Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui status kebugaran jasmani siswa putri kelas VIII SMP N 3 Depok Yogyakarta tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif menggunakan desain cross sectional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa putri kelas VIII SMP N 3 Depok Yogyakarta tahun ajaran 2015/2016 sejumlah 68 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan accidental sampling. Total sampel sebanyak 63 siswa putri. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Tes Kesegaran Jasmani Indonesia (TKJI) umur 13-15 tahun untuk putri (validitas= 0.923, reliabilitas= 0.804). Analisis data menggunakan software Microsoft Excel 2010 dan IBM SPSS 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa status kebugaran jasmani siswa yaitu: 1 siswa (1,58%)  kategori baik sekali, 2 siswa (3,19%) baik, 27 siswa (42,86%) sedang, 32 siswa (50,76%) kurang dan 1 siswa (1,58%) kurang sekali. Hasil tersebut mengindikasikan perlunya rancangan program aktivitas jasmani khusus dan rekayasa pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani guna meningkatkan status kebugaran jasmani siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kekuatan otot lengan, otot perut, dan otot tungkai dengan keterampilan jump shot peserta ekatrakurikuler basket SMA Negeri 2 Klaten. Penelitian menggunakan desain korelasional, dengan populasi peserta ekstrakurikuler bolabasket putra SMA N 2 Klaten sebanyak 25 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling. Sejumlah 20 siswa memenuhi syarat untuk menjadi sampel penelitian. Instrumen yang digunakan tes pull up, tes sit up, tes kekuatan otot tungkai, dan tes jump shot. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi dengan software SPSS 21. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kekuatan otot lengan dengan keterampilan jump shot (rx1.y = 0,736 > r tabel = 0,4438), kekuatan otot perut dengan keterampilan jump shot (rx2.y = 0,784 > r tabel = 0,4438), dan kekuatan otot tungkai dengan keterampilan jump shot ( rx3.y = 0,833 > r tabel = 0,4438). Hasil analisa korelasi ganda diperoleh (F hitung = 34,705, F tabel = 3,29), bermakna terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kekuatan otot lengan, kekuatan otot perut dan kekuatan otot tungkai dengan keterampilan jump shot peserta ekstrakurikuler bolabasket SMA N 2 Klaten.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menginvestigasi kontribusi penggunaan jurnal belajar terhadap proses pembelajaran matakuliah Permainan Bolabasket. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dan dilakukan dengan mengaplikasikan jurnal belajar tiap akhir sesi perkuliahan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Prodi PJKR FIK UNY kelas C yang mengambil matakuliah Permainan Bolabasket pada tahun ajaran 2014/2015 sejumlah 46 mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah daftar pertanyaan jurnal dan kuesioner pengalaman menulis jurnal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek penelitian mengakui pengaruh positif dari penggunaan jurnal belajar (100%). Sejumlah 95,65% partisipan memiliki pendapat dan perasaan positif terhadap kegiatan menulis jurnal belajar. Selain itu, partisipan menyatakan bahwa kegiatan menulis jurnal memfasilitasi mahasiswa dalam melakukan refleksi diri, mengingat materi, menyadari peningkatan kemampuan, meningkatkan kemampuan untuk memahami materi, memotivasi peningkatan diri, dan meningkatkan pengetahuan. Kesimpulan: penggunaan jurnal belajar memberi nilai dan makna positif terhadap proses pembelajaran. Namun, diperlukan strategi khusus untuk mengimplementasikan jurnal belajar supaya dapat memberi manfaat nyata bagi guru dan siswa. Kata kunci: jurnal belajar, pembelajaran, mahasiswa THE CONTRIBUTION OF THE STUDENT’S JOURNAL TOWARD THE INSTRUCTIONAL PROCESS OF BASKETBALL GAMES COURSE  Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate the contribution of the student’s journal toward the instructional process of Basketball Games Course. This research was a descriptive research and conducted by applied the student’s journal after the learning process. The population of the research was the students of Class C Prodi PJKR FIK UNY which took part on the Basketball Games course on year 2014/2015. There were 46 students participated on this study. The research instruments on this study were the questions list of student’s journal and questionnaire of writing journal experience. The result revealed that the participants recognized the positive influence of the using of the student’s journal (100%). There wete 95.65% participants who have a positive opinion and feeling toward the journal writing. In addition, participants stated that the student’s journal facilitates to perform self reflection, memorize the material, realize the ability improvement, elevate the ability to understand the material, motivate for self improvement, and increase the knowledge. Our discussions conclude that the student’s journal writing has a positive and meaningful value toward the learning process. However, it needs a specific strategy to implement the journal so that it can give a real benefit for teachers and students. Keywords: student’s journal, instructional, college students

