Abstract

Dampak perubahan iklim di bidang pertanian membuat petani menggunakan pestisida kimia secara berlebihan demi meningkatkan kebutuhan produksi sehingga keamanan pangan terabaikan. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk menambah pengetahuan, dan ketrampilan para petani dalam membuat asap cair sebagai biopestisida alami dengan memanfaatkan limbah tempurung kelapa. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini meliputi a) penyuluhan, b) pengembangan dan pembuatan alat asap cair, c) pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan asap cair. Hasil dari kegiatan adalah menambah pengetahuan dan ketrampilan petani tentang hama penyakit tanaman serta cara penanggulanganya, terciptanya instalasi pembuatan asap cair serta menambah ketrampilan petani dalam membuat biopestisida berbahan limbah tempurung kelapa untuk mencapai tujuan kegiatan dalam upaya penerapan sistem pertanian yang berkelanjutan

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the role of kiai as a central figure in leadership and management of education in Islamic boarding schools, as well as its impact on the integration of Islamic values ??in the education system at SMAS Al-Hikmah 2 Sirampog Brebes. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data is obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation to explore the dynamics of leadership and management of Islamic boarding schools. The results of the study indicate that kiai play a dominant role in strategic decision-making and the development of the school's vision and mission. Although the principal is responsible for administration, long-term policies still depend on the direction of the kiai. The kiai also succeeded in integrating Islamic values ??into school activities, such as congregational prayer and religious studies, which support the formation of student character. However, there is tension between the flexible tradition of Islamic boarding schools and more structured and modern managerial demands. This study provides theoretical contributions to the development of charismatic and spiritual leadership models in Islamic boarding schools, as well as practical contributions for education managers in developing a managerial system that accommodates spiritual values ??and Islamic boarding school traditions, but still prioritizes efficiency and professionalism.

Abstract

Plant tissue culture is an important biotechnology technique that requires both conceptual understanding and practical skills. However, learning activities related to plant tissue culture in higher education are often constrained by limited laboratory facilities, resulting in learning processes that rely mainly on theoretical explanations. One critical stage in plant tissue culture is acclimatization, which determines the survival of plantlets during the transition from in vitro to ex vitro conditions. This study aimed to develop an acclimatization kit as a learning medium for the Plant Tissue Culture course in the Biology Education Program at UIN Sunan Kudus. The research employed a Research and Development approach using the 4D model, implemented up to the develop stage. The acclimatization kit was designed using orchid plantlets and simple planting media to support hands-on learning activities. The results indicated that the acclimatization kit was highly feasible in terms of learning aspects, design, and usability. Students responded positively, showing increased motivation, engagement, and understanding of the acclimatization process. In conclusion, the developed acclimatization kit provides an effective and practical learning medium that supports experiential learning in plant tissue culture courses and offers a solution to overcome laboratory limitations in higher education institutions.
