Abstract

Objective: to find out the correlation between cigarette consumption and teenage students' nutrition. Method: This was an observational research with descriptive-analytical design. The samples of this research were the seventh and eighth graders that were taken using proportional sampling. The data were analyzed using Spearman rank.  Results: The results showed that 22.9% of the students were at the age of 15 years old and did not smoke, 33 students (39.8%) were female and did not smoke. The most dominant cigarette consumption on teenage students was on the 33 respondents (39.8%) who did not smoke, and the most dominant nutrition status on teenage students were 54 respondents (65.1%).  Conclusion: There was a correlation between cigarette consumption and teenage students' nutrition

Abstract

Pelaksanaan resusitasi jantung paru (RJP) mewajibkan pelaksanaan RJP yang berkualitas. Salah satu indicator RJP yang berkualitas adalah kecepatan kompresi antara 100-120 kali per menit. Penelitian sebelumnya telah menguji efek Pendidikan Kesehatan penggunaan  music untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kecepatan RJP sesuai yang ideal. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan lagu baby shark serta video RJP terhadap kecepatan RJP.  Peneltian ini merupakan quasy experimental dengan jumlah sampel 68 responden selama 4 hari. Hari pertama, responden melakukan RJP lalu dihitung kecepatan RJP responden. Hari ke-2, ke-3 dan ke-4 responden mendengarkan lagu baby shark sekaligus melihat video RJP. Kemudian responden melakukan RJP setelah mendengarkan lagu.  Analisa data menggunakan paired t-test. Dari 68 responden, mempunyai berat badan >50 kg sebanyak 43 responden.  Rata-rata jumlah kompresi pada hari pertama 132,7 kali per menit. Pemberian intervensi dilakukan pada hari kedua, ketiga dan ke empat dan mempunyai rata-rata 128,9x per menit, 128,03x per menit dan 128,71 per menit. uji statistic menunjukkan nilai p value >0,05. Tidak ada pengaruh pemberian metronome baby shark terhadap kecepatan kompresi dada.

Abstract

Background: Nowadays, massive development of technology impacts to human of all ages. One of the impacts to children is the increase of screen time activity duration. The activity correlates to children’s sleep quality, it reduces their sleep duration.Objective: this study aims to identify factors of screen time activities and its different impact to boys and girls with age range 9-11 years old.Methods: This study uses an observational analytic study design with a cross-sectional approach. The respondents are school-aged children aged 9-11 years old with a total of 368 respondents.Results: This study find that children have sleeping average duration 8.704 (SD ± 1.36) h/day, and 63.9% of the children is reported to get sleep insufficiency. The screen time factor relates to sleep insufficiency of boys who spend more than 2 hours for screen time (p=0.000) and got difficulty to sleep (p=0.006). While the girls spend 2 hours or more for watching TV (p=0.013) and have difficulty of sleep (p=0.000).Conclusion: School-aged children who have sleep insufficiency are associated with bad media habits, in a form of excessive screen time activity. It is a challenge for the parents, children, and nurses to be aware of good media habit importance.

Abstract

Background: Adolescents are highly vulnerable to nutritional problems, with obesity recognized as a global epidemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). In Indonesia, around 13.5% of individuals over 18 are overweight, and 28.7% are obese. Objective: This study aimed to examine the effect of pear juice consumption on weight loss among obese adolescents. Methods: A quasi-experimental study with a pre-test and post-test control group design was conducted. Participants were divided into intervention and control groups, each with 34 obese adolescents selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Paired t-Test and Independent t-Test at a significance level of </ 0.05. Results: Most respondents were male (55.9%), 75.0% were classified as obese based on BMI, and 60.3% had a genetic predisposition to obesity. The intervention group showed an average weight loss of 1.91 +/ 0.332 kg, while the control group had an average weight gain of 1.79 +/ 0.155 kg. Although weight loss in the intervention group was significant, the difference between groups was not statistically significant. Conclusion: Pear juice may help reduce weight in obese adolescents, possibly due to its fiber content that supports calorie regulation. Further studies with larger samples are recommended.

