Abstract

Indra Dwisaputra, Boy Rolastin, Irwan, Angga Satera, in this paper explain that one commodity that can be used as a superior post-mining area such as Bangka Belitung is shrimp ponds. Touch of technology is needed because of high rainfall in this area so that changes in temperature, humidity, salinity and pH are more dynamic. Then we need a control to determine the water quality in shrimp ponds to avoid crop failure. This research was conducted by means of simulations to make it easier to analyze the results before applying. Fuzzy logic control (FLC) method is used for the water quality decision making system. By utilizing 3 input variables such as temperature, salinity and pH of water and output is an index of water quality from a scale of 0-100. The Mamdani method is applied to FLC with 27 fuzzy rules. The simulation results show that a change in one of the input variables can cause water quality to drop to 70. When there are changes in the two input variables, it can reduce water quality by 25.1. FLC can work well in decision making for water quality in shrimp culture.

Abstract

Glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP)-stainless steel stacks used in the aircraft structural components. The assembly process of this components requires mechanical joining using bolt and nut. The drilling process is commonly used for producing hole to position the bolt correctly. Thrust force and torque are responses that used to evaluate the performance of drilling process. The quality characteristic of these responses are “smaller-is-better.” The aim of this experiment is to identify the combination of process parameters for achieving required multiple performance characteristics in drilling process of GFRP-stainless steel stacks materials. The three important process parameters, i.e., point angle, spindle speed, and feed rate were used as input parameters. Point angle was set at two different levels, whilethe other two were set at three different levels. Hence, a 2 x 3 x 3 full factorial was used as designexperiments. The experiments were replicated two times. The optimization was conducted by using genetic algorithm method. The minimum thrust force and torque could be obtained by using point angle, spindle speed and feed rate of 118o, 2383 rpm, 62 mm/min respectively.

Abstract

The Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) method is one of the methods used for multirespon optimization in the manufacturing process. In this research, the material used is Glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) composite material which is stacked with stainless steel material. The machining process used is a drilling process conducted on a vertical CNC machine Brother TC-22A-O. The thrust force and torque is the response used to evaluate the performance of the drilling process. The quality characteristics of this response "the smaller the better". The aim of this study was to identify the combination of process parameters to achieve the performance characteristics required in drilling process the GFRP-SS material using Particle Swarm Optimization methode (PSO). The three process parameters i.e. point angle, spindle speed, and feeding speed is used as a process parameter. Point angle was set at two different levels, while the other two were set at three different levels. Therefore, the 2 x 3 x 3 factorial is used as the experimental design. The experiments were replicated two times. The minimum thrust force and torque could be obtained by using point angle, spindle speed, and feeding speed are 118o, 2330 rpm, and 65 mm/minrespectively.

Abstract

EDM is one of the nonconventional machining processes when making workpieces with conventional machining processes is difficult. This process has been used effectively in machining hard, high-strength and high temperature materials such as high speed steel (HSS) materials. In this study, prototype of EDM machines was carried out with engine variables such as current (A), pulse on time (µs) and pulse off time (µs). The material used is high speed steel (HSS) material used in cutting tools such as turning tools and milling tools. Surface roughness and material removal rate are responses observed to determine the quality of material remaval. The quality characteristic of the surface roughness response is "smaller is better" and the quality characteristics of the material removal rate response is "larger is better. The purpose of this study is to determine the best process parameter level to achieve the required performance characteristics in the material removal process using prototype EDM machines using the gray relational analysis (GRA) method, three process parameters are selected such as current, pulse on time, and pulse off time. The taguchi 3 x 3 x 3 design is used as an experimental design.The best parameter level obtained is current 40 ampere, pulse on time 200 µs, pulse off time 20 µs.

Abstract

Salah satu kendala yang dialami oleh produsen keripik singkong di kota Sungailiat-Bangka adalah pada proses pengadukan keripik singkong yang masih dilakukan secara manual. Proses pengadukan tersebut membutuhkan tenaga dan waktu cukup lama. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah merancang dan membangun sebuah mesin pengaduk keripik singkong yang diharapkan dapat mempermudah produsen keripik singkong dalam proses pengadukan keripik singkong sehingga dapat meningkatkan produktifitas dalam memproduksi keripik singkong. Telah dirancang dan dibangun sebuah mesin pengaduk keripik singkong, metode yang digunakan dalam perancangan mesin adalah metode perancangan VDI 2222. Mesin pengaduk keripik singkong ini menggunakan motor listrik berdaya 367 watt dengan putaran 1400 RPM. Sistem transmisi menggunakan puli dan belt dengan perbandingan 1:2. Sistem transmisi lainnya menggunakan gearbox dengan perbandingan 1:20 sehingga pada sistem pengaduk menghasilkan putaran 35 RPM. Hasil uji coba mesin mendapatkan waktu rata-rata untuk mengaduk 1 kg keripik singkong adalah 3 menit dan presentase keripik singkong tidak pecah kisaran 67,5%.

