Abstract

The research will be conducted in June 2023 in Paya Benua Village, West Mendo District, Bangka Regency. The purpose of this study is to analyze marketing channels, understand the marketing functions carried out by marketing agencies, calculate marketing profits, analyze marketing efficiency by calculating marketing margins, determine farmer's share value, and measure cayenne pepper marketing efficiency in Payacontinent Village, West Mendo District, Bangka Regency. The research method used is a survey method with probability sampling techniques, where 30 farmers are randomly selected as samples. The sample of traders was determined using the Snowball Sampling method, with the results of 6 middlemen and 9 retailers. The results showed that the marketing function performed by farmers and traders involves buying, selling, transporting, sorting & grading, risk bearing, and market information. The marketing of cayenne pepper in Payacontinent Village uses three marketing channels: Channel I (Farmers-Middlemen-Consumers),   Channel   II   (Farmers-Retailers-Consumers),   and   Channel   III (Farmers-Middlemen-Traders-Retailers-Consumers).   Marketing   profits   obtained   from   Channel   I amounted to Rp2,517/kg, Channel II amounted to Rp7,632/kg, and Channel III amounted to Rp8,572/kg. Marketing efficiency on all channels is classified as efficient, with values of 13.61%, 8.95%, and 13.82%, respectively. Of the three channels, Channel II is considered the most efficient.

Abstract

Forest honey harvest and post-harvest activities in Namang Village still apply traditional methods, namely based on local wisdom carried out by the local community. The research was conducted with the aim of describing harvest and post-harvest activities of forest honey in the Pelawan Forest Biodiversity Park, Namang Village, Central Bangka Regency. The research was carried out in the Pelawan Forest Biodiversity Park, Namang Village, Central Bangka Regency using the case study method. The research location was determined using purposive sampling and respondents were interviewed using a questionnaire. Based on the research results, it is known that the forest honey harvesting activities carried out in Namang Village include characteristics of ready-to-harvest honey, scavenging using a pusung, and nest cutting/harvesting carried out using the circumcision technique. Next, post-harvest activities are carried out which consist of transportation using ropes, jerry cans and motorized vehicles, pressing activities carried out manually, filtering carried out using traditional techniques, and packaging stages.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate coffee agribusiness development strategies in Central Bangka Regency and formulate priority strategies for coffee agribusiness development strategies in Central Bangka Regency. This research was conducted from November to January 2024 in Central Bangka Regency. The research method used in this research is survey. The sampling method used was purposive sampling with a sample of 30 respondents. The analysis method used descriptive qualitative and Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The results showed that the overall internal factor value was 2.57 and the external factor value was 2.77. Three alternative strategies that are appropriate to be selected as the main strategy are the development of coffee agribusiness systems based on local resources and culture, utilization of environmentally friendly technology and market orientation with a TAS value of 6.31 (Rank I). Development of coffee-based integrated agribusiness in each major coffee-producing region with a TAS value of 6.09 (Rank II). Development of coffee agribusiness systems directed at increasing competitiveness through fostering improvements in the quality and appearance of coffee and processed products with a TAS value of 6.01 (Rank III).

Abstract

Pemberdayaan kelompok pembudidaya ikan melalui penggemukkan kepiting bakau (Scylla sp.) di Sub-DAS Selindung berpotensi dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan pembudidaya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan implementasi budidaya kepiting bakau berupa penggemukkan. Hal ini dapat menjadi mata rantai dari nelayan penangkap kepiting bakau, dengan rantai pasok perantara yaitu Pokdakan Kulong Kelat Sukses untuk menuju ke konsumen. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan konsep agromaritim melalui penggemukkan kepiting bakau yang berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini dimulai bulan Juni hingga November 2024, bertempat di Kelompok Pembudidaya Ikan Kulong Kelat Sukses (Pokdakan KKS) Desa Pagarawan, Kecamatan Merawang, Kabupaten Bangka, Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. Kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif termasuk diseminasi dan implementasi penggemukkan komoditi kepiting bakau. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa implementasi konsep agromaritim dapat dilakukan melalui budidaya pepaya California dan penggemukkan kepiting bakau dibantu suplemen teknologi probiotik “Probio_FmUBB”. Penggunaan suplemen probiotik terbukti efektif dalam efisiensi pakan, pertumbuhan kepiting, dan hasil produksi kepiting bakau organik, serta dapat menjadi bagian integral dari implementasi konsep agromaritim. Probiotik ini dicampurkan pada pakan ikan selanjutnya diberikan ke bibit kepiting bakau di kolam. Bibit kepiting bakau ukuran 8 – 10 ekor/kg berasal dari nelayan bubu kepiting terdekat di Desa Pagarawan. Pengukuran kualitas air yang penting terutama adalah DO, pH, suhu, nitrat, fosfat dan amonia. Penggemukkan kepiting selama 2 bulan mencapai ukuran 4 – 5 ekor/kg dan dipanen secara bertahap. Penerapan suplemen teknologi probiotik perlu terus disosialisasikan dan didukung melalui program-program pemerintah yang fokus pada pengembangan sektor perikanan dan maritim. Implementasi konsep agromaritim dapat menjadi solusi model pemberdayaan yang berkelanjutan khususnya di Sub-DAS Selindung.

