Abstract

Bentuk loin merupakan merupakan potongan daging utuh dari sebuah ikan dengan kualitas daging terbaik. Potensi ekonomi dari limbah loin berupa tetelan menunjukkan sebuah urgensi valuasi ekonomi limbah melalui nilai kesediaan membayar sehingga penting untuk memahami potensi optimalisasi penggunaan limbah tersebut melalui diversifikasi produk guna memaksimalkan nilai ekonomi dari limbah tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung valuasi ekonomi limbah loin ikan tuna (Thunnus sp.) dan menjelaskan diversifikasi produk dari limbah loin serta menganalisis faktor faktor yang memengaruhi kesediaan membayar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei Willingness to pay konsumen yang merupakan bagian dari teknik Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) dan Replacement Cost Method (RCM). Responden penelitian berjumlah 27 orang konsumen tetelan merah tuna dan 1 orang informan terkait nilai jasa buang limbah. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa nilai manfaat langsung limbah produksi loin tuna sebesar Rp31.259,00 per kilogram melalui metode kontingen valuasi, sementara nilai manfaat tidak langsungnya adalah sekitar Rp320,00 per kilogram melalui metode biaya pengganti,  Nilai ekonomi total untuk limbah loin tuna sebesar Rp31.569,00/kg. Analisis kesediaan membayar mencakup variabel independen, seperti usia, pendidikan, pekerjaan, jenis kelamin, dan pendapatan, sementara variabel dependen adalah nilai kesediaan membayar dengan menggunakan regresi logistik menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 56,7 persen dari nilai kesediaan membayar dipengaruhi oleh variabel independen. Pemanfaatan limbah loin tuna dapat dijadikan berbagai produk olahan yang dapat diproduksi oleh rumah tangga sehingga menjadi nilai tambah lebih dari sebuah limbah.Title: Use of the Contingent Valuation Method and Replacement Cost Method for Valuing Tuna Loin Waste ( Thunnus.sp.)Loin is a whole piece of meat from a fish with the best meat quality.. Economic potential of loin waste in the form of trimmings indicates an urgent need for the economic valuation of this waste through willingness-to-pay assessments. Understanding the potential for optimizing the use of this waste through product diversification is crucial to maximize its economic value. This research aims to calculate the economic valuation of tuna fish loin waste ( Thunnus sp.) and explain product diversification from loin waste and analyze the factors that influence willingness to pay. The method used in this research is the consumer Willingness to pay survey method which is part of the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) and Replacement Cost Method (RCM) techniques. The research respondents were 27 tuna loin consumers and 1 informant regarding the value of waste disposal services. The research results revealed that the direct benefit value of tuna loin production waste was IDR31,259.00 per kilogram through the contingent valuation method, while the indirect benefit value is around IDR320.00 per kilogram via replacement cost method, so the total economic value for tuna loin waste is IDR31,569.00/kg. Analysis of willingness to pay includes independent variables such as age, education, occupation, gender, and income, while the dependent variable is the value of willingness to pay. Using logistic regression shows that around 56.7 percent of the value of willingness to pay is influenced by the independent variable Utilizing tuna loin waste can be used to make various processed products that can be produced by households so that it adds more value than waste.

Abstract

The income of coastal communities as fishermen is relatively low because the economic activity of the fishing gear used is not yet optimal. This study aims to analyze the economic value and productivity of fishing gear that provides optimal income. The research was conducted in two coastal districts of Bone Bay, namely Tellu Siattinge and Kajuara. The location was determined purposively with the consideration that the Tellu Siattinge area is in the north while the Kajuara area is in the south. This type of survey research uses qualitative and quantitative analysis methods. The research results stated the fishing gear with the highest economic value was the purse seine type in the Kajuara District and the bagan cungkil type in the Tellu Siattinge District. The second result identified that the fishing gear that had the highest productivity was the bagan tancap type in Kajuara and the bagan cungkil type in Tellu Siattinge waters.

