Abstract

Most students carry out formal communication such as presenting assignments or expressing opinions in formal forums and there is anxiety about public speaking in their implementation. Virtual reality based on cognitive behavior therapy (VR-CBT) is one of the psychological interventions that can be applied in this study with the aim of reducing the level of anxiety in public speaking. The public speaking anxiety scale, TMAS, and psychological tests were used as measures to determine the subject's anxiety level. Collecting data using observation and interviews with subjects and related parties. This research design uses descriptive qualitative with a case study approach (case study). This study consisted of one subject who was a 20 year old sixth semester student. The VR CBT consisted of 10 sessions (+60 minutes / session). The data analysis technique used qualitative data analysis. The results showed that the subject's public speaking anxiety level decreased. That is, VR CBT is effective in reducing the level of public speaking anxiety.

Abstract

This study aimed to reduce student’s anxiety through reading and tadabbur al-Qur’an. Research used an experimental method with pretest-posttest control group design. Each experimental group and control group consisted of 5 3rd grade students of senior high school, who able to recite reading Qur’an. To measure student’s anxiety was used Fadlillah’s scale (2011). The results showed differences in student’s anxiety in experimental group and control group, p = 0,045 (p < 0,05). This study showed that reading and tadabbur Qur’an could reduce student’s anxiety. Weaknesses and the implications of this research are also discussed in this paper.

Abstract

Some special needs children, such as the deaf, may have underdeveloped motor skills. This condition impacts their daily activities as well as academic performance. Play therapy is an intervention applied in this study to enhance both gross and fine motor skills in 1st-grade students. The play therapy in this study consists of 17 sessions (60 minutes/session). Data collection involves observation, interviews with relevant parties, and visual motor integration tests. The research design employs qualitative descriptive with a case study approach. This study involves one subject, an 8-year-old 1st-grade student in a special education class. Data analysis technique utilizes qualitative data analysis. The results indicate that play therapy can improve both gross and fine motor skills in deaf children of Elementary School.

Abstract

The relationship between self-efficacy and self-regulated learning in students in Bukittinggi. This study aims to see the relationship between self-efficacy and self-regulated learning in students in Bukittinggi. The population in this study was students at 15 universities in Bukittinggi with stratified proportional random sampling technique. The data collection tool used a self-efficacy scale and a self-regulated learning scale. Data analysis technique using product moment correlation test from Karl Pearson using SPSS 16.0 for windows. The results proved that there was a positive relationship, tevident from the results of the hypothesis test obtained a correlation coefficient rxy of 0.841 and p = 0.000 (p < 0.05).

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki implementasi praktik kerja profesional psikologi dalam menangani penolakan sekolah di tingkat Taman Kanak-Kanak di Salman Alfarisi 2. Dengan menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pengalaman dan perspektif pemangku kepentingan utama yaitu psikolog dan anak-anak tingkat Taman Kanak-kanak yang menghadapi penolakan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara mendalam, diskusi kelompok terarah, dan observasi partisipan untuk mengumpulkan data deskriptif yang kaya. Temuan-temuannya mengungkapkan pemahaman yang komprehensif mengenai tantangan dan keberhasilan dalam mengimplementasikan intervensi psikologis dan praktik kerja profesional. Intervensi yang dilakukan meliputi konseling dan psikoedukasi untuk orang tua, psikoedukasi untuk guru, dan strategi yang ditargetkan untuk anak-anak yang terkena dampak. Hasil penelitian menyoroti pentingnya upaya kolaboratif yang melibatkan berbagai pemangku kepentingan untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung bagi siswa Taman Kanak-kanak yang mengalami penolakan di sekolah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the views of adolescents in Sukabumi about their mental health and the influence of past trauma, self-perception, and health promotion. This study used a quantitative design to examine the influence of past trauma, self-perception, and health promotion on mental health understanding in adolescents. Data from 275 respondents were collected quantitatively using a structured questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale. The results of this study indicate the importance of overcoming trauma, increasing self-esteem, and creating effective health education initiatives. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that it is important to develop appropriate treatments to increase mental health awareness among adolescents in Sukabumi. Keywords: Adolescents, Health Promotion, Mental Health Awareness, Past Trauma, Self-Perception.

Abstract

Bullying is one of the phenomena that often occurs in schools. One type of bullying that occurs is verbal bullying. Several studies have stated that most students still consider the behavior they do to be normal and understandable so that it occurs repeatedly. Therefore, it is important to take quick steps to stop verbal bullying, especially in schools. This study aims to determine the number of students who have experienced verbal bullying, describe the distribution of types of verbal bullying that have been experienced and efforts to prevent verbal bullying. The activity method is community service to students of SMK N 1 Takengon. This service activity is packaged in quantitative form and theoretical activities (lectures) and role playing techniques to describe strategies for dealing with verbal bullying. This activity was carried out during two meetings.
