Abstract

Masalah sampah merupakan masalah yang sangat serius. Pertambahan jumlah penduduk mengakibatkan pula kenaikan jumlah sampah. Dengan meningkatnya jumlah sampah secara otomatis kebutuhan akan tempat penampungan sampah menjadi meningkat. Sampah yang dibiarkan menumpuk akan menimbulkan banyak permasalahan, seperti menimbulkan penyakit, menimbulkan bau tidak sedap dan mengurangi estetika. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahun bagi santri di Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MADIN) Al Mishbah Palembang agar dapat mengelolah sampah lebih bijak. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan oleh Tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dari Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya, dan para santri serta masyarakat disekitar Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MADIN) Al Mishbah Palembang sebagai pesertanya. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini yaitu metode ceramah, diskusi dan demo pemilahan sampah. Hasil dari kegiatan ini para santri dan masyarakat sekitar sudah mengerti cara memilah sampah dengan baik, dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan dan pengolahan sampah yang bermanfaat. Hasilnya akan berdampak dengan kesadaran  mereka akan pentingnya lingkungan bersih mulai dari sekarang.

Abstract

Education is something important for human life. Islamic boarding schools are religious, educational facilities, so complete facilities are needed to meet student's academic and non-academic needs. Costs play an essential role in project implementation. Therefore, cost budget planning must be designed and prepared well based on an estimation concept to produce precise and economical cost estimates. The Cost Budget Plan calculates the costs required to implement the project to determine the price of materials and wages, as well as other costs required in implementing the project in detail. The Girls' Dormitory Construction Project at the At-Tauhid Sriwijaya Islamic Boarding School is one of the construction projects whose value has experienced a relatively high rate of increase compared to civil construction and other unique construction. This activity was carried out to improve services at the At-Tauhid Islamic Boarding School because the number of students is increasing yearly. By providing an estimate of the cost of building a girls' dormitory at the AtTauhid Islamic boarding school. This aims to make it easier for the At-Tauhid Islamic boarding school to calculate the draft budget for constructing the girls' dormitory. The budget planning for the construction of the girls' dormitory at At-Tauhid was carried out based on the plan drawings that had been made previously. The community service method in this activity uses the Service Learning method. This activity's result is to  facilitate the plan to build a girls' dormitory at the At-Tauhid Islamic Boarding School so that it can be realizedmore quickly. This cost budget plan is made with efficient and effective cost estimates. In order to increase the effectiveness of community service, further research suggestions are actors that affect the cost of building a girls' dormitory, as well as developing a model that is more effective in estimating the cost of building a girls' dormitory.

Abstract

Clean water is a need for every living creature. Clean water is water that physically looks clear and has no smell that is used for daily purposes and can be cooked to make drinking water. In carrying out daily activities, humans need clean water. One of them is in teaching and learning activities at an institution. To ensure comfort in the teaching and learning process, it is necessary to plan the consumption pattern for clean water needs in lecture buildings, one of which is on the Sriwijaya State Polytechnic Teaching Industry campus. Considering the number of academics who will actively carry out activities on this campus, it is necessary to study the planning for clean water usage to obtain water consumption patterns. The research was carried out by taking samples of two buildings, namely buildings E I and E II which were planned as Workshop lecture buildings. Based on calculations and data analysis for planning clean water consumption patterns at the Sriwijaya State Polytechnic Teaching Factory campus, it is 7200 liters/day or 0.083 liters/second for Building E I and 7200 liters/day or 0.083 liters/second for Building E II.  The reservoir volume is planned with a capacity of 18 m3 and the tank volume with a capacity of 1 m3.

Abstract

Humans have utilized tidal events at river mouths for a long time. The major benefit is the use of raw water for domestic water needs. On an average day, there will be one high tide and one low tide with a single diurnal tidal type. The utilization of surface water during tides in the Talang Kelapa sub-district of Banyuasin Regency is not optimally used, where there is a lack of adequate water sources. In addition, there has been no research on tidal water management systems in the study area. This study aims to analyze the availability of raw water, analyze the need for raw water for the daily needs of the community, evaluation a raw water system in the residential area of Kenten Laut Village so that during the dry season the need for raw water for residential households can be met. The results of the evaluation of the availability of raw water that can be utilized from the available channels (types 1, 2, 3, and 4) are 1.17 liters/second. The results of the calculation of the mainstay discharge of 1.703 liters/second with a total amount of water availability of 2.87 liters/second. While the total domestic and non-domestic water needs. While the total domestic and non-domestic water demand based on the population in 2022 is 12.99 liters/second. It can be concluded that the availability of tidal water in Kenten Laut Village has not been able to meet household water needs so alternatives are needed, namely water reservoirs, repairing damaged drainage channels, or repairing damaged drainage channels.