Abstract

This study aims to determine changes in social conditions which include group dynamics and social concerns as well as to find out changes in economic conditions including marketing of fishery products, number of buyers, and income of fresh fish traders at TPI Rajawali during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research was conducted from September 2020 to October 2020, at Fresh Fish Traders in TPI Rajawali During the Covid-19 Pandemic in the City of Makassar, South Sulawesi. The sampling method was purposive sampling by selecting fresh fish traders who carried out trading activities before the Covid-19 pandemic struck and after the Covid-19 pandemic took place with a total sample size of 35 fresh fish traders. Sources of data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Social conditions were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysts, while for economic conditions the marketing channels were analyzed using qualitative descriptive, marketing margins, total buyers were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and income was analyzed by income analysis. The results of research on social conditions that include social interactions, social adaptation and social group dynamics during the COVID-19 pandemic have each changed. For the marketing channels at TPI Rajawali, four marketing channels were obtained and for the Marketing Margin, the average fish trader at TPI Rajawali experienced a decline due to reduced purchasing power. The results of research on the income of fresh fish traders at TPI Rajawali also decreased during the COVID-19 pandemic from Rp. 9,635,540.63 with a percentage of 56.12% decreased by Rp. 7,532,814.88 with a percentage of 43.88%.

Abstract

Coastal communities have different characteristics from other communities so that they must have different strategies to meet their needs. With the development of technology and the demands of the family economy, women have also contributed to the household economy such as coastal women in Tadang Palie Village. In increasing household income, coastal women in Tadang Palie Village run a business as an effort to help the family economy which aims to fulfill the family's economic needs and develop their potential. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of coastal women's businesses, the income earned by coastal women who have businesses, and the contribution of coastal women's businesses to household income in Tadang Palie Village, Cempa District, Pinrang Regency. As for the determination of respondents using cluster sampling technique which is distinguished by type of business as many as 37 people. The data analysis uses the household income formula and the income contribution of coastal women. Data collection techniques are observation, distribution of questionnaires and interviews. This research was conducted in Tadang Palie Village, Cempa District, Pinrang Regency in January - February 2021. From the results of the study found several types of coastal women's businesses, namely mixed trading businesses, businesses selling dried fish, cake selling businesses, culinary tourism businesses, sewing businesses, a business selling contemporary drinks, and a business selling clothes. Of all the types of coastal women's businesses in Tadang Palie Village, the culinary tourism business has the largest contribution, and the business of selling dried fish has the smallest contribution to household income.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the characteristics of the education level of fishermen in Burau Pantai Village, Burau District, East Luwu Regency and to find out fishermen's perceptions of formal education and to find out what fishermen do in continuing their children's formal education. This research was carried out in November 2020 - December 2020 in Burau Pantai Village, Burau District, East Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi. The sampling method used was Non Probability sampling. The data sources used were primary data and secondary data. The data analysis used percentage analysis. Education, Likersts scale and qualitative data analysis. Educational characteristics of fishermen in Burau Pantai Village as many as 87 people did not take formal education This is influenced by many factors, especially fishermen's socio-economic factors. Public perception of children's formal education where fishermen choose that education will determine profession and work In the future, fishermen choose that education will make someone knowledgeable, fishermen's assumptions about the cost of education can be cultivated, there are no fishermen who say that education is cheap, fishermen say that education can change the status and position of fishermen social. Various efforts have been made by fishermen in meeting the educational needs of their children, namely the double income pattern.

Abstract

This study aims to determine Fishermen's perceptions of cash transfers in Kalumpangloe Village, Arungkeke District, Jeneponto Regency during the pandemic. This research was conducted from February to March 2021 in Kalumpangloe Village, Arungkeke District, Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi. The method that we used is Non-Probability Sampling. The data source that we used are primary data and secondary data. The data analysis method used in this research is quantitative and qualitative. Meanwhile, for quantitative data analysis, the Likerts scale was used to determine the fishermen's perception of cash transfer. Cash transfers implementation mechanism starts from the stage of socialization, data verification, information, disbursement and evaluation. Perceptions of fishermen in Kalumpang Loe Village, Jeneponto Regency, obtained through 4 indicators, it's known that the village community considers that cash transfers is very useful as assistance to provides their necessities, but they didn't use to provides business fund. The process of sending cash transfers was not filled the promised time and the target, and also the target of cash transfers recipients that is set by the government already reaches it's target. The allocation of cash transfers by the people of Kalumpangloe Village is as much as 55% for food needs, 8% for clothing needs, 4% for housing needs, 14% used as bussines fund, 17% used for children's education costs, and 2% for other allocations. Where the amount of cash transfers funds is IDR 300,000/month.

