Abstract

The problem primarily faced by vocational education institutions is a gap between skills taught at schools and skills required by the industries. This leads to the increasing unemployment rate of Vocational High School graduates. Thus relevant curriculum is required to satisfy the industry demands. This study aimed at analyzing the relevance of the productive course of hair beauty in Vocational High Schools to the job requirements in beauty salons in Padang. This study was qualitative descriptive. The data collection used interviews, observation and documentation. The data collection instruments consisted of observation sheets and interview guidelines. The data were analyzed using the stages of data reduction, presentation and conclusion. The results showed positive relevance of the productive course of hair beauty in Vocational High Schools to the job requirements in beauty salons in Padang. The skills learned in the schools were adequately relevant with the skills required by beauty salons, since from thirteen productive lessons taught in the schools, eleven of them were implemented and used in the workplaces.

Abstract

This research intent describe effort the world perception beauty salon to industrial working practice interest student Sets SMK'S beauty Country 7 Moorlands. This research gets quantitative descriptive character. Total population 46 person and samples as much 30 person with samples taking tech it purposive is sampling one that taken from by pro employee at its area and was working more than 1 year at beauty salon. Data analysis tech utilize percentage formula. Acknowledged observational result perception universalizes beauty salon effort to afektif's interest student industry working practice Sets SMKN'S beauty 7 Moorland lies on pretty good category with percentage 90,1%. Meanwhile effort the world perception beauty salon to psikomotor's interest student industry working practice Sets SMKN'S beauty 7 Moorland lies on good category with percentage 88,8%. Of descriptive analysis result gets to be seen that efforts world perception beauty salon to industrial working practice interest student Set SMKN'S beauty 7 Moorland lies on pretty good category with percentage 89,45%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop teaching materials in the form of e-modules so that student learning outcomes increase in Sanitation Hygiene and K3 courses. The research method used is the fourd-D method. The research was conducted at the Culinary Study Program, Medan State University. The results of the validity test with the media validator obtained a value of 0.79 in the high category, the results of the module content validity test obtained a value of 0.76 in the high category and for the results of the language validity test it obtained a validity value of 0.82 in the very high category. In general, the results of the module validity test are declared valid and can be tested on students as users. Furthermore, the practicality test of the module through the practicality test of student responses obtained a score of 80.68 in the practical category, and the practicality test of the lecturer's response obtained a practicality value of 78.86% in the practical category. If an average score is obtained of 78.30% in the practical category, it means that the developed module is seen from the ease of use, the attractiveness of the presentation and the practical benefits used by students. For the effectiveness test, a gain score of 0.635 is obtained in the moderate category. The conclusion of the test results is the use of the Sanitation Hygiene and K3 module which was developed to be used effectively to support lectures and greatly contribute to the development of scientific knowledge in the culinary field.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dari pengaruh penggunaan bahan pewarna sintesis dalam jangka waktu yang lama dapat mengakibatkan gangguan kesehatan sehingga perlu dicari alternatif yaitu pewarna berbahan alami yang berasal dari tumbuhan. Pewarna alami yang dapat dikembangkan adalah antosianin yang ditemukan pada tanaman daun Miana. Penelitian akan memanfaatkan dan melakukan pembuatan eyeshadow dengan menggunakan bahan alami dari ekstrak daun Miana karna belum pernah diteliti sebelumnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut:  Menganalisis cara pembuatan eyeshadow compact dari ekstrak daun miana (Coleus scutellarioides [L.] Benth) sebagai pewarna alami. Menganalisis kelayakan ekstrak daun Miana sebagai pewarna alami untuk sediaan eyeshadow compact dilihat dari uji Laboratorium, uji Organoleptik, uji Hedonik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah daun Miana yang di jadikan sebagai bahan pewarna alami untuk Eyeshadow Compact. Instrumen penelitian yaitu dengan Uji Laboratorium, Uji Organoleptik, Uji Hedonik. Hasil pengujian laboratorium yaitu positif mengandung zat Antosianin, pengujian pH hasil pH 5,24 dan dinyatakan homogen karna warna eyeshadow tersebar secara merata. Berdasarkan penilaian uji organoleptik tekstur cukup Halus persentase 43%. Uji organoleptik Aroma sangat beraroma Daun Miana persentase 72%. Uji organoleptik Warna bewarna kecoklatan (coklat muda) persentase 58%. Hasil Uji Organoleptik Daya Lekat persentase 72% Cukup Lekat. Uji Hedonik (Kesukaan Panelis) menyatakan menyukai Eyeshadow Ekstrak Daun Miana persentase 72%. Hasil penelitian daun Miana (Coleus scutellariodes [L.]  Benth) sebagai pewarna alami untuk pembuatan eyeshadow di nyatakan Layak dan dapat digunakan.

