Abstract

The productivity of red chili in the Central Bangka Regency is still below its genetic potential, where the genetic potential of curly red chili per hectare is 200-220 quintals. This condition raises the assumption that the production of red chili in the Central Bangka Regency is not optimal. The purpose of farmers doing red chili production activities is to make a profit. Still, if the production of red chili is not optimal, it will affect the actual profits obtained by farmers. Therefore, it is important to research the optimization of red chili production in the Central Bangka Regency. This study aimed to analyze the effect of red chili production on the total cost of red chili farming and the optimal amount of red chili production by farmers in the Central Bangka Regency. The research method used is the survey method. The sampling method is simple random sampling with a sample of 34 people. The data analysis method used in this study uses inferential statistical methods. The formulation and objectives of the first research will be answered using the total cost function in cubic form. Furthermore, to answer the formulation and objectives of the second study, an analysis will be carried out using the abc formula (quadratic formula). The analysis results show that the amount of red chili production significantly affects production costs in red chili farming in Central Bangka Regency. Still, the amount of red chili production in Bangka Regency Middle is not optimal. So that farmers can achieve the optimal amount of red chili production, farmers should be able to use production inputs efficiently in their farming.

Abstract

Inadequate capital strength, limited marketing reach and lack of access to innovation in plantation technology owned by the community have resulted in less than optimal plantation production. The government then collaborates with large plantation companies, both private and state-owned companies to assist and guide smallholder plantations in a mutually beneficial, whole and sustainable cooperation system through a partnership relationship, one of which is the oil palm plantation revitalization program. Plantation revitalization is an effort to accelerate the development of smallholder plantations through expansion, rejuvenation and rehabilitation of plantation crops supported by investment credit from banks and interest subsidies by the government by involving companies in the plantation business sector as partners in plantation development, processing and marketing of products. This study aims to: (1) Describe the socio-economic impacts received by farmers in the revitalization program before and after the program runs (2) Counting the income contribution from oil palm farming by following a revitalization program to the total income of a farmer family in Dalil Village, Bakam District, Bangka Regency. The research method used is survey methods. The analysis tools used is a descriptive qualitative and microsoft excel. The results showing that of the 6 aspects there were 5 aspects that experienced changes in the socio-economic impact of the oil palm revitalization program. The contribution of revitalization farm to the total family income of 35.44%, this shows less than half of family income is obtained from the revitalization farm.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the production risks faced by white pepper farmers in Air Gegas District, South Bangka Regency. The research was conducted using a survey method involving 50 farmers selected through purposive sampling. The analysis included descriptive analysis to identify sources of risk and quantitative analysis using the coefficient of variation to measure the level of risk. The results showed that production risks in white pepper farming stem from natural factors such as extreme weather, as well as technical factors such as pest and disease attacks, improper fertilization, the use of non-superior seeds, inappropriate pesticides, and weak support stakes (tajar). The level of production risk is classified as high, with a coefficient of variation of 0.73. These findings indicate the need to improve farmers' capacity in risk management, along with institutional support and agricultural extension services, to ensure the sustainability of white pepper production. This study is expected to serve as a reference in formulating local-level risk management strategies for white pepper farming. Keywords: Farming, Production Risk, White Pepper. Abstract

Rias Village possesses substantial potential in agriculture, fisheries, and biodiversity; however, its development governance faces challenges in evidence-based planning and community engagement. This study aimed to strengthen collaboration between higher education institutions and the village government through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and the formulation of a data-driven policy brief. The Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method was employed to capture community aspirations and identify priority development issues. Findings indicate enhanced institutional capacity, the development of strategic policy recommendations on human resource development, data management, and local economic potential. The results underscore the effectiveness of the Triple Helix approach—integrating academia, government, and community—in promoting sustainable development governance at the village level.
