The results of his research are that there are 4 public trusts in sacred objects, the sacred tok lile, the sacred blood of putig tomb, the sea, and the huntan. The reason people believe in these sacred objects is because the first one is entrusted to them by their ancestors/ancestors. Trust from ancestors/ancestors that are recognized and obligatory for the community to believe in it. Where the Malay people are still thick with existing customs and then are still steadfast and obedient to their ancestor's deposit. Second, the parent's deposit. Parents play an important role in the child's growth process. As a Malay, the people of Pulau Subi feel that something is missing when they cannot follow or carry out the advice of their parents. Third, it has existed for a long time so it is difficult to get rid of it. Belief in sacred objects is preserved by the community so that it has become a habit in their lives. This belief has become part of their culture and is difficult to let go of.

Abstract

Singkep is the name of an island in the Riau Archipelago. In the course of its history, Singkep Island is a sub-district with the capital city in Dabo. Like other big cities in Indonesia. Lingga Regency is also not spared from population growth. Previously, Lingga Regency was a tin producer with a mining reputation for almost 2 (two) centuries (1812-1992), to be precise on Singkep Island. After PT tin or UPTS (Singkep Tin Mining Unit) closes, it leaves remnants of tin excavations such as holes that spread across Singkep Island and are not closed again causing the former excavation holes to collect water so that a pit is formed. Over time, settlements that were formerly residential areas of miners became urban areas and the number of divisions carried out by the government consisted of several sub-districts, sub-districts and several villages. The purpose of this study was to identify the adaptation of beach coolies during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Dabo Lama Village, Singkep District, Lingga Regency. This research was carried out using descriptive, qualitative methods with as many as 6 informants used in this study and using observation, interview and documentation data collection techniques and tools. The results of the study found that in this study, the people of the Dabo Lama sub-district during the pandemic experienced a change in society, which had always worked as stone and sand miners, laborers, gardeners, civil servants and the private sector. Now some have switched to new jobs, because people are trying to adapt to the surrounding environment, so that their living conditions can continue as usual. The impact that occurs is the loss of livelihood for workers, especially sand and stone mining workers and the occurrence of cultural shock with a new culture, but they are able to adapt

Abstract

The phenomenon of land conflict is one of the problems that often occurs in society. Land is a basic human need for life so that every human being tries to own and control it. One of the land conflicts that occurred was the conflict over a protected forest area which only had forest and the main function of protection but in reality, the designation of a protected forest area in Gading Sari Village was a residential area, public facilities, community cultivated land and not a natural forest. The fact that forests cannot be separated from human elements such as the presence of local communities who have lived in the area for generations. Even before there were state regulations, the context of forest areas had to be placed in the mindset of spatial planning and interactions between elements. This condition worries the local community for the ownership they have, the overlapping regulations experienced by the community make the community still have to defend their right to housing for survival. Meanwhile, the government is trying to keep implementing policies, which in this case is to protect protected forest areas according to their functions. The purpose of this study was to find out how the struggle for rights to settlements and protected forest areas in the Gading Sari Village, Kundur District, used Pierre Bourdieu's Social Practice theory. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with as many as 12 informants and uses data collection techniques and tools in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study found that the habitus owned by the community is understood that the Gading Sari Village is not owned by anyone, but the rules that have been issued by the government as symbolic capital will change the community's habitus and make the Gading Sari Village an arena of struggle with various capitals owned. The community is trying to maintain their settlements, but on the other hand the government is also trying to keep implementing the rules by issuing new policies that are adapted to the conditions of the community.

Abstract

This study aims to understand how solidarity is formed and maintained among members of the Boy Group Seventeen fan community, Carat Indonesia, on social media X (formerly Twitter,we use the term "social media platform X" throughout this manuscript) despite the anonymity of interactions. It explores the paradox of solidarity emerging without personal identity disclosure, challenging the conventional notion that solidarity is trust-based. This study employs a qualitative method with a netnography approach to provide an in-depth analysis of solidarity dynamics in online communities. Informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique to provide relevant insights into this phenomenon. The study reveals that anonymous identities do not hinder the formation of trust among Indonesian Carat members on social media X. Instead, trust is built by assessing the track record of account owners. The solidarity that emerges aligns with Durkheim’s concept of mechanical solidarity, which is characterized by shared interests, low division of labor, high collective consciousness, and repressive norms. This study focused solely on the Carat Indonesia community on social media platform X, limiting its generalizability to other online fan communities. Additionally, reliance on online observations and interactions may not fully capture offline aspects of solidarity. This study contributes to the understanding of online community solidarity by demonstrating how trust and cohesion can be established despite anonymity. This extends Durkheim’s theory of social solidarity to digital interactions, providing insights into the mechanisms of mechanical solidarity in contemporary online spaces.

Abstract

Juvenile delinquency in society, apart from awareness among teenagers, there is also a need for assistance from external parties such as parents, community leaders and organizations or institutions to help control teenagers. Mosque youth is one of the external youth institutions which can be a means of social control for teenagers in society, which as the name suggests is a religious organization, by instilling spiritual and physical values, it is hoped that mosque youth organizations can become a means of control for teenagers in their environment. Data collection techniques use direct observation and structured interviews to obtain data. The theory used in this research is F.Ivan Nye's social control. F.Ivan Nye's social control theory explains his various assumptions regarding the importance of controlling teenagers so that they do not commit deviations and what is needed to establish control. The research results show that mosque youth organizations as a tool of social control fulfill F.Ivan Nye's assumptions regarding various aspects needed to carry out control such as instilling values and providing good socialization to teenagers so that they then become aware of themselves to comply with existing laws and values.