Abstract

Bisnis jasa rias pengantin dan pelaminan di Kabupaten Tebo mengalami persaingan ketat seiring meningkatnya permintaan, perubahan tren, dan kemajuan teknologi. Sebagian besar usaha belum melakukan inovasi signifikan dan hanya mengikuti tren populer, sementara sebagian kecil telah mencoba inovasi sederhana. Kendala yang dihadapi meliputi kesulitan menciptakan konsep baru, keuntungan yang tidak tercapai, dan daya tarik konsumen yang terbatas. Diperlukan strategi inovatif berbasis kualitas layanan dan kreativitas untuk meningkatkan daya saing, kepuasan pelanggan, dan loyalitas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis minat konsumen, daya saing dan strategi inovatif yang dilakukan oleh pelaku usaha jasa rias pengantin dan pelaminan di Kabupaten Tebo. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi terhadap 7 usaha rias serta 3 konsumen. Teknik pemilihan informan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dianalisis melalui teknik reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini meliputi uji kredibilitas (credibility), uji transferabilitas (transferability), uji dependabilitas (dependability) dan terakhir uji obyektivitas (confirmability). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat konsumen terhadap jasa rias pengantin dan pelaminan di Kabupaten Tebo dipengaruhi oleh kualitas layanan, inovasi, fleksibilitas paket, serta responsivitas terhadap kebutuhan konsumen. Faktor utama yang meningkatkan daya saing adalah penggunaan media sosial untuk promosi, kolaborasi dengan vendor seperti fotografer dan katering, serta penawaran paket kustomisasi. Beberapa usaha telah berhasil menerapkan strategi inovatif, seperti diskon musiman dan layanan uji coba makeup, namun penerapan ini masih bervariasi. Meskipun harga penting, prioritas utama konsumen adalah kualitas riasan dan dekorasi. Kolaborasi yang efektif dan optimalisasi strategi pemasaran di media sosial menjadi kunci untuk meningkatkan daya saing usaha di sektor ini.Secara keseluruhan, usaha jasa rias pengantin dan pelaminan di Kabupaten Tebo telah melakukan strategi inovatif dalam meningkatkan daya saing minat konsumennamun memerlukan peningkatan dalam implementasinya untuk mencapai standar yang lebih optimal.

Abstract

The research background is the rapid development of makeup and beauty industry in the social media era that is highly competitive. The study aims to explore the industry's development and its characters, the specialized entrepreneurial strategies, and the influence of social media on this industry. The methodology employed in this research is a semi-systematic literature review. The analytical approach utilized incorporates a meta-narrative framework, encompassing stages such as identifying, analyzing, and identifying patterns and themes related to the topic. The results describe that the characters of makeup and beauty industry includes highly competitive, ever-changing trends, consumer-centric, seasonal and limited-edition products, diverse product range. Furthermore, the role of social media and specialized entrepreneurial strategies related to the influencer collaborations, community building, personalized beauty, virtual beauty consultations, user-generated content, social commerce, online beauty classes, virtual events and live streams. Finally, the challenges of social media on entrepreneurial strategies associated with the policy and algorithm changes, negative feedback and criticism, data privacy and security.

Abstract

This research revolves around the challenges faced by students in aligning their career orientation with demands and changes, as many traditional jobs are threatened by AI technology. The aim of this study is to identify trends in the transformation of students' career orientation in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI), map the career challenges for students in the AI era, analyze the skills and competencies required, and assess the role of educational institutions in supporting this career transformation. The research method applied in this study is a systematic literature review. The initial stages involve collecting literature sources from scholarly databases and proceeding with a screening process to select literature relevant to the research focus. Finally, in-depth analysis of selected literature is conducted to identify patterns, trends, and key points related to the research topic. The results of the study describe that the development of AI technology has a significant impact on students' career orientation in higher education. Furthermore, students also face career challenges such as competition with technology, uncertainty about future employment, and skills gaps. To address these challenges, students need to develop technical AI skills, ethical AI understanding, problem-solving abilities, and continuous learning skills to succeed in the AI job market. On the other hand, higher education institutions should play a proactive role in addressing these challenges by developing relevant curricula, organizing training sessions, collaborating with industries, and enhancing AI learning facilities. Further research is suggested to focus on the implementation of these strategies in the specific context of higher education institutions and evaluate their impact on student career preparedness in the evolving AI era.
