Abstract

Generally, McDonald’s is recognized as one of the most successful brands worldwide. They are well-known throughout the world for their popular fast food, especially burgers. However, COVID-19 pandemic has impacted various economic sectors, including Food & Beverage. McDonald’s sales have also been impacted when COVID-19’s lockdown restricts the dine-in operation and limits the customer’s satisfaction due to the SOP. Thus, this research aims to identify and analyze the strategies implemented by McDonald’s to increase the customer’s satisfaction during Covid-19 pandemic. To find out the result of the research, a survey has been conducted and the data was collected from individuals with different age and income ranges in Malaysia. A total of 100 individuals have participated in this survey. Besides, in order to gain a better understanding of our study, secondary data for this study was gathered from a variety of websites, journals, and articles. The findings of this research indicate that McDonald's decision to increase the Food & Safety measure is by implementing various safety requirements. This is the most successful approach to improve customer’s satisfaction during COVID-19. They chose this strategy to demonstrate their commitment to preserve a healthy life.

Abstract

The development of technology in the digital era has changed the way of life in various aspects of life, including in patterns of interaction and daily activities. The use of electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, and televisions has now become an inseparable part of human life, both adults and young children. The purpose of this study was to explain family communication strategies in reducing screen time for early childhood in Bartong Village, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative research method. The research concept uses research categorization from the main aspects, namely Communicator, Message, Media, Communicant, and Feedback. Data collection was carried out by conducting interviews with five informants who were members of the community or families of children exposed to screen time. The data analysis technique used was qualitative, namely with data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that the approach of speaking softly and providing direct examples was more effective than the rules for limiting screen time. Parents divert children's attention with physical and social activities to reduce dependence on screen devices. Although the strategies implemented have proven effective, evaluation and adjustment of strategies are still needed for more optimal results.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest exporters of fresh and marine ornamental fish. However, several obstacles are faced by betta fish farmers, namely, such as poor colour quality, and low growth. There are various ways to improve colour quality, namely by adding pigment through feed. One of them is by utilizing purslane (Portulaca oleracea). This study aimed to analyse the effect of purslane plant extract (Portulaca oleracea) in increasing the brightness of the colour of betta fish (Betta sp.). The research method used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 4 treatments 3 three replications. The treatments to be carried out were: P0 (100 g pellets), P1 (25 ml/100 g pellets), P2 (50 ml/100 g pellets) and P3 (75 ml/100 g pellets). Parameters observed: colour intensity, Absolute Length Growth, Absolute Weight Growth, and Survival rate (SR). The results of the study were that purslane extract from commercial pellet feed had a significant effect on the colour intensity of betta fish with a P3 dose of 75 ml/100 g pellet. In absolute length growth, the addition of purslane extract to commercial feed had a significant effect (p<0.05). For absolute weight growth and survival rate, no significant effect on betta fish.Keywords: Commercial Pellets; Purslane Extract; Siamese Fighting Fish

Abstract

Limbah mengacu pada produk sampingan atau residu yang dihasilkan dari berbagai kegiatan industri atau rumah tangga. Oleh karena itu, sangat penting untuk memanfaatkan kembali limbah ampas tebu ini menjadi produk yang tidak hanya mengurangi dampak buruk terhadap lingkungan tetapi juga berfungsi sebagai bahan kerajinan tangan yang memiliki potensi artistik dan menguntungkan bagi masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keunggulan ampas tebu, komposisinya, dan produksi produk turunan ampas tebu. Hasil akhir dari olahan produk ampas tebu yang dibuat merupakan produk terpilih berupa cup gelas.