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki potensi besar di sektor perikanan dan pertanian, terutama melalui pendekatan agromaritim yang mengintegrasikan kedua sektor tersebut. Namun, pembudidaya ikan skala kecil menghadapi tantangan seperti keterbatasan akses terhadap teknologi dan manajemen pasar. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan probiotik Probio_FmUBB dan teknologi IoT dalam budidaya lele di Pokdakan Mina Berkah Mandiri, Desa Balunijuk. Dengan mengintegrasikan inovasi dalam akuakultur, program ini meningkatkan produktivitas, diversifikasi pendapatan, dan keberlanjutan, serta mendukung indikator kinerja perguruan tinggi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan memberdayakan Pokdakan Mina Berkah Mandiri, Desa Balunijuk, Pulau Bangka, melalui penerapan probiotik Probio_FmUBB dan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) untuk meningkatkan efisiensi budidaya ikan lele berbasis agromaritim. Latar belakang kegiatan adalah tantangan pembudidaya ikan skala kecil dalam mengakses teknologi dan mengelola usaha secara optimal, sehingga diperlukan solusi berbasis teknologi modern. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan partisipatif yang berfokus pada pengenalan probiotik serta instalasi dan penggunaan alat IoT untuk pemantauan kualitas air. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan kapasitas mitra dalam mengelola budidaya, dengan adanya efisiensi pakan dan pengendalian parameter air seperti suhu dan pH menjadi lebih efektif melalui sistem IoT. Selain itu, probiotik Probio_FmUBB mendukung pertumbuhan ikan yang optimal dan mengurangi biaya operasional. Kesimpulannya, penerapan probiotik dan teknologi IoT berhasil meningkatkan produktivitas, keberlanjutan usaha, dan memberdayakan masyarakat lokal dengan pendekatan berbasis teknologi yang dapat direplikasi.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is one of the human capital variables of pepper farmers that plays an important role in determining the success of pepper agribusiness development in this creative era. To face the challenges of the business climate change, pepper farmers need entrepreneurship. The objectives compiled in this study are to identify the entrepreneurial characteristics of Muntok White Pepper farmers and to analyze the effect of entrepreneurial characteristics on their entrepreneurial behavior in managing to farm. The study was conducted by survey method, involving 115 farmers. Data analysis used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that the entrepreneurial characteristics of pepper farmers are risk-taking, responsive to opportunities, innovative, and motivated. Also, the results showed that the entrepreneurial characteristics of pepper farmers positively and significantly influence their entrepreneurial behavior. Furthermore, the most dominant variable reflecting their entrepreneurial characteristics is the courage to take risks. This study recommends muntok pepper farmers that they always dare to take risks, be persistent and disciplined. Additionally, knowledge and skills need to be constantly updated to grow the ability to innovate and be creative in carrying pepper cultivation activities out.

Abstract

Currently, the performance of the pepper Muntok business continues to decline from time to time. This condition needs to be supported by studying the characteristics of farmers as human resources who carry out business planning and decision-making faced with various threats, challenges, and uncertainties. This study aims to 1) determine personal characteristics; 2) analyze the effect of personal characteristics on entrepreneurial behavior, 3) analyze the effect of personal characteristics and entrepreneurial behavior of farmers on business performance; and 4) analyze the effect of entrepreneurial behavior on business performance. The research method uses a survey method involving 90 farmers. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through Smart Partial Least squares (PLS). The results showed that the personal characteristics of the dominant farmer were strongly reflected by indicators of ethnic origin, experience, and age. Personal characteristics positively and significantly contribute to entrepreneurial behavior, and positive entrepreneurial behavior significantly influences business performance. The study results did not directly influence personal characteristics on business performance but through entrepreneurial behavior. Furthermore, the indicator variables of ethnic origin, experience, and age affect discipline, persistence, perseverance, interest in seeking and increasing knowledge, and mastery of technical skills, which can ultimately determine the level of business productivity and the desire to grow through business expansion. Before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, the entrepreneurial behavior of farmers was still strongly shaped by cognitive and affective variables. It is necessary to increase the skills of farmers through training and entrepreneurship development that pays attention to personal characteristics to improve business performance. This study can recommend the Agriculture Office of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in formulating policies to increase the productivity of pepper plants and the welfare of pepper farmers in the future.

