Abstract

Developing Practicum Tutorial Video For High School Students On The Human Blood Circulation In The Eleventh Graders Of Science Class To Support Biology Learning In The Covid-19 Pandemic Time. The government requires educators to use technology-based e-learning such as a practicum tutorial video for students. The purpose of this study was to develop a tutorial video for a practicum on human blood circulation material for high school students in the eleventh grade of IPA class in order to support Biology learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This was a research and development using the ADDIE model having five stages, namely: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. The instrument of the study used a questionnaire and test. The questionnaire was used as the measurement of learning media in the form of a tutorial video, and the test was used as a cognitive (knowledge) measurement. Based on the results, the video tutorial practicum had a good score of 3 tested by media and material experts, a score of 3.66 in the very good category assessed by the teachers, an average score of 2.96 with the results in the good category assessed by the students. Thus, the developed practicum tutorial video is feasible as the learning medium on human blood circulation material for practicum activity during the Covid-19 pandemic

Abstract

Pergerakan teknologi memang tidak bisa dipungkiri bergerak sangat cepat, seperti halnya pada segi komunikasi. Beberapa media komunikasi diciptakan selain sebagai media komunikasi juga diikutkan beberapa fitur yang mendukung media tersebut. Bentuk dari media komunikasi yang memiliki banyak fitur adalah media social, dimana kini media social dapat menyartakan suara, gambar atau bahkan video. Media social berkembang sangat cepat, salah satunya yaitu Instagram yang semakin meningkat jumlah penggunanya. Media social sebagai alat yang menghubungkan antar orang kini perlahan juga beralih menjadi media marketing dan promosi. Melalui media social Instagram dengan tingkat jangkauan yang luas harapannya mampu sebagai media promosi bagi SMP Muhammadiyah Nusawungu, sehingga mampu meningkatkan jumlah siswa pada SMP tersebut. Kegitan yang dilakukan pada pengabdian ini meliputi tiga tahap, antara lain: 1) koordinasi awal pelaksanaan kegiatan, yang bertujuan menentukan peserta dan waktu pelaksanaan kegiatan selanjutnya, 2) pengenalan media sosial Instagram sebagai media marketing dan promosi kepada tenaga pendidik di SMP Muhammadiyah Nusawungu serta pada pengelola akun Instagram nantinya dan 3) pendampingan pengelolaan akun Instagram untuk membuat konten yang dimasukkan dalam akun Instagram. Hasil dari pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah adanya akun Instagram SMP Muhammadiyah Nusawungu yang dapat di akses pada https://www.instagram.com/smpmumansw/. Pada kegiatan ini juga telah berhasil dibuat tiga konten video yang berhubungan dengan penerimaan peserta didik baru yang diunggah pada reel Instagram SMP Muhammadiyah Nusawungu.

Abstract

Hybrid learning, with a focus on facilitating students’ problem-solving skills, is a new and innovative approach which teachers can employ to inculcate higher-level thinking among their students. Accordingly, the purpose of this hybrid training program is to equip teachers with the skills to create hybrid learning instruments that facilitate problem-solving in their classrooms. The training methods include presentations, Q&A sessions, discussions and performances in the form of direct exercises guided by a facilitator (or resource person). Offline teachers from Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Muhammadiyah Kramat and online teachers from a primary school, or Sekolah Dasar (SD) MI Muhammadiyah Se-Banyumas attended the training. In general, training activities are structured into 4 stages, namely (1) training on creating instruments and implementing hybrid learning to support problem-solving; (2) assisting in the creation of hybrid learning instruments; 3) monitoring, testing, and implementing hybrid learning in the classroom; and 4) reflecting on the outcomes of implementing hybrid learning. Insights gained from the training program that aims to create hybrid learning instruments, are presented and discussed.

Abstract

This study aims to improve problem-solving skills and cognitive learning outcomes of students in mathematics and describe obstacles and solutions through the application of the Discovery Learning model with concrete media in class IIIA SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh. The background of this study is the low ability of students in solving problems and the achievement of cognitive learning outcomes in mathematics that are not optimal because learning is still conventional and does not involve students actively. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in three cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 26 students of class IIIA SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and written tests. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the study showed that the application of the Discovery Learning model with concrete media can improve problem-solving skills and cognitive learning outcomes in mathematics. The average problem-solving skills increased in cycle I = 83.24%, cycle II = 85.16%, and cycle III = 89.08%. The average percentage increase in cognitive learning outcomes in mathematics in cycle I = 76.92%, cycle II = 84.62%, and cycle III = 92.31%. This increase shows that the use of the Discovery Learning model with concrete media is effective in helping students understand the material in depth and actively solve problems. The obstacles found were the lack of initial understanding of students towards the problem and limited time in exploration. The solutions carried out include more intensive guidance for each group. The conclusion is that the application of the Discovery Learning Model with concrete media can improve Problem Solving Skills and Cognitive Learning Outcomes in Mathematics in Class IIIA Students of SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh.

Abstract

Education is a process of developing knowledge, skills and attitudes that does not only emphasize the achievement of cognitive learning outcomes. Active participation of students is important in the learning process because it affects the effectiveness of learning. Learning activities in class IVB IPAS subject matter of cultural diversity and customs are often found to be less active in participating in learning so it is necessary to apply learning media that attracts the participation of students. The purpose of this study was to increase learner participation through wordwall in IPAS subject matter of cultural diversity and local wisdom. The subjects of this study were students of class IVB SD N 2 Dukuhwaluh which amounted to 19 students. This research is a class action research consisting of 3 cycles. The data were collected through observation and then the data were analyzed using descriptive techniques with presentations based on the reflection of each cycle. The results showed that the activeness of students increased from pre-cycle to cycle 2. The observation results in the pre-cycle obtained a presentation of 58%, cycle I 84%, cycle II 95%. This shows that the use of wordwall media can increase the activeness of students.