Abstract

In general, coastal communities in Tanete Riattang Timur Subdistrict in fulfilling their daily needs work in the marine and fisheries sector. The most widely used fishing gear is the Purse Seine and has constraints both in terms of finance, technology and business competition, the purse seine fishing community still maintains patterns of the economic system in fishing activities as a reference material in living their daily lives so that the purse fishing business The seine needs to be calculated for its financial feasibility to determine its sustainability in the future. In general, this study aims to determine the level of income from production activities and the level of business feasibility of purse seine fishermen to be developed in Tanete Riattang Timur District. This research was conducted from April to May 2021. In this study, the method used is descriptive quantitative with data analysis using income analysis = TR – TC and Business Feasibility Analysis with the formula Net B/C ratio = NVP(+)/NVP( -). The purse seine business unit has a Net B/C value greater than 1 (3.90 > 1) which is obtained from the Nvp (+) value divided by the Nvp (-) value, the purse seine business unit has an Npv value of 4,034,338,574 and the interest rate of return bank (IRR) of 86%. this means that the purse seine fishing business is feasible to carry out and continue.

Abstract

The development of the business world is growing and the type of business is growing because most individuals choose to open their own businesses, especially in the field of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) because they do not require large capital. Benteng Village is one of the areas where there are product processing business activities by utilizing seaweed fishery resources (E.Cattoni/K.Alvareii) as one of the raw materials. Seaweed E. Cattoni is one type of seaweed that can be used in various food and beverage products because it has properties that do not reduce the delicacy of food, in addition, E. cottoni seaweed is known as a source of fiber so that it can be used in making crackers. . Crackers are one of the snacks that are consumed as a snack or as a complementary food to regular meals. The purpose of this study is to determine the cost of goods sold in seaweed cracker business X. To achieve this goal, the survey method is used, where survey research is research that takes samples from a population in the field by conducting direct observations at the research site, through interviews and interviews. observation of respondents and using questionnaires as a data collection tool that had been prepared in advance by the researcher. The results of this study indicate that the calculation of the cost of goods sold in the seaweed cracker business X obtained results of Rp. 10,000/product and the cost of production of Rp. 4,171/product so that the profit per product is Rp. 5,829.

Abstract

Seaweed has become a prima donna commodity for coastal communities, considering its positive contribution to the workforce and increasing income. Types of seaweed that have potential but have not been widely cultivated are Caulerpa sp. with the local names 'lawi-lawi' (Sulawesi) and 'Latoh' (Java). Lawi-lawi is widely known by the coastal community because several types of seaweed are used as daily natural food ingredients in South Sulawesi and are used for medical purposes because they contain antioxidants. Takalar Regency is the center of Lawi-lawi seaweed incubator, where development clusters are spread throughout the sub-district. One of the sub-districts that is the center for the development of Lawi-lawi seaweed is Mangarabombang District. some people in Laikang Village make a living as cultivators of lawi-lawi. Lawi-lawi cultivation activities in this village have been going on since 2011 and continue to grow until now. The purpose of this study was to determine the investment and income of lawi-lawi cultivators. The results showed that the average cost of cultivation of lawi-lawi (Caulerpa Sp) in Laikang Village, Mangarabombang District, Takalar Regency was IDR 8.397.500, the total annual income was IDR 8 .397.500 IDR. 147.600.000, total monthly income of  IDR. 16.132.427.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the Murante Fish Auction Place in the trade process of skipjack tuna (K. pelamis), the trading process of skipjack tuna (K. pelamis) at the Murante Fish Auction, and the advantages and disadvantages of trading skipjack tuna (K. pelamis) at the Murante Fish Auction Place. This research was conducted in April 2021 at TPI Murante, Luwu Regency. The type of research used is survey research with a qualitative nature. The population in this study were TPI managers, ship owners, and fish traders using the census method where the sample was taken from the entire population that was used as the research sample. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data then processed using a Likert scale and analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the role of TPI Murante, namely as a place for boats to dock and a place for quality development of fishery products, had a fairly good level of role and as a place for skipjack tuna trading as well as a place for landing fish and loading and unloading catches had a good role. The advantages of trading skipjack tuna at the Murante Fish Auction are that the conditions for participating in the skipjack trade are easy to fulfill, do not delay the execution of skipjack tuna trade, and have trading facilities such as trading buildings, scales, barriers, and clean water. For lack of skipjack trade at the Murante Fish Auction, among others, TPI lost retribution, uncertain trading times, and lack of coolboxes to place fish.
