Abstract

Corn farming communities in the Anggana sub-district usually harvest dry corn every 2-3 months and resulting about 200-700 kg. However, there are a very limited number of corn shellers and corn grinders used by 14 farmer groups, and inefficient. To overcome this, a new machine is needed to peel and grind corn with the results of whole corn cobs. The goal is to simplify the work of the farmers, increase the productivity of corn flour production and save costs. The method used in this training by demonstrating how to peel and grind corn using a machine. The women farmer group participated in the training with enthusiasm and at the end of the activity they were able to use the corn sheller and grinder, correctly. The community service team also donated corn shellers and grinders to partners.

Abstract

Makanan ringan bercita rasa gurih sudah menjadi oleh-oleh wajib bagi wisatawan yang datang ke Kalimantan Timur. Permasalahannya beberapa dari pengrajin amplang dalam Proses penggorengan amplang masih menggunakan cara manual. Penggorengan manual ini sering terjadi kegosongan amplang sehingga ada amplang yang harus dibuang karena gosong. Dari situasi tersebut kami mengusulkan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat untuk memberdayakan masyarakat pengrajin amplang dalam pemahaman dan ketrampilan menggunakan Mesin Pengoreng Amplang. Pelatihan Penggunaan Mesin Pengoreng Amplang bertujuan untuk mengajarkan teknik pengoperasian mesin penggoreng amplang yang benar, dan target khususnya adalah untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan kualitas produksi amplang. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah dengan mendemonstrasikan penggunaan Mesin penggorengan amplang terkait teknik penggunaan dan perawatan mesin. Pengrajin amplang mempunyai peran dalam penyediaan bahan adonan dan tempat pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian. Hasil yang diharapkan para pengrajin amplang dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dan kualitas produksi mereka, sehingga mampu bersaing dengan produsen amplang lainnya di pasar lokal maupun nasional. Luaran wajib publikasi di jurnal nasional terakreditasi (SINTA), Paten sederhana, Artikel pada media massa cetak, Produk, Vidio pelaksanaan kegiatan dan Peningkatan keberdayaan mitra.

Abstract

This study evaluates the operational efficiency and safety of Ammonium Nitrate loading and unloading at PT Kutai Jaya Pundinusa, Bontang, East Kalimantan. Given the material's hazardous nature, the research focuses on operational factors, including time efficiency, equipment capacity, workforce performance, and adherence to workplace safety standards. Using field observations, interviews, and qualitative data analysis, the study seeks to identify effectiveness hindrances and provide actionable recommendations. Its contribution lies in enhancing maritime supply chain management for hazardous materials, improving logistical efficiency, and strengthening safety protocols at industrial ports.