Abstract

Background: The aging process in older adults results in physiological decline, increasing their dependence on family support. In addition to physiological decline, older adults often experience cognitive impairment, including dementia, a chronic or progressive syndrome that causes cognitive decline, affecting memory, thinking, orientation, comprehension, calculation, learning capacity, language, and judgment. One impact that families can experience when caring for older adults with a high care burden is a decline in the caregiver's sleep quality. Purpose: To determine the relationship between sleep quality and psychological well-being in families with older adults. Method: This quantitative study used a cross-sectional approach. The population was 19,934 families with older adults in Cilongok District. The sample size was calculated using the Slovin formula with a 5% margin of error (0.05), and a purposive sampling technique resulted in a sample of 392 respondents. The measurement instruments used were the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale (RPWB), and the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE). Data were analyzed using the Spearman test. Results: Dementia data showed the mean age of elderly care recipients was 71.90 years with a standard deviation of ±6.91. The majority of elderly patients suffered from hypertension and moderate dementia. Analysis revealed marital status (p=0.038), sources of health information (p=<0.001), elderly health problems (p<0.001), subjective sleep quality dimensions (p=0.003), sleep latency (p=0.014), and total PSQI score (0.025). Conclusion: Sleep quality is positively correlated with psychological well-being. The better the sleep quality, the higher the psychological well-being score. Suggestion: Future researchers can combine data collection through questionnaires and in-depth interviews to further explore psychological well-being and sleep quality in elderly patients.    Keywords: Caregivers; Elderly; Psychological Well-Being; Sleep Quality.    Pendahuluan: Proses penuaan pada lansia mengakibatkan penurunan fisiologis yang meningkatkan ketergantungan lansia pada keluarga untuk membantunya. Selain penurunan fisiologis, fungsi kognitif juga sering dialami oleh lansia yaitu demensia, salah satu sindrom bersifat kronis atau progresif yang menyebabkan penurunan fungsi kognitif, sehingga memengaruhi memori, pemikiran, orientasi, pemahaman, perhitungan, kapasitas belajar, bahasa dan penilaian. Salah satu dampak yang dapat dirasakan keluarga ketika merawat lansia dengan kondisi beban perawatan yang tinggi adalah dapat menurunkan tingkat kualitas tidur caregiver. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan kualitas tidur dengan kesejahteraan psikologis pada keluarga dengan lansia. Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah keluarga dengan lansia di Kecamatan Cilongok yang berjumlah 19,934 jiwa. Sampel dihitung dengan rumus Slovin dengan margin of error 5% (0.05) dan dengan teknik purposive sampling mendapatkan sampel sebanyak 392 responden. Instrumen pengukuran yang digunakan yaitu Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Scale (RPWB), dan Mini Mental State Exam (MMSE). Selanjutnya data dianalisis menggunakan Uji Spearman. Hasil: Data demensia menunjukkan usia rata-rata lansia yang dirawat adalah 71.90 tahun dengan standar deviasi ±6.91. Sebagian besar gangguan kesehatan yang dimiliki lansia adalah hipertensi dan mengalami tingkat demensia dalam kategori sedang. Hasil analisis didapatkan status perkawinan (p=0.038), sumber informasi kesehatan (p=<0.001), gangguan kesehatan lansia (p<0.001), dimensi kualitas tidur subjektif (p=0.003), latensi tidur (p=0.014), dan total skor PSQI (0.025). Simpulan: Kualitas tidur berkorelasi positif terhadap kesejahteraan psikologi. Semakin baik kualitas tidur yang dimiliki, akan semakin tinggi nilai kesejahteraan psikologis seseorang. Saran: Peneliti selanjutnya dapat mengombinasikan pengambilan data melalui kuesioner dan wawancara mendalam untuk memungkinkan menggali lebih dalam kondisi kesejahteraan psikologis dan kualitas tidur pada lansia.   Kata Kunci: Kesejahteraan Psikologis; Kualitas Tidur; Lansia; Pengasuh.