Abstract

This research emphasized on failure analysis method that used in the process of analyzing 3 failures such as unbalance, bearing defect, and mechanical looseness based on domain frequency of vibration signal. Diagnosing failures by vibration signal that obtain by specific frequency that is showing the failure or defect followed by analyzing using failure analysis method. The final result that obtained after experiment is failure analysis method can determine one failure mode in each data that has been taken. Unbalance failure that indicated because of the highest peak of amplitude is appear on 1x rpm (31,25 Hz), bearing defect amplitude peak on 1x BSF frequency (49,82 Hz), and mechanical looseness on 0,5x, 1x, 2x, 3x rpm.

Abstract

Bangka Belitung state manufacturing polytechnic is one of the public universities that there are many tooling machines. One of the tooling machines located in the babel polman laboratory is a bemato type 1224BV lathe tooling machine that will be researched with condition based monitoring methods. In this study, the authors have done data on the accuracy of geometry, checking the viscosity of lubricants, checking automatic feeding eaters and checking vibrations on spindles. In each of the studies that have been done on average has experienced irregularities. The results found in this study are deviations in geometric accuracy by 47%, viscosity that has passed ISO VG by 27%, eaters on automatic feeding by 33% and vibrations in spindles by 33%. The conclusion obtained in this study is the annihilation that occurs in lathes whether the deviations that have occurred in the tooling machine are too far from the permissible limit with the aim of establishing the tightening of the maintenance scheduling system on the lathe machine using the condition based monitoring method.

Abstract

High MRR is a target to be achieved in the workpiece process using CNC turning. However, a slow process will affect the processing time of the product, and will increase production costs. To overcome this, it is necessary to set the right process parameters to produce the most influential contribution to the MRR and also to produce the maximum parameter value. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of parameters (cutting speed, spindle speed and depth of cut) on the MRR and to determine the proper setting of process parameters in order to produce the maximum MRR for SKD-11 steel. The experimental design used is the L18 (21 x 37) orthogonal matrix. The repetition was done twice. From the results of the study, the MRR of the workpiece by using a combination variable setting that has the maximum value occurred in the 2nd combination experiment, with a value of 4.648 mm3/minute. With Spindle Rotation set at 210 put/min, feed depth set at 1.5 mm, feed motion set at 0.05 mm/rev.

Abstract

Oil palm is an important industrial oil-producing plant that can reach 24 meters in height. The area of ​​​​oil palm plantations continues to increase in several areas in Indonesia. One of them is in the Bangka Belitung area which continues to increase rapidly every year. The area of ​​​​oil palm plantations in the province of Bangka Belitung continues to increase every year, recorded in 2021 reaching 238.60 thousand hectares, so one of the five oil palm plantations is palm kernels. Oil palm kernels are one of the wastes from oil palm plantations that can be used to make animal feed and have a lot of concentrate. Therefore, in this final project, the Performance Improvement of the Palm Oil Palm Oil Chopping Machine is designed with improvements that occur in the spacer which is easy to disassemble and the thickness of the machine. spacer, hopper formation and thickness cutting edge. This palm loose fruit chopper is capable of chopping up to 90 kg/hour of palm loose fruit with a length of 0.8-3 cm of coir.

Abstract

Lubricants are chemical substances that are generally in liquid form, which are used in frictional components. Its function is to reduce friction, reduce wear, reduce vibration, maintain the age of the tool or component and maintain temperature during operation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a mixture of lubricants on TAN (Total Acid Number) and viscosity, and to determine the effect of time on TAN (Total Acid Number) and viscosity. It was carried out with 5 different concentrations of the mixture, namely 100:0, 80:20, 90:10, 95:5, 0:100 then the concentration of this mixture was tested on the headstock gearbox of a conventional lathe DoALL LT 13 for 21 hours at each concentration, then the test is carried out on the lubricant sample repeated 3 times every 1 hour. The viscosity test on lubricating oil samples was carried out at 40°C and the TAN (Total Acid Number) test was carried out at room temperature. This research was conducted using the ANOVA method and it was concluded that the analysis showed that mixing and time had a significant effect on TAN (Total Acid Number) and viscosity.
