiveness. This study aims to evaluate machine performance effectiveness using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method by assessing three key components: Availability, Performance, and Quality, as well as to identify the dominant sources of failure through Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel through descriptive and comparative approaches to calculate the average OEE value, identify the contribution of the Six Big Losses, and determine the Risk Priority Number (RPN) in FMEA. The results show that the average OEE value was 83%, consisting of Availability 76%, Performance 110%, and Quality 99.8%, which remains below the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM) standard of 85%. The largest loss factor originated from idling and minor stoppages, contributing 38.2% of total production losses. FMEA analysis identified the most critical failure mode in the gearbox/fluid coupling of the conveyor, with the highest RPN value of 448.3, caused by mechanical wear and insufficient periodic inspections. Based on these findings, it is recommended to implement a scheduled preventive maintenance program, ensure the availability of critical spare parts, and enhance operator competence in machine operation and monitoring to improve the overall production system effectiveness.

Abstract

PT BSB is a company engaged in steel fabrication manufacturing. There are various kinds of projects carried out at the company, namely bridges, steel structures, buildings, towers, etc. and the irregular placement of steel in the warehouse results in problems in the steel storage warehouse at PT. BSB where the company does not have an arrangement regarding the layout of raw materials for steel retrieval has difficulty because the steel is stored randomly without paying attention to its type and is only placed in an empty place. Therefore, it is necessary to design a layout using the dedicated storage and class-based storage methods to improve the warehouse layout by designing a warehouse layout so that it can make it easier to find and minimize steel search time. Results of research carried out obtained that distance travelled using the dedicated storage method is amounting to 7790,85 metres with material handling time 15581,7 minutes, whereas with use class based storage method can be obtained distance 8382,05 metres with material handling time 16764,1 minutes. Concluded that design results Select the selected layout is with use possible dedicated storage method reduce distance travel and time at PT. BSB warehouse becomes more practice and efficient

Abstract

. PT XYZ is a palm oil derivative processing company that produces biodiesel / FAME (Fatty Acid Methyl Ester) products. However, there are several obstacles that still occur during the company's production process which causes the acid value (AV) level of FAME products to not meet specifications and there are 3% defective products. Therefore, this study aims to determine the improvement plan by applying kaizen to the Six Sigma improvement stage and reducing outspec products in the FAME production process. The results of the research conducted using the six sigma method show that the company has a DPMO value of 71,459 and a sigma value of 2.96 which is in the average position of the industry in Indonesia based on the results of data processing. While recommendations for improvement by implementing kaizen include training machine operators, making standard operating procedures (SOPs) for machine inspections on each shift, reducing the amount of strearin added to AV raw materials before pre-treatment, maintenance and machine calibration.  This step are expected to overcome the main problems identified in the study.

Abstract

Perusahaan ini bergerak dalam bidang industri garment (retail hijab) yang mengikuti era modernisasi dengan melakukan sistem penjualan offline maupun online. Sehingga menimbulkan jumlah pemintaan hijab semakin tinggi dan perusahaan harus meningkatkan produktivitas karyawannya. Salah satu cara meningkatkan produktivitas karyawan yaitu dengan menganalisis postur kerja karyawan agar tidak mudah kelelahan saat melakukan pekerjaan. Karyawan yang mengalami nyeri pada sendi maupun merasa sering kelelahan mengakibatkan pengerjaan produk dengan lambat sehingga menyebabkan menurunya poduktivitas pekerja. Dengan adanya kuisoner nordic body map (NBM) membatu dalam proses analisis keluhan rasa sakit yang sering terjadi pada tubuh responden (karyawan bagian finishing). Dari hasil data yang telah diperoleh maka dilakukan penelitian menggunakan metode rapid entire body assesment (REBA) dengan harapan dapat dilakukannya identifikasi faktor risiko ergonomi sehingga dapat dilakukan penanganan dengan efektif dan efisien. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, karyawan pada proses finishing ini sangat memerlukan perubahan posisi postur tubuh ketika bekerja.
