Abstract

ABSTRACTBacteria commonly used as an indicator of microbiological food is Escherichia coli (E. coli). Standardization from Ministry of Health requires that E. coli in food should be zero per gram offood. The purpose of this study was to find the E. coli bacterial contamination in food and beverageon food vendors on educational environments Muhammadiyah Limau, South Jakarta Year 2015.This study used an analytical method with cross-sectional study design. To see the relationshipbetween the characteristics handlers, food and beverage handling and sanitation facilities with E.coli bacteria contamination in 37 (total) samples in the area of research. The results of this study showed E. coli contamination in food and beverage snacks in educationalenvironments Muhammadiyah Lemons, South Jakarta. Snack foods which contaminated were 15samples (48,4%) and which were not 16 samples (51,6 %). Contamination on drinks were twosamples (33.3 %) and the amount of 4 samples (66.7 %).Statistical analysis showed that the variables have a relationship of variable storage of food, cooking processing, and sanitary facilities. Variables which unrelated were gender, education, knowledge, behavior, and choice of materials, processing, food and beverage presentation.Multivariate logistic regression analysis proved the material was the most powerful predictor ofsanitation facilities, meaning that poor sanitation increase the risk of E. coli contamination of8.685 (95% CI: 1.376 to 35.968). Health Officer South Jakarta should disseminate the standard of hygiene in collaboration with Fikes UHAMKA to food vendor on food processing to avoid the impact of contamination of E.coli health.ABSTRAKBakteri yang biasa digunakan sebagai indikator mikrobiologis makanan adalah Escherichia coli (E.coli).

Abstract

Background Breastfeeding is vital for the health of both mothers and infants. However, only 51.5% of infants under six months are exclusively breastfed in Indonesia. Research has consistently demonstrated the positive impact of engaging fathers in breastfeeding programs, leading to improved breastfeeding outcomes. However, lactation education activities for fathers in Indonesia are limited. By measuring the impact of the intervention on fathers' health literacy and self-efficacy, this research aims to contribute to enhancing breastfeeding practices and support in Indonesia. Methods This quasi-experimental study aimed to evaluate the impact of online lactation classes on breastfeeding health literacy and fathers' self-efficacy. Participants (N=35) were randomly assigned to the treatment or control group, and pre-and post-tests were conducted. The intervention group received two-day online lactation education via Zoom, while the control group received a breastfeeding e-poster on WhatsApp. Data analysis involved univariate analysis for variable characterization and bivariate analysis using statistical tests such as Paired Sample T-Test, Wilcoxon, and Mann-Whitney tests, with a significance level of p<0.05. Results The study's findings demonstrate the efficacy of the online lactation classes in the intervention group compared to the control group, as evidenced by significant improvements in fathers' health literacy (p=0.035) and self-efficacy (p=0.005) in supporting exclusive breastfeeding by their wives. Conclusions The research found that online breastfeeding classes for fathers positively affect their health literacy and self-efficacy in supporting breastfeeding. This approach was more effective than electronic posters via a WhatsApp group in increasing health literacy, but the signs positively affected fathers' self-confidence.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how dramaturgy is in the self-presentation of smokers. The research method uses a qualitative with an interpretive approach. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews, observations, FGDs, and literature studies. Miles & Huberman interactive model data analysis technique. The results showed that smokers among teenagers almost entirely did dramaturgy where there was a difference in smoking behavior on the front stage and back stage. Smokers apply Goffman's self-presentation, for example on the back stage they smoke, but on the front stage when dealing with teachers/parents/leaders/employers/lover – they do not smoke. The self-presentation of an adult smoker who has fully demonstrated himself as a true smoker places himself on the front stage as well as the back stage, using self-promotional tactics and even exaggeration. However, smokers among teenagers, will make a disclaimer by trying to deny and hide their identity as a smoker if they are at home with their nuclear family, namely father-mother-brother-sister. However, on the back stage, the teen smokers both carried out a self promotion strategy as a technique for presenting themselves by opening themselves up, especially when hanging out with their high-frequency friends.

Abstract

Background: In Indonesia, the prevalence of dyslipidemia increases from 9.3% in the 25—34 age group to 15.5% in the 55—64 age group. As individuals age, they become more susceptible to degenerative diseases, including dyslipidemia. This susceptibility is associated with the aging process, which involves declining cellular function, reduced immune system efficiency, and elevated blood lipid levels in older adults. This study aimed to identify risk factors for dyslipidemia, particularly among the elderly. Methods: This study employed a literature review approach following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines. A total of 40,315 articles were identified using the search keywords “dyslipidemia in the elderly” or “dislipidemia pada lansia.” The inclusion criteria consisted of original research articles that specifically measured cholesterol levels in elderly participants. After screening and eligibility assessment, six articles were identified as relevant to this research objective. Results: The analysis of the selected studies revealed that risk factors for dyslipidemia in the elderly include menopause, unhealthy lifestyle habits (such as smoking, low physical activity, and poor dietary patterns with low fiber intake), diabetes mellitus, and obesity. Conclusion: This review identified several risk factors for dyslipidemia in the elderly, including age, gender, menopause, unhealthy lifestyle behaviors, diabetes mellitus, and obesity.
