Abstract

SMK Muhammadiyah Susukan is a vocational high school offering specialized training programs in three key technical disciplines: electronics engineering, automotive mechanics for light vehicles, and computer networking technologies. The results of observations and interviews with the school, it was found that the understanding and application of electrical K3 at SMK Muhammadiyah Susukan is still far from optimal. The importance of K3 in the field of electricity cannot be underestimated. Based on data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and the Ministry of Manpower, incidents related to electricity, including fires and electric shocks, are still one of the main causes of accidents in the workplace and educational institutions. These incidents result in not only financial damages but also create significant safety and health risks for students, educators, and school personnel. Utilizing a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest research design, the training involved an initial pretest, theoretical instruction, and a concluding post-test. By applying the Gain test formula to analyze pre- and post-test results, researchers discovered an average N-Gain of 0.68. According to N-Gain assessment criteria, this value signifies a notable improvement in participants' comprehension following the training. The findings demonstrate that the training activity effectively enhanced the knowledge and skills of educational staff and personnel to a moderate degree.

Abstract

Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) technology present new opportunities in the world of education. One of the latest innovations is ChatGPT, an AI-based model that can act as an interactive learning assistant. This research aims to socialize the potential for using ChatGPT in the learning process at Bina Sriwijaya Vocational School, especially in supporting students and teachers to improve the quality of learning. The methods used in this activity include presentations, demonstrations of the use of ChatGPT in learning, as well as interactive discussion sessions with students and teachers. The main focus of socialization is to explain the functions, advantages and limitations of ChatGPT as a learning aid, especially for technology, language and vocational skills-based subjects. The results of the activity show that students and teachers are enthusiastic about the potential use of ChatGPT, especially to improve understanding of material, provide suggestions on student projects, and help answer questions related to learning. However, there are several challenges, such as varying digital literacy among students and the need for further training for teachers in integrating these technologies effectively. This socialization concluded that ChatGPT has great potential to be applied in the learning process in vocational schools, especially in supporting independent and interactive learning approaches. However, further implementation requires careful planning, intensive training, and ongoing evaluation to ensure its use is optimal and in accordance with vocational education needs.

Abstract

The design and implementation of a death data processing application at the Indralaya Village Office, Ogan Ilir Regency, aims to increase efficiency in managing death data. The manual data management process that is still often carried out today has the potential to cause various problems, such as data loss, input errors, and slow data search processes. This application was designed using Visual Basic .NET (VB.Net) as the main development platform, which was chosen for its ease of use and ability to create reliable desktop-based applications. The main functions of the application include inputting death data, archiving, searching for data, and creating reports. The system development method follows the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) model with stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation and testing. The database used is Microsoft Access to store death data in a structured and secure manner. The results of implementing this application show that the data management process has become faster, more accurate and organized. Apart from that, this application makes it easier for sub-district employees to compile regular death data reports. Thus, it is hoped that this application can be an effective solution in supporting administrative management at the Indralaya Village Office

Abstract

This research aims to find out how much influence the level of education and work motivation has on the performance of Class II Palembang Harbormaster and Port Authority Employees. In this research, the research method used is the explanatory survey research method, which seeks to highlight the relationship between research variables and test the hypotheses that have been prepared previously. The researcher used an explanatory survey method because in this research he tried to find the relationship between the research variables, namely: employee work ability (X1), employee work motivation (X2), and employee performance (Y). Based on the research results, several conclusions were obtained, as follows: 1) The magnitude of the influence of education level on employee performance at the Harbormaster's Office and Palembangn Port Authority is influenced by the dimensions of skills, knowledge and work experience, 2) The magnitude of the influence of motivation on employee performance at the Harbormaster's Office and The Palembang Port Authority is influenced by the dimensions of expectancy, instrumentality (performance-reward link) and valence (attractiveness of rewards).