Abstract

The problem of Muntok Pepper business performance continues to decline due to the inability of farmers to face price uncertainty, recognize and understand market conditions. The fact is that the number of business actors continues to grow. Competing to face changes in the business environment is necessary, so entrepreneurial farmers are needed. This study aims to look at the postharvest process carried out by Muntok Pepper farmers and analyze whether entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation are determinant factors that affect the postharvest handling process. The research method used a survey method involving 60 farmers. Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), data analysis was carried out using smart Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that the postharvest handling process was significantly influenced by entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation, but entrepreneurial orientation influence was greater than market orientation. Farmers carry out postharvest handling of Muntok Pepper in two stages. 50% of farmers carry out threshing, soaking, and drying processes. 50% of farmers do not do the sorting, grading, and milling process. Farmers’ decisions in postharvest handling are more influenced by the influence of the entrepreneurial orientation of farmers. Farmers who are motivated to excel, dare to take risks, and are willing to innovate by using new production methods tend to carry out a good postharvest handling process, not only threshing, soaking, and drying but also sort and process pepper derivative products.

Abstract

Millennial farmers are part of the farmer regeneration acceleration program aimed at increasing the number of farmers and expanding the supply of entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector. This study was conducted to predict the behavior of millennial farmers through their intentions, based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), comprehensively integrating individual aspects with their environment. The purpose of the study is to analyze the factors that influence the entrepreneurial intentions of millennial farmers. The research method employed a survey method, with sampling carried out using a saturation sampling method involving 54 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis utilizing Smart Partial Least Squares (PLS) 3.0. The research findings revealed that 81.49% of millennial farmers have entrepreneurial intentions, specifically in agriculture. Entrepreneurial intention is significantly influenced by variables such as attitude toward the behavior, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control. The entrepreneurial intention of millennial farmers is predominantly influenced by attitude toward the behavior and subjective norms. For millennial farmers deciding to venture into entrepreneurship, relying solely on the importance of belief and self-evaluation is not enough; the motivation and desire to meet expectations also play a crucial role in enhancing intention.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan : (1) Menganalisis pola tanam sawi caisim yang ada di Desa Balunijuk Kecamatan Merawang Kabupaten Bangka (2) Menghitung tingkat pendapatan petani sawi caisim dengan berbagai pola tanam di Desa Balunijuk Kecamatan Merawang Kabupaten Bangka. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2023 hingga bulan Oktober 2023 di Desa Balunijuk. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu Purposive Sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 32 orang. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, kuisioner, dan observasi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif dimana pendapatan pendapatan dihitung dengan rumus pendapatan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Pola tanam sawi caisim yang diterapkan di Desa Balunijuk meliputi pola tanam Monokultur (sawi caisim) dengan persentase sebesar 62,5 persen dengan rata-rata luas lahan 2.050m2 dengan pengalaman usahatani rata-rata selama 10 tahun. Pada pola tanam polikultur sawi caisim-bayam diperoleh persentase sebesar 18,75 persen dengan luas lahan rata-rata sebesar 2.717m2 dan pengalaman usahatani rata-rata selama 20 tahun. Kemudian, pola tanam sawi caisim-kangkung dengan persentase sebesar 18,75 persen dengan luas lahan rata-rata sebesar 3.383m2 serta lama pengalaman usahatani rata-rata selama 20 tahun. (2) Tingkat pendapatan rata-rata petani sawi caisim dengan berbagai pola tanam di Desa Balunijuk yaitu pada pola tanam monokultur sebesar Rp 4.792.473/2 bulan termasuk kedalam golongan rendah, pola tanam polikultur (sawi caisim-bayam) sebesar Rp 5.427.722/2 bulan termasuk kedalam golongan tinggi, dan pola tanam polikultur (sawi caisim-kangkung) yaitu sebesar Rp 6.327.794/2 bulan sehingga masuk kedalam golongan pedapatan tinggi. Perbedaan tingkat pendapatan pada pola tanam disebabkan perbedaan luas lahan, hasil produksi, serta biaya produksi yang di keluarkan oleh masing-masing pola tanam.
