Abstract

The research was conducted at Agriculture Researh Farm, Faculty ofAgriculture, Jambi University. The aim of this research were todetermine the effect of the combination of different material and dosesof organic liquid fertilizers on growth and yield of celery (Apiumgraveolens, L.). This research was designed using completelyrandomized block design (CRBD) with 7 treatments and 3 replications.The treatments were without organic fertilizers (P0d0), Bahan dasarlamtoro (Leucaena leococepahla) dengan dosis 15 ml/tanaman/4 hari(p1d1), Bahan dasar lamtoro (Leucaena leococepahla) dengan dosis 20ml/tanaman/4 hari (p1d2), Bahan dasar lamtoro (Leucaena leococepahla)dengan dosis 25 ml/tanaman/4 hari (p1d3), Bahan dasar kirinyuh(Cromolaena odorata) dengan dosis 15 ml/tanaman/4 hari (p2d1), Bahandasar kirinyuh (Cromolaena odorata) dengan dosis 20 ml/tanaman/4hari (p2d2), Bahan dasar kirinyuh (Cromolaena odorata) dengan dosis 25ml/tanaman/4 hari (p2d3), kontrol Pupuk NPK (16-16-16) dengan dosis6,25 g/tanaman.Keywords: celery, doses, liquid organic fertilizer, kirinyuh, lamtoro

Abstract

The aim of this study was to obtain the best combination of 2,4-D and BAP in inducing callus from leaf explants durian cv. Selat Jambi. Experiment was arranged in completely randomized design with a growth regulators combination of treatment 2,4-D (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 ppm) and BAP (0,0 ; 0.5 ppm). Each treatment consisted of 10 bottles each culture bottle were planted on explant culture. Explants were cultured on induction medium for 2 month. The parameter time of calli initiation were observed every day. Meanwhile the percentage of explant forming callus, callus structure and color of callus was observed at the end of the study. The results showed that, granting some combination of growth regulators 2,4-D and BAP are given to the culture medium was able to stimulate the formation of callus on leaf explants young durian CV. Selat Jambi. Time of the fastest callus initiation (8 days after cultur) was obtained on medium 4 ppm 2,4-D + 0.5 ppm BAP. In contrast, the highest percentage of explants forming callus was obtained on treatment of 5 ppm 2,4-D (30%).Key words: Exsplants, Durio zibethinus, callus, BAP, 2,4-D

Abstract

The objective pf this research was to determine the phenology of vegetative and generative growth of duku plant variety kumpeh at different ages. The treatment was design in randomized block design (RBD) with duku plant age duku as a treatment. The treatments tested were analysis : LA=Age plants less than 25 years; plants LB=Age 25-50 years, and LC=Age 50 years and older plants. On the obtained results, that theair temperature has a positive correlation to the length of shoots, shoots diameter and number of leaves at different plant age duku. Poster for the end of all plant life duku happened in September but there is a difference between the starting time and peak Poster. Flowering in plants duku occurredin the village of Karang Cityin early Octoberis the end of the dry season or the beginning of the rainy season. Duku fruit that reaches fruit set can beharvestedat 125 days after anthesis. Duku plants aged >50 produce fruit that tastes sweeter, with asugarcontent of 18.93% and 0.36% acid levels. Abstract

This research was aimed to indentify the effect of varies type and concentration of plant growth regulators for induce callus embryo somatic regeneration from Tengkawang plantlets. The type of plant growth regulators are GA3 and BAP and the concentration of GA3 are 0.1, 0.5 and 1.0 ppm and BAP are 1.0, 3.0, 5.0 ppm. The result of this experiment showed all treatment could induced the regeneration of callus somatic embryos to form a new root organs but failure to induced shoot formation. The highest percentage of root formation was achieved at plant growth regulator BAP 3.0 ppm. Culture which failure to regenerate the new organ, still induced callus with compact structure and at GA3 treatment the colour. Was dominan with sulfur colour dan brown at BAP treatment..Key word: Tengkawang , growth regulator,regenaration

Abstract

This experiment aims to determine the effect of different fertilizers formula on  chinesse kale (Brassica oleracea). This research was conducted at the experimental farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi. This research was carried out for 3 months. This study was conducted using  Randomized Complete Block design with one factor of fertilizers formula. The treatments  consist 6 treatment :  Formula 1 = Chemical fertilizers (Urea: 200 kg / ha, Sp-36: 150 kg / ha and KCl: 150 kg / ha), Formula II = solid chicken manure  1.6 kg / plot, Formula III = solid chiken manure  3.2 kg / plot, Formula IV = Liquid fertilizer feremented from chicken manure 25 ml / plant, Formula V = Liquid fertilizer fermented from chicken manure 50 ml / plant, Formula IV = Liquid fertilizerfermented from chicken manure 75 ml/ plant. Each treatment was repeated four times. The results showed the formula II, solid  chicken manure at dose 1.6 kg / plot achivied  the highest chinese kale yield.
