Abstract

Kenaikan kebutuhan energi, seiring dengan pertumbuhan populasi dan peningkatan konsumsi masyarakat, menyoroti kebutuhan mendesak akan solusi energi yang berkelanjutan. Dalam konteks ini, ketergantungan yang berkepanjangan pada bahan bakar fosil menghadirkan tantangan signifikan, dengan cadangan yang semakin menipis dan krisis penyediaan energi listrik yang muncul. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi potensi biogas sebagai alternatif energi terbarukan di Desa Kapedi, Kecamatan Bluto, Kabupaten Sumenep. Melalui analisis terperinci, ditemukan bahwa biogas memiliki potensi besar untuk mengisi kebutuhan energi di desa tersebut. Dengan populasi sapi yang signifikan di Desa Kapedi, kotoran yang dihasilkan dapat diubah menjadi energi listrik dengan memanfaatkan instalasi biogas yang tepat. Temuan ini menyoroti potensi penting dari energi terbarukan dalam mengatasi krisis energi dan memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap keberlanjutan lingkungan dan ekonomi lokal.

Abstract

Penggunaan kincir air dengan motor listrik 1-2 HP dalam tambak udang penting untuk menjaga kandungan oksigen, tetapi mengonsumsi energi tinggi, menyumbang 15% dari biaya operasional. Selain itu, penggunaan motor listrik berkontribusi pada emisi gas rumah kaca. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, desain Aerator paddle wheel dengan Solar Microinverter dapat mengurangi biaya dan dampak lingkungan. Solar Microinverter memungkinkan energi surya dan listrik grid bekerja bersama untuk menyuplai motor listrik, sehingga biaya operasional dapat ditekan dan emisi gas rumah kaca dikurangi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain Aerator paddle wheel dengan Microinverter yang menggunakan energi surya sebagai sumber utama, bersamaan dengan listrik grid. Selain itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengurangi biaya operasional dan meningkatkan profitabilitas tambak udang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga desain: 1) Aerator 2 HP dengan 4 kincir dan Solar Microinverter 2x550Wp menghemat 13,7%; 2) Aerator 1 HP dengan 2 kincir dan Solar Microinverter 1x550Wp menghemat 13,9%; 3) Aerator 0,5 HP dengan 2 kincir dan Solar Microinverter 350Wp menghemat 20,0%. Penghematan dihitung dalam kondisi operasi kontinyu 24 jam selama setahun.

Abstract

Al-Karimiyyah Islamic Boarding School in Sumenep faces problems in water supply. The female students are forced to use brackish well water for drinking because the availability of potable water is limited, while using the services of a gallon water provider is very expensive. The need for drinking water must be met on an ongoing basis given the large number of female students and staff living there. This training activity aims to increase knowledge and understanding of the use of the reverse osmosis method water purifier. As well as improving the quality of water so that it is suitable for drinking.  The reverse osmosis system will treat and filter water to neutralise taste, odour, and harmful substances, so that it becomes ready-to-drink water. The training method was carried out through workshops and training on the use of tools with reverse osmosis systems that use solar power sources for female students in Beraji Village.  This activity was carried out for three days in the hall of Al-Karimiyyah Islamic boarding school, Braji village, Gapura sub-district, Sumenep district, East Java.   The boarding school residents learnt how to install and maintain a filtration device with reverse osmosis technology to provide ready-to-drink water. The device is placed outdoors for easy access by female students. Solar panel technology is used as the main power source so that this tool is independent in terms of electricity and can be placed in any location. This training activity is also an alternative to providing drinking water that is suitable for consumption, so that it can save time and money. In addition, santriwati also get education about the importance of consuming clean water to avoid disease. Santriwati now have sustainable access to clean drinking water. The application of reverse osmosis technology with solar power not only increases the availability of clean water, but also becomes a solution to electricity scarcity.

Abstract

The demand for electrical energy is increasing, along with technological advancements and population growth. Many countries still rely on petroleum, coal, and aerosol gasoline, exacerbating global warming. Electric vehicles offer a promising solution to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and dependence on fossil fuels, although their primary challenge is the availability of charging infrastructure. Solar-powered electric motor charging stations can help reduce electricity demand and global warming. An efficient charging system is needed to analyse the impact of temperature and discharge current on the energy produced to achieve this. Several load tests and temperature measurements over 5 days were conducted to cluster temperatures occurring throughout a full day. The tests using data acquisition showed energy losses caused by the effect of temperature on the charging station's storage battery. Energy efficiency graphs for each test case indicated a varied decrease in energy efficiency, with higher efficiency at lower temperatures and smaller energy losses compared to other temperatures. The load amount also affects the magnitude of energy losses. At a 500W load, the average energy loss was 46Wh, while at a 1000W load, the average energy loss was 52Wh per hour of testing the storage battery discharge. In summary, temperature and load amount can affect energy efficiency and the resulting losses.

Abstract

Utilization of solar energy using solar panels in Indonesia is currently only 0.05% of the existing potential. Where, Indonesia is a country located on the equator, so Indonesia has the potential to get stable solar energy. However, there are several factors that can reduce the optimality of solar panels. The factors that affect the optimal performance of a solar panel are the influence of temperature, the effect of shadows, and the material of the solar cell itself. If the cover glass, which is the outermost layer of the solar panel, is covered by dust or other barrier materials, this will block the entry of the intensity of sunlight and greatly affect the process of the photoelectric effect on the cell panel so that the electrical energy produced is not optimal, this event is called shading affect. In this study, a solar panel cleaning tool was designed based on time scheduling. This tool is used to reduce dust and other obstructions on the surface of solar panels. If there is no dust and dirt around the solar panel, this cleaning tool will clean the solar panel automatically.

Abstract

At this time, one type of alternative energy that is growing rapidly and is widely used by many countries is solar energy which is used as a power plant in the form of solar cells. This technology can convert the intensity of the sun into electrical energy. In its development, a control system is needed to optimize the output power of solar cells, such systems are using solar tracking which can control the position of solar cells so that they are always perpendicular to the direction of the sun automatically and a solar reflector that uses a flat mirror as optics to optimize light intensity. The system used for this arrangement is called a solar tracking and reflector system with Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) control. The results obtained from the tracking system after testing the most optimal power obtained when the solar cell is perpendicular to the sun with ANFIS control which is 12,743 watts and the solar cell with reflector can optimize power twice as much..

Abstract

The decrease in intercooler effectiveness in a ship's main engine can significantly affect performance and fuel efficiency. This final project aims to analyze the impact of the decrease in intercooler effectiveness on combustion air pressure and fuel consumption of the main engine of the Ningbo 8300 MV Semangat Mas. The research was conducted using observation methods and data analysis from measurements obtained during the ship's operation. The collected data includes combustion air pressure, intake air temperature, and fuel consumption under normal engine conditions and conditions with decreased intercooler effectiveness. The results of the study show that the decrease in intercooler effectiveness causes an increase in intake air temperature, which in turn raises combustion air pressure and fuel consumption. This phenomenon indicates that the decrease in intercooler performance can worsen fuel efficiency and reduce overall engine performance. The conclusion of this research highlights the importance of routine intercooler maintenance to ensure the optimal performance of the ship's main engine, reduce fuel consumption, and improve the ship's operational efficiency.
