Abstract

This study is a literature review that examines cooperative learning models and their influence on learning outcomes and student engagement at the elementary school level. Based on a review of various literature concerning the principles, characteristics, and types of cooperative learning such as STAD, TGT, Jigsaw II, and NHT, along with relevant empirical evidence, it was found that cooperative learning can improve students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities while also strengthening their behavioral, emotional, and cognitive engagement. The success of its implementation is influenced by task designs that are able to build positive interdependence and individual responsibility, teachers’ ability to manage groups, the support of facilities and infrastructure, as well as the application of process evaluation to avoid the emergence of the free-rider phenomenon. Several obstacles frequently encountered include the dominance of teacher-centered methods, limited instructional time, differences in students’ abilities, and the inadequate readiness of teachers and supporting facilities. Therefore, this study recommends teacher training related to cooperative learning techniques, the utilization of collaborative technology to monitor the contribution of each group member, the use of clear group process assessment rubrics, as well as further research in the form of quasi-experimental or mixed-method studies to measure the effect of cooperative learning on student engagement and learning outcomes within the context of elementary schools in Indonesia. The findings of the study indicate that cooperative learning, when implemented and managed properly, can become an effective strategic alternative for improving the quality of learning and student participation in elementary schools.

Abstract

Evaluasi pendidikan merupakan komponen strategis dalam sistem pembelajaran modern yang berperan sebagai dasar pengambilan keputusan untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan secara berkelanjutan. Dalam paradigma pendidikan abad ke-21, evaluasi tidak lagi dipahami sebatas proses pengukuran hasil belajar, melainkan sebagai instrumen komprehensif untuk menilai efektivitas proses pembelajaran, memperbaiki strategi pengajaran, meningkatkan kompetensi pendidik, serta mengoptimalkan capaian belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hakikat evaluasi pendidikan dalam konteks pendidikan modern, mengkaji mekanisme evaluasi dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, mengidentifikasi dampak evaluasi terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik, serta menguraikan tantangan dan solusi implementasi evaluasi pendidikan di lapangan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) melalui penelaahan berbagai artikel ilmiah nasional dan internasional. Analisis dilakukan melalui tahapan identifikasi literatur, seleksi berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, evaluasi kualitas artikel, sintesis temuan, serta analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi pendidikan telah berkembang dari pendekatan yang berorientasi pada pengukuran menuju evaluasi autentik yang mendukung peningkatan mutu pembelajaran. Implementasi evaluasi yang efektif mampu memperbaiki strategi pembelajaran melalui asesmen formatif, pemberian umpan balik, dan refleksi pembelajaran sehingga berdampak positif terhadap motivasi belajar, keterlibatan peserta didik, kompetensi guru, serta peningkatan hasil belajar. Di sisi lain, implementasi evaluasi masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti keterbatasan kompetensi pendidik, budaya asesmen yang berorientasi pada nilai akhir, serta keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana. Tantangan tersebut dapat diatasi melalui peningkatan kompetensi profesional guru, pemanfaatan teknologi digital, serta penguatan kebijakan evaluasi di tingkat satuan pendidikan. Dengan demikian, evaluasi pendidikan merupakan instrumen strategis dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan hasil belajar peserta didik apabila dirancang dan dilaksanakan secara sistematis, objektif, autentik, dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the Raudlatul Huffadz Islamic Boarding School in Bali in instilling the values ​​of religious moderation in students through a library study approach. The study used a library research method with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained from various sources, such as books, scientific articles, previous research results, and relevant documents, then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that the Raudlatul Huffadz Islamic Boarding School in Bali has a significant role in shaping the moderate attitudes of students through religious learning, the example of kiai and ustaz, the habit of living together, strengthening national values, and the application of a culture of tolerance in everyday life. The existence of the Islamic boarding school in the midst of Balinese society, which is predominantly Hindu, also serves as a means for students to learn to live side by side, respect differences, and build harmonious social relationships without reducing their commitment to Islamic teachings. The instillation of religious moderation is supported by a conducive Islamic boarding school environment, a culture of deliberation and mutual cooperation, the competence of educators, and cooperation between the Islamic boarding school, family, community, and government. On the other hand, this process still faces various challenges, such as increasing intolerance, the spread of radicalism through digital media, low digital literacy, and the suboptimal integration of religious moderation values ​​in several educational institutions. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the Raudlatul Huffadz Islamic Boarding School in Bali plays a crucial role in developing the character of religious, tolerant students who are able to live harmoniously in a pluralistic society. Therefore, strengthening religious moderation needs to be carried out continuously through synergy between various parties to create a peaceful, harmonious life and mutual respect for diversity.
