Abstract

This study aims to introduce an investigation method to solve mathematical problems using the Japanese anime series Detective Conan, while the spesific purpose is to introduce students to problem solving method that they need to understand based on the information provided and manage the information based on their abilities.  The method used in this research is classroom action research by showing one episode of the Detective Conan anime, after that organized several groups to test each group could solve the challenge quiz within 30 minutes and the results of the analysis of work based on cognitive function. The results showed that the mean duration of group investigation quiz was not significantly different from 30 minutes. In addition, based on the mean assessment of the results of the work there are two results, namely there are differences in values based on groups and no differences in values based on cognitive function..

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to compile a model of economic growth in Karo District with stochasticity so that it can predict the amount of economic growth in the future Karo District. The research method with data analysis uses a model that was built to be applied to analyze economic growth in Karo District and compose a model with mathematical assumptions that will be applied into the model.The results of the study are the estimation of the Karo Regency GRDP based on the constant 2010 prices according to the forthcoming expenditure of karo district in 2019, which is 14.22521 trillion Rupiahs and a year later or unknown is 14.72309 trillion Rupiahs and the estimation of the amount of economic growth in the Karo district in 2019 to come at 4.95%.A year later the estimated economic growth of Karo district was estimated at 3.49%. Conclusion The estimated value of population growth from the model made in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 is close to the actual population growth value with a MAPE value of 4.9590%.

Abstract

The self-dual cyclic code is a cyclic code where its dual is the same as the cyclic code. This paper will discuss the necessary and sufficient conditions for the non-trivial existence a self-dual cyclic code over a finite chain ring. With this necessary and sufficient conditions, an algorithm is constructed about the construction of a self-dual cyclic code over a finite chain ring with length n. The polynomial factorization x^n-1 over finite field F_q is required in this algorithm steps. This is because each generator element of cyclic self-dual code over finite chain ring corresponds to an ideal from ring to ring F_q [x]/(x^n-1) which is a factorization from x^n-1 over finite field to F_q.

Abstract

After it was found the general solution of by radicals of polynomial up to degree four, appear a problem that there is no general solution by radicals of polynomial degree five. Galois theory had appeared as the answereof this problem and it has given a big role in development of mathematics in particular Algebra and Number Theory. To determine Galois group from a rational monic polynomial f(x) with integer coefficients of degree n is determining automorphism group from roots of f(x). Therefore, Galois Group f(x)is a subgroup of Sn. Method of Stauduhar as one manner to determining Galois Group f(x), that is finding the least maximal transitive subgroup that act on roots of f(x).In this paper will be studied method of Stauduhar using Dedekind’s Theorem.

Abstract

Aljabar sebagai salah satu bidang kajian dalam Matematika belum diajarkan dalam konsep tertentu dalam pembelajaran sekolah dasar, namun konsep operasi hitung dan sifat-sifatnya sudah diajarkan. Pembelajaran aljabar membutuhkan kemampuan memahami konsep, simbol-simbol, operasi dan aturan-aturannya. Proses ini mengeksplorasi penalaran aljabar yang di dalamnya memuat keterampilan memahami pola-pola dan membuat generalisasinya. Pengenalan penalaran aljabar dalam tingkat sekolah dasar memerlukan kompetensi baru guru karena sebagian besar guru ini memiliki sedikit pengalaman dengan aspek penalaran aljabar yang kaya dan terhubung. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperkenalkan dan menerapkan penalaran aljabar sesuai dengan materi yang sudah diajarkan di sekolah dasar sehingga dapat meningkatkan minat dan motivasi belajar Matematika. Penelitian ini menggabungkan kerangka poin dan level penalaran aljabar bersesuaian dengan objek penelitian. Penyampaian materi dan soal akan mendorong siswa untuk memahami dan mengaplikasi penalaran aljabar dalam memahami lebih dalam materi Matematika yang sudah dipelajari sebelumnya.
