Abstract

Title: Use of the Contingent Valuation Method and Replacement Cost Method for Valuing Tuna Loin Waste ( Thunnus.sp.)Loin is a whole piece of meat from a fish with the best meat quality.. Economic potential of loin waste in the form of trimmings indicates an urgent need for the economic valuation of this waste through willingness-to-pay assessments. Understanding the potential for optimizing the use of this waste through product diversification is crucial to maximize its economic value. This research aims to calculate the economic valuation of tuna fish loin waste ( Thunnus sp.) and explain product diversification from loin waste and analyze the factors that influence willingness to pay. The method used in this research is the consumer Willingness to pay survey method which is part of the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) and Replacement Cost Method (RCM) techniques. The research respondents were 27 tuna loin consumers and 1 informant regarding the value of waste disposal services. The research results revealed that the direct benefit value of tuna loin production waste was IDR31,259.00 per kilogram through the contingent valuation method, while the indirect benefit value is around IDR320.00 per kilogram via replacement cost method, so the total economic value for tuna loin waste is IDR31,569.00/kg. Analysis of willingness to pay includes independent variables such as age, education, occupation, gender, and income, while the dependent variable is the value of willingness to pay. Using logistic regression shows that around 56.7 percent of the value of willingness to pay is influenced by the independent variable Utilizing tuna loin waste can be used to make various processed products that can be produced by households so that it adds more value than waste.

Abstract

The income of coastal communities as fishermen is relatively low because the economic activity of the fishing gear used is not yet optimal. This study aims to analyze the economic value and productivity of fishing gear that provides optimal income. The research was conducted in two coastal districts of Bone Bay, namely Tellu Siattinge and Kajuara. The location was determined purposively with the consideration that the Tellu Siattinge area is in the north while the Kajuara area is in the south. This type of survey research uses qualitative and quantitative analysis methods. The research results stated the fishing gear with the highest economic value was the purse seine type in the Kajuara District and the bagan cungkil type in the Tellu Siattinge District. The second result identified that the fishing gear that had the highest productivity was the bagan tancap type in Kajuara and the bagan cungkil type in Tellu Siattinge waters.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much work time the fishing gear craftsmen work in the Tellu Siattinge District and to determine the factors that influence the working time of the trap fishing gear craftsmen in Tellu Siattinge District. This research was conducted from May to June 2021 in Tellu Siattinge District, Bone Regency. The type of research used is a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sampling technique used is proportional sampling. The data analysis of working time is carried out by calculating the amount of time spent by craftsmen and using tabulated primary data, while the factors that affect the work time use multiple linear analysis and statistical tests. From the results of the study, it was found that the working time of frame makers was 0.63 HKP/day, netting craftsmen were 0.25 HKP/day and bottom net makers were 0.34 HKP/day. The factors of wages, age, education and work experience simultaneously have a significant effect on the working time of fishing gear craftsmen in Tellu Siattinge District. Partially, the wage factor and work experience have a significant effect, while the age and education factors have no significant effect on the workload of fishing gear craftsmen in Tellu Siattinge District.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the Murante Fish Auction Place in the trade process of skipjack tuna (K. pelamis), the trading process of skipjack tuna (K. pelamis) at the Murante Fish Auction, and the advantages and disadvantages of trading skipjack tuna (K. pelamis) at the Murante Fish Auction Place. This research was conducted in April 2021 at TPI Murante, Luwu Regency. The type of research used is survey research with a qualitative nature. The population in this study were TPI managers, ship owners, and fish traders using the census method where the sample was taken from the entire population that was used as the research sample. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data then processed using a Likert scale and analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the role of TPI Murante, namely as a place for boats to dock and a place for quality development of fishery products, had a fairly good level of role and as a place for skipjack tuna trading as well as a place for landing fish and loading and unloading catches had a good role. The advantages of trading skipjack tuna at the Murante Fish Auction are that the conditions for participating in the skipjack trade are easy to fulfill, do not delay the execution of skipjack tuna trade, and have trading facilities such as trading buildings, scales, barriers, and clean water. For lack of skipjack trade at the Murante Fish Auction, among others, TPI lost retribution, uncertain trading times, and lack of coolboxes to place fish.

Abstract

The Impact of Brand Image on Visitors' Decisions and Satisfaction at Tourism Destination Lego-Lego Sulawesi Selatan. This study uses quantitative associative methods, namely research that aims to determine the effect or relationship between two or more variables. This research was conducted on January 25 – February 1 at Lego-Lego Sulsel in Makassar City. Sampling, using non-probability sampling method supported by accidental sampling technique. The data sources used are primary and secondary data and then analyzed using Validity, Reliability, and Simple Regression Tests. Based on the Simple Regression Test results, Brand Image (X) has a positive and significant effect on the decision to visit Lego-Lego Tourism Destinations in South Sulawesi. This can be seen from the significance of Brand Image (X) 0.000 < 0.05. And the value of the t table = 1.98552, meaning that the value of tcount = greater than ttable (7.038 > 1.98552) as well as the results of the Partial significance test (T-Test) to prove the impact of the Brand Image variable (X) on visitors' satisfaction (Y2) Brand Image variable (X) has a positive and significant effect on visitors' satisfaction at Lego-Lego South Sulawesi Tourism Destinations.
