Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of pegawai syara’ (religious civil servants) in increasing the motivation of fishermen communities to perform congregational prayers at Jami’ Mosque, Jampue, Lanrisang District, Pinrang Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that pegawai syara’ play a key role as mediators, facilitators, and religious advisors in guiding the community. They provide religious education through sermons and counseling, in collaboration with mosque leaders and local community figures. Their efforts include addressing issues such as limited understanding of prayer, muamalah, and zakat, by referring to the Qur’an and Hadith. Various methods are used to engage and motivate the fishermen to attend congregational prayers regularly. Overall, the religious guidance provided has had a positive impact on the spiritual life of the community.

Abstract

This study addresses three main problems in learning Hijaiyah letters at TK/TPA Hidayatullah Sekkang Ruba, Pinrang. First, many children cannot recognize or distinguish Hijaiyah letters, such as tsa and ba. Second, children struggle to pronounce and name the letters correctly. Third, the teacher mainly uses oral methods without teaching aids, making the learning process less interesting and causing children to lose focus easily. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the Iqra method can help improve children's ability to read the Qur’an. This research used a qualitative classroom action approach with four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The study was done in two cycles, each consisting of three sessions. The participants were one teacher and 22 students (10 boys and 12 girls) from group B1. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed qualitatively. The results from both cycles showed that using the Iqra method effectively improved the children’s ability to read the Qur’an.

Abstract

This thesis discusses the application of the Islamic story method in cultivating the religious spirit of children at Raudhatul Athfal (RA) Nurul Iman Barubaru, Cempa District, Pinrang Regency. The study aims to explore how the method is implemented and whether it effectively instills religious values in children. Conducted as Classroom Action Research, the study involved 23 children (10 boys and 13 girls) and was carried out in two cycles using observation sheets, interviews, and documentation as research instruments. The Islamic story method was applied through both indoor and outdoor classical learning activities. Influential factors included teachers, students, facilities, and the learning environment. The findings show a significant improvement in the children's religious development, with results increasing from 48% (categorized as "starting to develop") in the first cycle to 88% (categorized as "very well developed") in the second cycle. Thus, it can be concluded that the Islamic story method is effective in fostering the religious character of children at RA Nurul Iman Barubaru.

Abstract

Islam is a religion that prioritizes the well-being of its followers in all aspects of life, including the practice of congregational prayer. This study aims to examine the role of teachers in fostering the habit of praying in congregation and the outcomes of such habituation at MTs DDI Pacongan. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews and observations, then analyzed by reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions from the data. The findings indicate that teachers and supervisors play an active role in guiding and monitoring students to consistently perform congregational prayers at school. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers remain actively involved in encouraging, supervising, and participating in congregational prayers with the students.