Abstract

The Airside is a vital area related to aircraft movement. A drainage system needs to be implemented at each airport to support airside safety. This research aims to find out the drainage system at several airports. The exploration study of the drainage system on the air side uses a qualitative method based on a systematic literature review by comparing studies obtained through Google Scholar in the 2015-2024 period. Then, the author analyzes the issues raised using GAP analysis techniques. The sample airports are Juwata Tarakan Airport, Rahadi Oesman Ketapang Airport, Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin Bima Airport, Kualanamu Deli Serdang Airport, and Husein Sastranegara Bandung Airport. This study found that several factors, including structural damage, inefficiency of channel dimensions, instability of retaining walls, lack of rain catchment areas, and accumulated sedimentation, cause the overflow of water that arises when rain occurs. Therefore, it can be concluded that the airport needs to evaluate the effectiveness of channel dimensions using hydrological and hydraulic analysis methods. In addition to evaluation, the drainage system needs to be maintained, which refers to KP 94 of 2015 and KP 326 of 2019. Drainage maintenance activities can be carried out by cleaning sedimentation, vines, grass, and sediment in the channel to save operational costs and increase the channel's life. In addition, overflows on the air side can be minimized, and the safety of flight operations can be guaranteed.

Abstract

Di Era globalisasi dan kemajuan teknologi seperti sekarang ini, industri penerbangan mengalami pertumbuhan yang signifikan. Hal ini menuntut peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan di bidang penerbangan, tidak terkecuali bagi generasi muda. Sebagai upaya untuk mempersiapkan sumber daya manusia yang kompeten di industri penerbangan, sosialisasi tentang fasilitas sisi darat dan udara menjadi penting, terutama bagi siswa/siswi di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) yang memiliki jurusan terkait penerbangan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan siswa/i SMK di Palembang mengenai industri penerbangan, memperkenalkan berbagai fasilitas sisi darat dan udara yang ada di bandar udara, serta mendorong minat siswa/i untuk berkarir di bidang penerbangan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini meliputi dua langkah diantaranya : (1) Menyusun rencana kegiatan yang mencangkup jadwal, lokasi dan durasi pelaksanaan sosialisasi dan (2) Menentukan metode pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama satu hari dan peserta akan diberikan pre-test dan post-test untuk melihat progress daya serap materi yang diberikan sebagai bahan evaluasi kedepannya. Evaluasi kegiatan akan diawali dengan pengambilan sampling populasi dari perwakilan siswa SMK sebanyak 9 orang dengan pengambilan data melalui pengisian quisioner. Data yang disajikan bersifat kuantitatif dan terukur sehingga menjadi bahan evaluasi dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan kedepannya. Pada kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan bibit unggul yang akan mengisi kebutuhan industry penerbangan di masa depan.

Abstract

Stone ash, lime, cement, or other materials can be used as fillers, which add strength and density to the asphalt concrete mixture (TotomiHardjo in Nawir, 2021). In this research, the filler used was ash from cocoa husk waste originating from cocoa farmers in Belitang, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra. The component of the cocoa plant that is widely used is the seed, while the husk is discarded as waste, so it needs to be managed further. Ash from cocoa husk contains carbon and silica (SiO2), ingredients needed for asphalt. By trying to utilize existing natural products, cocoa husk ash as a filler is expected to provide strength value to the asphalt mixture. This study used variations in asphalt content of 5.5%, 6%, and 6.5% with different variations in filler content, namely the ratio between cement (SM) and cocoa husk ash (ABK) of 6% SM: 0% ABK, 3% SM: 3% ABK, and 0% SM: 6% ABK. This study aims to determine the effect on the Marshall value of replacing filler with cocoa husk ash compared to cement. Based on the results of the Marshall test analysis, it is known that the filler composition that has the optimum value is a ratio of 0% SM to 6% ABK at an asphalt content of 6.5% with a stability value of 1759.79 kg, a flow value of 3.95 mm, a VIM value of 4.66%, a VFA value of 81.18%, a VMA value of 16.67%, and a Marshall Quotient of 444,78 kg/mm.

Abstract

Masalah sampah plastik yang terus meningkat menjadi tantangan serius bagi lingkungan, terutama karena sifatnya yang sulit terurai dan berdampak negatif dalam jangka panjang. Salah satu solusi inovatif yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengurangi dampak tersebut adalah dengan memanfaatkan sampah plastik sebagai bahan tambah dalam pembuatan batako. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji potensi pemanfaatan sampah plastik, sekaligus memberikan edukasi dan keterampilan kepada masyarakat mengenai cara pengolahannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini meliputi dua tahapan, yaitu sosialisasi dan pelatihan. Sosialisasi dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat Desa Pulokerto terhadap bahaya sampah plastik dan pentingnya pemanfaatan ulang menjadi produk yang lebih bernilai ekonomi. Selanjutnya, pelatihan difokuskan pada proses pembuatan batako dengan bahan tambahan plastik yang telah dicacah, dimulai dari pencacahan, pencampuran dengan material utama, hingga pencetakan. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa sampah plastik dapat dimanfaatkan secara efektif dalam pembuatan batako, yang tidak hanya mengurangi timbunan sampah, tetapi juga berkontribusi pada pengembangan inovasi produk ramah lingkungan di bidang konstruksi.

Abstract

The information system for storing pavement data at the airport remains manual and is currently focused on a single device. This study aims to design a website-based application for storing pavement data at the airport. With this application, it is expected to improve the service of the airport facilities unit. The data used in this study is pavement data from Yogyakarta International Airport. This study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method, utilizing the Waterfall model for the second stage, specifically the design stage, with planning tools that include flowcharts and use case diagrams. The design of this application also uses the App Sheet website using simple coding. Additionally, this application is compatible with various platforms, making it more flexible for use anywhere and at any time online. Of course, with this application, pavement data storage can be computerized properly, and it features a database that helps reduce the accumulation of documents and prevent the loss of documents in other files.