Abstract

AbstractMotor skill is a crucial element to be concerned since early childhood because it supports the children to pass throughtheir development tasks and helps the children in doing their daily activity. Children who have a high-level of motorskills tend to be more confidence and have more self-esteem when engaging with their friends. In contrast, childrenwho have a low-level of motor skills tend to have less confidence and self-esteem. This group of children could beexcluded when playing sport games because their friends assume that their involvement could disadvantage theteam. This situation could produce psychological effects to the children. Therefore, children should get supportsto develop their motor skills by doing many kinds of physical activities and sports. In addition, we need to considerabout the appropriate amounts and methods when giving children forms of physical activity. This article will describeabout proper physical activity guidelines for children, along with its benefit and type. This article also describes howto set the intensity for children in doing physical activity and how to promote physical activity for children, especiallyin the school setting. The objective is to provide knowledge to the community about the appropriate method of givingphysical activity for the children. Anak yang memiliki level tinggi keterampilan motorik cenderung lebih percaya diri dan memiliki harga dirilebih tinggi ketika bergaul dengan teman sebayanya. Secara kontras, anak yang memiliki level rendah keterampilanmotorik cenderung memiliki rasa percaya diri dan harga diri yang rendah. Kelompok anak berketerampilan motorikrendah ini dapat dihindari menjadi teman satu tim ketika bermain karena diasumsikan bahwa keterlibatan merekadalam permainan akan merugikan tim. Situasi ini dapat menimbulkan efek psikologis buruk bagi anak. Oleh karena itu,anak harus mendapat dukungan dalam mengembangkan keterampilan motoriknya dengan melakukan berbagai jenisaktivitas jasmani dan olahraga. Hal yang harus diperhatikan adalah dosis dan metode yang tepat dalam memberikananak bentuk-bentuk aktivitas jasmani. Artikel ini akan mendeskripsikan panduan aktivitas jasmani untuk anak, besertadengan keuntungan dan tipe-tipenya. Selain itu juga memberikan informasi mengenai cara menentukan intensitasanak dalam beraktivitas jasmani dan bagaimana cara mempromosikan aktivitas jasmani bagi anak, terutama dalamsetting sekolah. Tujuannya yaitu untuk menyediakan pengetahuan bagi masyarakat mengenai cara yang tepat dalammemberikan aktivitas jasmani untuk anak. Abstract

This community service effort aimed to organize a workshop for administrators, Physical Education instructors, and class teachers at Muhammadiyah elementary schools in Yogyakarta. The goal was to raise participants' awareness and insight about the pressing issue of children's lack of physical exercise and their excessive use of screen-based devices, which must be addressed. The community service took the form of a workshop, and it was organized in partnership with the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership's Sports Development Institute (LPO), the Muhammadiyah Elementary and Secondary Education Council, and the Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Regional Management. The activity was funded by the 2024 Batch VII Research Grant and the LPO PP Muhammadiyah. The workshop was held on July 10, 2024, at the Amphitheater A Building, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan. The registered participants included 22 principals, 22 elementary school classroom teachers, and 33 physical education, sports, and health teachers. The study revealed a substantial increase in participants' understanding of the current WHO 2020 guidelines for physical activity and sedentary behavior (p < 0.05). This initiative resulted in workshop modules, articles in online and social media, as well as community service journals.

Abstract

Existing study examining the validity and reliability of the Physical Activity Questionnaire for adolescents (PAQ-A) in Indonesian youth did not explain whether it conducted cross-cultural adaptation to the questionnaire or not, and the authors did not publish the Indonesian version of the questionnaire. None of the previous studies investigated the validity and reliability of the Indonesian version of PAQ-C. This study aimed to conduct a cross-cultural adaptation of PAQ-A and PAQ-C into the Indonesian language (Bahasa Indonesia) and to check its validity and reliability. This research employed a cross-sectional design. Two groups were recruited: grade 5 students (n=58, 10-12 years old) and grade 7 students (n=61, 13-15 years old). The concurrent validity was verified against the Indonesia Physical Fitness Test (IPFT). We also investigated the item validity and inter-item correlations. The reliability was tested by using the Cronbach Alpha technique. Results showed that the concurrent validity of the Indonesian version of PAQ-A and PAQ-C against IPFT are low (rho= 0.224 and rho= 0.165, consecutively) (p>0.05). The item validity of the Indonesian version of PAQ-A ranged between 0.338 and 0.737; while for PAQ-C ranged between 0.329 – 0.818. Inter-item correlation for PAQ-A and PAQ-C ranged from -0.019 to 0.569 and 0.000 to 0.704, respectively. The reliability of the Indonesian version of PAQ-A and PAQ-C is acceptable (α = 0.740 and α = 0.705 – 0.712, consecutively). In conclusion, we found that the item validity of PAQ-A and PAQ-C were at a moderate level. The validity of the PAQ-A and PAQ-C were lower when they were checked against a physical fitness test, comparable to previous studies with device-based measurements. The Indonesian version of PAQ-A and PAQ-C have a moderate level of reliability. Our results suggest that the use of the questionnaires will be better complemented by other device-based measurements, such as accelerometers or pedometers.

Abstract

Lesson plan is the main key in learning. This study aims to analyze the lesson plans of High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) oriented big ball games subject in physical education learning. This is descriptive quantitative research, with document analysis method. 16 lesson plans arranged by 16 teachers from 16 schools in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta involved in this study. This study analyzes big ball game lesson plans including eight indicators: formulation of indicators, learning objectives, learning methods, learning media, learning materials, learning resources, learning activities, and learning assessments using document analysis guidelines with descriptors ranging from 1-5 scales (very good, good, acceptable, poor, very poor). The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive analysis and is presented in percentage. The results showed that the analysis of HOTS-oriented big ball game lesson plans as a whole was included in the sufficient category with a range of eight indicators 29-84. The learning resource component is the component of the lesson plan that has the lowest average of 1.94. The learning activity component is the lesson plan component that has the highest mean of 19.12. It can be concluded that learning resources need the main attention to be improved in order to realize HOTS learning. Therefore, future research should consider the type of game, level of education, region or area, and health conditions due to post-pandemic situations.
