Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of external locus of control based on students’ gender towards impulsive buying. The subjects of this study are 80 students in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, aged 17-21 years. The Impulsive Buying and External Scales of Locus of Control were the instruments of this research. Simple linear regression analysis used as the data analysis. The results showed that external locus of control had a significant influence on impulsive buying in students, with F count of 56.702 and p = 0.000 (0 <0.010). This showed a significant influence between impulsive buying of clothing products with external locus of control on students. There is a positive influence between external locus of control on impulsive buying and gender as a moderator variable. The hypothesis proposed in this study is acceptable. It is concluded that between impulsive buying and external locus of control occurs because of causality or influence each other.

Abstract

Most students carry out formal communication such as presenting assignments or expressing opinions in formal forums and there is anxiety about public speaking in their implementation. Virtual reality based on cognitive behavior therapy (VR-CBT) is one of the psychological interventions that can be applied in this study with the aim of reducing the level of anxiety in public speaking. The public speaking anxiety scale, TMAS, and psychological tests were used as measures to determine the subject's anxiety level. Collecting data using observation and interviews with subjects and related parties. This research design uses descriptive qualitative with a case study approach (case study). This study consisted of one subject who was a 20 year old sixth semester student. The VR CBT consisted of 10 sessions (+60 minutes / session). The data analysis technique used qualitative data analysis. The results showed that the subject's public speaking anxiety level decreased. That is, VR CBT is effective in reducing the level of public speaking anxiety.

Abstract

Perilaku belanja online ini menjadi gaya baru dalam hidup masyarakat di era digital saat ini. Bahkan gaya hidup ini berkembang pesat selama masa pandemi COVID 19. Dengan hanya menunggu di rumah seeorang dapat memesan barang dan belanja dengan mudah hanya melalui sebuah aplikasi. Perilaku seseorang seperti ini akhrnya dikenal dengan istilah perilaku rebahan. Maksudnya hanya sambil rebahan saja di tempat tidur atau di rumah seseorang bisa melakukan aktivitas apa saja yang biasanya hanya dilakukan di luar rumah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana perilaku belanja online ini berkembang di kalangan mahasiswa yang merupakan bagian dari generasi rebahan tersebut. Perilaku belanja online ini akan dianalisis melalui aspek kognitif, afektif, dan konatif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatitf. Informan dipilih melalui teknik snowball sampling dan alat pengumpul datanya adalah observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa perilaku belanja online dilihat dari aspek kognitif memperlihatkan bahwa semua informan memiliki ketertarikan yang besar terhadap aplikasi belanja online yang ada. Hal itu dibuktikan dengan pengetahuan dan pengalaman yang cukup baik dalam berbelanja secara online. Dari segi afektif, semua informan yang melakukan belanja online merasa puas dalam melakukan transaksi selama ini. menurut mereka belanja secara online sangat mudah, cepat, dan menyenangkan. hal itu ditunjukan dengan rasa puas terhadap proses dan produk-produk yang diterima. Selanjutnya dari aspek konatif, dengan alasan kepuasan dan kemudahan tersebut maka hampir semua kegiatan belanja di lakukan secara online. Temuan ini juga menjelaskan bahwa belanja online dikalangan mahasiswa adalah bagian dari gaya hidup. Karena belanja online dapat memberikan kepuasan secara psikologis dan sosial. Dengan demikian menjadi generasi rebahan bukan hal yang negatif karena menurut mereka perilaku tersebut sesuai dengan perkembangan zamannya.

