Abstract

Bugis tribe is an ethnic group that has long lived in the area of South Sulawesi. The area where the Bugis tribe resides in the central part of South Sulawesi makes this tribe in direct contact with other tribes residing in the province. For Bugis society, marriage means taking each other or Bugisnya siala '. One of the marriage customs in this Bugis Tribe is Money Panai ', where this tradition of the groom brings a certain amount of money to the prospective bride who will be used for the purpose of holding weddings and other wedding expenses. As for one film that raised the value of traditional / original culture is the film Money Panai = Maha (l) r. This study aims to determine the meaning of denotation, connotation and myths in the film Money Panai = Maha (l) r, knowing Bugis-Makassar Cultural Representation shown in Money Money Panai = Maha (l) r. This research uses qualitative research type with semiolysis analsis approach Roland Barthes. Subjects in this study are Scene-Scene in the Money Money Movement = Maha (l) r Makkita Cinema Production production in collaboration with 786 Productions. This study uses data collection techniques through documentation and literature study. To achieve the validity of data in this study, the authors use triangulation techniques. The results show that there are three corresponding meanings in Roland Barthes's semiotics. The meaning of denotation contained in the scene of the Money Panai film = = Maha (l) r describes the character of the bugis-makassar community as the Perantau, Asking for Opinion and Restu, Penjajakan, Kinship, Proposal, and Self-Esteem. Meaning of connotation gained in this film in the form of action figures, meaning of utterance based on implicit meaning in dialogue that presented depict value, custom, kinship and moral message. The meaning of myth / ideology contained in several scenes is interpreted through literature review on the culture of bugis-makassar that understand the values of customs, and culture of Self-esteem or siri 'which has been inherited and entrenched among the people of bugis-makassar. Abstract

Police of the Republic of Indonesia is a government institution engaged in the field of state security and is tasked to provide services to the community, provide security and serve the community well. it is a form of the image of the Police given to the public. Similarly, this film aims to know the meaning of denotation, connotations and myths in the film You are the Other me and also to know how the representation of the image of the police in movie You are the other me. This research uses qualitative research method with semiotics analysis approach Roland Barthes. Subjects in this research use the scenes that are in the movie You are other me. This study uses data collection techniques through scene observation, documentation and literature study to achieve the validity of data in this study, researchers used the technique Triangulation The results showed that there are three meanings in semiotics Roland Barthes, found the meaning of denotation of police image depicted in the movie you are the other me is the attitude done by the Police in the life of the community, the meaning of the image connotation Police in this film is the nature that is contained within the self The police are shown to the public in the face of a problem and solving the problem. the meaning of the myth in this movie is the attitude or characteristic of a Police when dealing with the people who make the image on the Police become positive. Abstract

The history of television in Indonesia began in 1962, with the stipulation of the Minister of Information Decree No. 190A / KEP / Menpen / 1987 on limited channel broadcasts. This triggered the presence of local television ready to present broadcasts, information and culture from the region itself. Dumai Vision is one of the longest local television in Dumai City and still exists to this day. The purpose of this research is to know how Dumai Vision strategy in maintaining its existence as a local television in Dumai City. This research uses qualitative method with descriptive analysis. The object of this research is the local television Dumai Vision maintains its existence. The subjects of the study consisted of six persons selected using purposive techniques determined based on the criteria of informants who understood the local television part of Dumai Vision. Techniques of collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study apply the theory of media ecology by Dimmick and Rothenbuhler which reveal that in order to maintain its existence, the media need the main life support sources namely, types of content (type of media content), types of audience (capital target audience) and capital (advertising revenue). In maintaining its presence in the local broadcasting industry in Dumai City, Dumai Vision runs a variety of strategies including: 1) Does a television program strategy, 2) Does strategy to attract viewers, 3) Does strategy to getting profit. Abstract

