Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Teaching Factory system on guest satisfaction at De Balen Soultan Hotel. The method used is a quantitative approach with descriptive and causal designs. The sample consists of 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale to measure the dimensions in the SERVQUAL model, which include tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression techniques. The results of the study show that guest satisfaction has a significant effect on the implementation of the teaching factory. The dimensions of tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy each have a significant impact on guest satisfaction. The discussion reveals that the implementation of the teaching factory improves students' practical skills, which directly affects the quality of service at the hotel. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the Teaching Factory at the hotel has a positive impact on guest satisfaction. Recommendations for De Balen Soultan Hotel include continuously improving service quality by paying attention to guest feedback, while for students, it is suggested to be more active in practical training to better prepare for the workforce. Abstract

The development of tourism can help the welfare of the rural population through developing a tourist village concept. The potential of the village can be used as a tourist attraction. Klaten Regency has a very abundant potential of springs that located in Ponggok village which is mostly used by local residents for irrigating rice fields, agriculture, and fish cultivation. However, the existing springs in the Ponggok village are now used as tourist destinations that spread across several locations, such as Umbul Ponggok, Umbul Sigedang, Umbul Besuki, Waduk Galau/Banyu Mili. This study uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis and the data obtained through questionnaires distributed and completed by respondents as many as 135 respondents. SWOT analysis is employed to investigate internal and external factors to analyze Ponggok Tourism Village development strategy towards integrated tourism area.

Abstract

Good service quality in the hotel can be achieved if employees are able to anticipate and meet the guest’s needs. Therefore, it is necessary to have a section focusing on a certain type of guests, namely VIP and VVIP guests. in order to achieve good relations with guests. This section is called Butler which cover personal services so that the service quality is expected to increase. This study aims to study the guests opinion about the existence of Butler at Raffles Hotel, Jakarta and to find out the relationships between Butler and service quality. Research methods used is descriptive correlational where correlational coefficient and coefficient of determination are computed. Data was collected using questionnaire distributed to VIP/VVIP guests at Raffles Hotel Jakarta. Sample size was 53 and sampling technique was non probability purposive sampling. The result showed that on the whole the existence of butler was rated very good by VIP guests in Raffles Hotel Jakarta. Meanwhile, service quality received by guests was also very good. There was a strong positive relationship between Butler's existence and service quality in Raffles Hotel Jakarta.
