Abstract

The low level of public interest in murabahah financing at BMT Surya Kencana Balong indicates problems that are not limited to the characteristics of the contract, but also concern financing mechanisms, internal institutional conditions, public understanding, and competition among financing institutions. This study aims to examine the implementation of murabahah financing, identify internal and external factors causing low customer interest, and analyze the strategies employed by BMT Surya Kencana Balong to increase customer interest and the community's response to these strategies. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results show that murabahah financing has benefited customers, particularly in meeting business capital needs, increasing merchandise, supporting operational needs, and developing businesses. However, its implementation still faces obstacles related to administrative requirements, the application process, and collateral provisions. Based on the 7P marketing mix, the most prominent internal factors are price, process, and promotion. A financing margin of 1.2%–1.5% calculated on a flat monthly basis is perceived as burdensome by some micro-entrepreneurs, while procedures and collateral are considered less practical. Externally, limited Islamic financial literacy and competition from formal and informal financial institutions also affect public interest. The BMT's current strategy relies on personal selling and community education. These strategies have helped introduce the product but have not yet resulted in an optimal increase in customer interest. The required mitigation strategies include increasing transparency regarding financing margins and costs, simplifying administrative procedures without eliminating prudential principles, strengthening personal promotion and information media, improving Islamic financial literacy, optimizing service quality, and strengthening the distinctive advantages of murabahah financing, namely Sharia compliance, transparency, and certainty of installment schemes.

Abstract

This study addresses the need for effective instructional strategies that promote active participation and learning independence in Fiqh education. It aims to examine the implementation of Project-Based Learning by Fiqh teachers, its impact on students’ learning independence, and the supporting and inhibiting factors at MTs Negeri 1 Madiun. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design, the study collected data through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving Fiqh teachers, the Vice Principal for Curriculum, and students. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while source and technique triangulation ensured data credibility. The findings indicate that Project-Based Learning creates more effective learning by encouraging students to participate actively in the learning process. This implementation contributes to students’ learning independence, reflected in increased learning activity, understanding, and motivation. Adequate learning facilities, parental support, and the surrounding environment further support implementation, although the study primarily identifies these factors as contextual conditions. The findings reinforce the practical relevance of Project-Based Learning as an instructional model for strengthening students’ learning independence in Fiqh education.

Abstract

Accurate Qur'anic recitation according to tajwid rules remains difficult for many Muslim university students, who enter pesantren programs with markedly uneven reading backgrounds. This study analyzes how the talaqqi method direct teacher student interaction through reading, imitation, memorization, and immediate correction is implemented in Qur'anic instruction, evaluates its effect on students' recitation and memorization competence, and identifies the factors that support and hinder its application at Pesantren Mahasiswa Telaga Ilmu Ponorogo. Employing a descriptive qualitative design, the study gathered data through observation, in depth interviews, and documentation involving caregivers, teachers, and students, analyzed via reduction, display, and conclusion drawing, and validated through source and technique triangulation. Results indicate that talaqqi proceeds through teacher-led recitation immediately imitated by students until correctness is confirmed, reinforced by face-to-face correction, memorization deposits, and periodic review, a cycle that measurably strengthens articulation accuracy, tajwid mastery, and memorization retention; progress is driven chiefly by teacher competence, student motivation, and a supportive pesantren environment, while lecture-schedule time constraints and inconsistent review discipline remain the main obstacles. These findings confirm that structured, correction-based oral transmission is a decisive mechanism for cultivating durable Qur'anic literacy among learners with heterogeneous prior ability.