Interpersonal communication is very important in maintaining household harmony. With this interpersonal communication, couples can find out how to form a good relationship with each other. in the subdistrict of Bagan Manunggal sub-district, in the chart, it turned out that there were still many elderly couples who were still in harmony and still surviving at an advanced age of marriage. from the phenomenon of divorce that occurs a lot around him but Abri's pensioners are able to maintain his marriage until the age of gold. The purpose of this study was to explain how interpersonal communication between golden age couples in maintaining a harmonious family with retired children in a single village unit.            The purpose of this study was to explain how interpersonal communication between golden age couples in maintaining a harmonious family in retired servants in the village section The research was conducted in the village of Bagan Manunggal, Bagan Sinembah District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods that explain and interpret existing data. Informants in this researcher are husband and wife. Techniques for collecting data using observation, interviews and documentation.The results of this study indicate that interpersonal communication by husband and wife has gone well. married couples always communicate in an effort to foster, maintain and strengthen their interpersonal relationships in the family to avoid problems that arise in the family which later can lead to divorce by considering 5 aspects: openness, empathy, positive attitude, supportive attitude and equality. Openness, where the married couple has shown their open attitude by trusting each other and being loyal to each other. Empathy, where husband and wife feel what is felt by each other. Positive attitude, husband has shown a positive attitude by giving good advice to his wife. Supporting attitude, husband and wife have shown an attitude of support by accepting and giving input to each other. Abstract

Digital broadcasting is a technological development, Digital broadcasting is a new format that has many advantages of qualities such as; image, audio, and network. The one of program in Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) that use digital broadcasting is Penyejuk Qalbu’s program. This program discuss about the islamic religion, this program also use the musical instrument that is Rebana. The purpose of this research is to knowing how to the production management of digital broadcasting from Penyejuk Kalbu program in the TVRI Riau.This research use qualitative methods with descriptive approach. The object of this research is the production management of digital broadcasting from Penyejuk Kalbu program in the public broadcaster of Telivisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) Riau produced by TVRI Riau. The subject of this research is six persons as informant that is the head division of program section TVRI Riau, the producer of penyejuk qalbu program, presenter program, and transmitter technician. The technique of data collection in this research is interview, observation, and documentation.The result of this research is explained how to implement the methods of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling (POAC)in production management of digital broadcasting from Penyejuk Kalbu program to produce the quality broadcasts.The digital broadcasting from Penyejuk Kalbu programaplly 4 steps to make the quality broadcasts; the first is Planning, to determine the program and broadcast background, Content Planning, placement team for work in the individual worker, The second step is organizing, the digital broadcaster has been determined the worker in accordance with the capability, the third step is movement, begins with coverage in the studio, the placement of worker position, recording, sound proofing, and then broadcasting program in the transmitter room, the fourth step is controling and evaluation. The evaluation for make sure everysteps from program coverage to program broadcasting that is goes well, so this digital broadcasting can be enjoyed by riau people.Keywords: Management, Digital broadcast, Television Programs

Abstract

The development of communication and informatics technology makes television as one of the most attractive tools to be enjoyed. Broadcasting as a channel of information and forming public opinion, its role is more strategic, especially in developing democratic life. Village face is an informative-based program that presents information about the activities and the potential of villages in Bengkalis District such as public servants in the village, village geographic and demographic conditions, village tourism, economy, village development and village activities.Wajah Desa is a documentary program.Village face is broadcasted by a local television station in Bengkalis District, Bengkalis TV, which is a private station owned by PT. Riau Media Television (RTV), which is headquartered at Pekanbaru. Wajah Desa program aims to promote villages in Bengkalis District to the community, especially the people at Bengkalis, this program is broadcasted on Bengkalis TV and also uploaded on Bengkalis TV youtube channel. The purpose of this study was to determine the production management wajah desa in promoting villages in Bengkalis disctrict on Bengkalis TV.This study used a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects involved in this study were determined based on the purposive technique consisting of the person in charge of the operations of TV Bengkalis, cameramen, scriptwriters, editors and dubbers. Data analysis techniques were carried out by using the interactive data analysis model Miles and Huberman with data validity checking techniques, that is an extension of participation and triangulation.The results of this study the Wajah Desa program to apply 3 stages in the production process, namely: (1) pre-production was carried out in 7 forms, which is ideas or thoughts, program objectives, script writing, team formation and team meetings, costs, facilities and infrastructure, production time. (2) production, in the process the production, Wajah Desateam took pictures in the field and used lighting from sunlight and used the existing sound mic at the camera of Bengkalis TV. (3) post production, this stage consists of four forms, which is visual capture from the camera, online editing, mixing, broadcasting. The whole process is a form of management in the production process of the Wajah Desa program.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology in Indonesia, to make easy the process of information society. Television is a part of the development of communication technology that is able to provide a wide variety of information needed by the community. Electronic Media television also serves ads from different kinds of products. One of the products advertising on television is a popular advertising Beng Beng version of the break up, the ad is much liked by the people and become viral, and get awards bright awards 2016 category drama advertising bargains by being the winner in the nomination. This study aims to determine the meaning and messages contained in the ads Beng Beng version of the break up.This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The method used in this research is the method of semiotic analysis, with the approach of semiotic analysis of Charles Sanders Peirce, by looking at the sign, object, and interpretan in Ad Beng Beng version broken.This research get result that the meaning of ad impressions Beng Beng version of the break up, Beng Beng has an important influence in a relationship. In addition, Beng Beng can be consumed wherever, whenever with the family, relatives, friends, and lover, so Beng Beng can be consumed by various age groups. Beng Beng made of a material that is very delicious and can be consumed directly or cooled first. Beng Beng gives pleasure that is not finite for the audience. So, they could forget everything and make Beng Beng as a priority.