Abstract

This article aims to present how the study of Minangkabau history can be utilized as a tool to enhance student motivation for learning. The research was conducted at the West Sumatra Islamic Institute (IAI Sumbar). A qualitative methodology was employed in this study to assess the extent to which students' understanding of the historical experiences and perceptions relating to the study of history impacts their motivation to learn. Participants in this research were students at IAI Sumatera Barat who were engaged in the study of Minangkabau history. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews and participatory observations. The research findings indicate that the study of Minangkabau history has a positive impact on student motivation to learn. It was observed that a deep understanding of the cultural heritage and the struggles of their ancestors in the historical study has ignited a sense of pride and cultural identity among the students. This, in turn, has sparked their interest in delving deeper into the learning materials and broadening their knowledge of local history and culture. Furthermore, the study of history is also regarded as a source of inspiration in overcoming academic challenges and cultivating perseverance in learning. In conclusion, this research suggests that the use of Minangkabau history studies as a pedagogical approach plays a significant role in building student motivation to learn at IAI Sumatera Barat.

Abstract

Prophetic leadership is widely discussed and has concepts up to transcendence. Prophetic that is oriented towards leadership during the time of the Prophet and Khulafaur Rashidin with success scores. Exemplary and justice were felt in the leadership of the prophet and khuafaur rasyidin. Leadership is carried out well because of the clear foundation of Islamic teachings about life. Internally, especially for the Indonesian people. The prophetic leadership model has not been used as the main reference. The values and morals that are created are still limited to textual words. Content that does not necessarily use the Prophet's leadership values as a reference. This is found in various regions in Indonesia itself. In fact, the various problems faced by the Indonesian people are very varied. So it is necessary to study how the form of leadership shifted from the Caliphate period to the Modern period in Indonesia. The aim of this research is to analyze the shift in forms of leadership from the Khilafah period to the Modern period in Indonesia. The research method used in this research is a library approach. Research objects consist of 2, namely formal objects and material objects. The data analysis technique uses a "qualitative" analysis strategy, this strategy means that the analysis starts from the data and leads to general conclusions. The results of this research show that there has been a shift in the form of prophetic leadership from the caliphate period to the modern era in Indonesia, due to political and economic interests.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini merupakan program dari Dosen Institut Agama Islam Sumatera Barat dalam mengabdikan diri kepada masyarakat serta berbagi keilmuan. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada masyarakat Nagari Kuranji Hulu Sungai Sirah Kecamatan Sungai Geringging Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan hasil jual beli dan usaha masyarakat kecil, sehingga banyak diminati oleh masyarakat di era milenial sekarang. Metode penyampaian materi pengabdian dalam bentuk ceramah dan diskusi dengan dukungan projektor, Laptop dan Powerpoint untuk persentasi materi dari narasumber. Hasil pengabdian ini dapat disimpulkan, bahwa pemahaman materi yang disampaikan oleh narasumber dari 4 orang, maka 30% merasa puas dan 70% merasa sangat puas. Sedangkan dari segi motivasi peningkatan usaha, 80% masyarakat ingin memodifikasi jualannya untuk lebih baik sekali,12% masyarakat ingin meningkatkan usaha kepada online dan 8% masyarakat tetap dengan jualan sebelumnya. Hal ini, berdasarkan pemahaman masyarakat yang kurang memahami dalam penggunaan internet, sosial media maupun gadjet.

Abstract

Autism is a disorder classified based on a specific set of behaviors related to social communication and the type of behavior that is restricted or repetitive. Because this limited and repetitive behavior makes children with autism experience difficulties in their daily lives, namely a lack of independent ability. This research aims to determine the parenting patterns used by parents who have children with autism as well as the inhibiting and encouraging factors experienced by parents in forming the independence of children with autism. This study uses a qualitative method. The research subjects were parents of children with autism whose independent abilities were quite good. Data collection uses observation, interviews and documentation methods. The results of the research show that the parenting style applied by the research subjects tends to be authoritative parenting. This is characterized by providing direction and guidance from parents. Parents also provide opportunities for children to develop and direct themselves to be more responsible with their behavior. This is proven by parents not immediately helping children when they experience difficulties but rather parents giving directions first. Parents provide rewards and punishment to develop independence in children. In addition, there is parental control that is not rigid and parents are consistent in working on independence for children with autism.
