Abstract

This study aimed to improve the students’ productive disposition (PD) through Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning with an outdoor approach based on school level. Productive disposition development is intended so that students can appreciate mathematics as a science needed for their lives. The method used in this research was a quasi-experimental study. The population was 210 students of the fifth grade of Elementary School from five schools. The sample was 75 fifth grade students. The data were collected by using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using t-test to find out the difference between the experimental and the control group. The results of this study indicate that RME learning with the outdoor approach more influential than the conventional learning in improving PD in high school level. Otherwise, in medium and low level school, the conventional learning was more influential than the RME learning with the outdoor approach to improve the students’ PD. Therefore, it can be concluded that the school level needs to be considered in improving students’ productive disposition through RME learning with an outdoor approach. Moreover, RME learning with an outdoor approach as an alternative model to improve productive disposition of students.

Abstract

Thingking geometry is the placement of students based on their ability to understand geometric figures. Van Hiele’s theory states that student’s geometric thingking levels are sequentially through levels or levels, namely level 1 (analysis), Level 2 (abstraction), Level 3 (deduction) and Level 4 (rigor). This study aims to determine and describe the achievement of van hiele geometric thingking level in term of learning independence and self-confidence. The reasearch method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The instrument used is a van hiele geomery test item and a questionnaire. The provision of test and questionnaires was carried out to students of SMPN 4 Bengkulu City for the 2021/2022 academic year. The results showed that the achievement of van hiele’s geometric thingking level was influenced by independent learning and self-confidence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh model pembelajaran treffinger terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematika dan kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa SMA Negeri 2 kota bengkulu pada materi sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian ex-post facto yang bersifat kausalitas dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 36 siswa dari kelas X MIPA H SMA Negeri 2 Kota Bengkulu Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan instrumen tes. Untuk analisis data instrumen tes menggunakan uji Manova. Hasil penelitian ini adalah berdasarkan uji dari keempat prosedur untuk pengujian secara multivariat menunjukan angka 0,000 < 0,05 maka terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model pembelajaran treffinger terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematika dan kemampuan berfikir kritis matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self efficacy siswa terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis pada materi perbandingan kelas VII SMPN 11 Kota Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah expost de facto atau sering disebut kausal komparatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket self efficacy dan tes kemampuan koneksi matematis. Populasi  dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 11 Kota Bengkulu tahun ajaran 2023 dan sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu pada kelas VII D yang berjumlah 30 peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik menggunakan analisis kovarian, hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa self efficacy siswa berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis yaitu sebesar 22,1% dan kemampuan awal (kovariat) berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis yaitu sebesar 45,1%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian ex post facto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VII SMP negeri 7 Kota Bengkulu tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII C dan VII E dengan jumlah 39 orang yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik tes dan non tes dengan instrumen lembar angket dan tes soal. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji analisis kovarian. Hasil dari pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the problems of the PISA model in mathematics textbooks which are in terms of the aspects contained in the components of the PISA model. The research subjects were competency test questions in the 2017 revised edition of the 2017 curriculum 2013 math textbooks, totaling 180. This study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The research instrument was an analysis guide sheet based on the aspects of content, context, and cognitive level of the PISA model questions. Data analysis uses the stages of unit purchasing analysis, categorizing, and coding. The results showed that there were 17.22% of the PISA model questions. The questions are distributed based on each content consisting of number, space & shape, change & relationship, and impossibility & data. In the context aspect, the questions only fulfill three contexts, personal work, and social judging from the level of cognitive questions that are applied at the level of remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, and assessing levels. Abstract

This study aims to describe the facts, concepts, principles, and mathematical operations contained in the ethnomathematics of Fort Marlborough Bengkulu. This research is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The subjects in this study were seven: one Bengkulu history expert, two Marlborough Fort synthesizers, two mathematicians, and two Bengkulu City mathematics teachers. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed through three stages, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the research found include, there are mathematical facts on the ethnomathematics of the Marlborough fort Bengkulu, Facts in the form of points, wake-up webs, lines, and line segments. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop the mathematics learning media with ethnomathematics base for SMP (Junior High School) students at traditional house of Rejang Lebong and the media must valid, practice and effective. The research which used is research which developed by using ADDIE model with 5 steps, they are: (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, and (5) evaluation. The subjects in this research are 24 students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 36 Rejang Lebong. The data instrument which collected in this research consist of validity sheet, practical sheet and a sheet of concept understanding capability test. Data are analyzed by using descriptive statistics to describe the average from students’ concept understanding. Validity is analyzed by using Aiken Index. The result shows that mathematics learning media with ethnomathematics base at Rumah Adat Rejang Lebong is Valid with average Aiken Index score on material aspect is 0,81 and media aspect is 0,92 with valid criteria. Learning media has practical criteria from the teacher and students’’ point of view. Interactive learning media product with ethnomathematics has followed the effective criteria according to students’ capability in understanding the concept. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of attitudes and habits of learning mathematics through online learning on students' cognitive learning outcomes. This type of research is correlation research using ex post facto design. The research population was all class X IPA students at senior high school 7 Bengkulu City for the 2020/2021 academic year with 320 students. The research sample of 107 students from three classes was selected by a simple random sampling technique where the distribution of students' abilities in each category was not different. The study results show that attitudes toward learning mathematics in online learning have a direct positive effect on students' cognitive learning outcomes. The habit of learning mathematics in online learning has a direct and positive effect on students' cognitive learning outcomes. Abstract

This study aims to determine the basic concepts and values of mathematics contained in traditional Bengkulu musical instruments in elementary schools. The urgency of this research is to use regional culture in learning mathematics theoretically and practically as a medium and source of learning mathematics through learning outside the classroom to achieve the objectives of learning mathematics in elementary schools. This research method is a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. Data sources are in the form of traditional Bengkulu musical instruments, namely dhol, tassa, long drums, and serunai. Other data sources are documents and interviews with experts and practitioners of Bengkulu traditional musical instruments. The data were analyzed qualitatively with the method of content analysis. The result of this study shows that the basic mathematical concepts in Bengkulu traditional musical instruments are points, lines, angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, kites, circles, tubes, half balls, cut balls, cut cones, universes, and patterns. At the same time, the mathematical values contained in traditional Bengkulu musical instruments are obeying the rules, consistency, creativity, and cooperation. Therefore, as an alternative to effective learning in elementary schools, Bengkulu traditional musical instruments can be used as a medium and source of learning mathematics outside the classroom.