Abstract

YouTuber gaming is a phenomenon that is currently in high demand. In Indonesia, since 2015 until now the game creator content is developing rapidly. By displaying the interaction of gamers when playing games and gamers' behavior has been widely aired through online streaming media platforms such as YouTube so that it can be watched by many audiences. Milyhya is present as one of the creators of gaming content with the most viewers in Indonesia by presenting a new video game concept. Therefore, this study aims to find out how the representation of gamers' images in Milyhya youtube channel game compilation videos (Indonesian PUBG episode - Voice To All 2.0, Pan Test 2.0, Epic Chicken Dinner) through Roland Barthes semiotic analysis with Roland Barthes significance stage, denotation , connotations and myths.               This study uses qualitative research with Roland Barthes's semiotic analysis. The subject of the research are the scenes in the Milyhya video. The object of this research is milyhya audio and visual video. In this study using Observation Data Collection, Documentation and Library Study Techniques. To achieve the validity of the data in this study the authors used Triangulation.               The results obtained are the meaning of denotation in the form of interaction between fellow gamers in the PUBG game play, the meaning of connotations in the form of conversations and actions in the PUBG game play that depicts the lives of young people today in urban areas, and the mythical meaning in the form of community assumptions about the behavior of gamers. Representation of gamers 'images in Milyhya youtube channel game compilation videos (Indonesian PUBG episodes - Voice To All 2.0, Pan Test 2.0, Epic Chicken Dinner) then there are gamers' images as follows: likes to swear, friendly, loyal friends, ridiculing, clever foreign languages, teasers hypocritical, witty, likes to lie, arrogant, creative, problem solving, caring, afraid to lose, confident, clever. Keywords: Gamers, PlayernUnknown’s BattleGround’s, Representation, Semiotics

Abstract

This research discusses branding strategies and Unique Selling Points (USP) as important elements in forming the Bertjorak brand image, which is inspired by Indonesian culture through a combination of eccentric colors in its products. Using qualitative methods, this research collects data through interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that Bertjorak successfully implemented a co-branding strategy through collaboration with singer Basboi in the project "Knitnote: Thread of Tunes," which not only promotes products but also combines artistic and creative values. This collaboration strengthens brand awareness and equity, and increases sales. In addition, Bertjorak stands out with continuous innovation, including empowering PKK mothers through sewing training, which helps improve skills and strengthen community ties. Despite facing challenges such as changing fashion trends and limited human resources, Bertjorak has managed to stay relevant and expand its market through adaptation and deep understanding of consumer preferences.

Abstract

The ability to write and publish articles in scientific journals is part of the professional competence of the teacher. The problem is that many teachers have not mastered the skills of writing scientific papers. As a result, many teachers find it difficult to advance in rank, especially for promotion after IV/a. This paper describes a community service activity sponsored by Riau University lecturers which aims to help teachers improve their scientific writing skills. Community Service Activities were performed at a SMAIT (Islamic Integrated High School) in Pekanbaru, Riau. This paper further explains the concept of the workshop, the content of the workshop materials, and the effectiveness of the workshop. This workshop lasted for two months with three face-to-face training sessions. The rest was done online via the Google Classroom platform. The material content covers the basic principles of scientific writing, the steps for writing scientific journals, how to cite and make references, including how to automatically quote from reference manager applications such as Mendeley, and how to submit articles through the Online Journal System (OJS). Data from the survey conducted at the end of the community service activity showed that, in general, this activity was well and effectively carried out. The majority of participants (72.7%) stated that their motivation to write increased after attending the training. Their knowledge of writing scientific articles have improved after training. Their ability in writing scientific journals is also relatively better than before following this structured workshop.
