Abstract

Promotion is one of the rights and obligations of lecturers for the performance burden that has been carried out by lecturers in order to implement the basic values of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The lecturer ranking system is implemented based on the lecturer's performance in teaching, research, and service that has been carried out. The lecturer rank system is implemented through a fairly long process and verification, so that the creation of a good ranking system will provide good added value in higher education services to the performance of lecturers for promotion. In this study, optimization of the lecturer's functional position promotion system will be carried out. The result achieved is a lecturer rating system by calculating the weight of credit scores in order to obtain a recommendation for promotion of lecturers for functional positions in universities and based on the Customer Satisfaction Index from a survey conducted on 50 respondents showing a score of 76.12%. It states that the rating system is at the level of satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to identify factors that influence young voters' preferences in the 2024 presidential election in Medan City. There are 12 independent variables used in this study, namely socio-culture, age, education, track record, policy, political issues, political interest, campaign, social media, trust, candidate quality, and debate results. The dependent variable is voter preference, with a value of 0 for not voting and 1 for voting. This study used binary logistic regression method with purposive sampling technique to collect data from 271 respondents of young voters in Medan City. The results show that the independent variables jointly affect the dependent variable, as indicated by the G-test value of 85.909 which is greater than the value of χ_((0,05;12))^2(21.026). Through the Wald test, it is known that there are 6 independent variables that have a significant effect on the dependent variable, namely socio-culture (9.011), age (11.339), track record (4.638), political issues (4.403), campaign (4.165) and debate results (13.901), where these values are greater than the value of χ_((0,05;1))^2(3.841). While the remaining 6 variables, namely education (1.203), policy (0.072), political interest (1.435), social media (0.128), trust (1.557), and candidate quality (1.891) have no significant effect on the dependent variable, because the Wald test values of the six variables are smaller than the value of χ_((0,05;1))^2(3.841).

Abstract

Abstract: Finding the shortest route is a problem to find a path that connects two nodes with the least amount of weight. Many methods are used in finding the shortest route. One of the methods used is Dijkstra's algorithm. Dijkstra's algorithm is an excellent algorithm used in determining the shortest route from a startingpoint toan end point (destination). In this study, the determination of the shortest route from each kelurahan in the Medan Baru District to the nearest Covid-19 referral hospital can be searched maximally using the Dijkstra algorithm with the distance taken through the google maps application. However, there are some limitations that are limitations in this study. The drawbacks are traffic jams, traffic lights, one-way streets. This cannot be ignored on routes in urban areas. In the future, researchers will look for optimization of determining the shortest route by including some of the problem constraints that occur. The Dijsktra algorithm is an application that must be modernized for more complex constraints.

Abstract

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, many individuals have turned to low-risk investment options. Common choices include gold, stocks, deposits, and foreign currencies, with gold emerging as a particularly popular investment. This study aims to forecast gold prices using linear regression, nonlinear regression, and ARIMA models, with the most accurate model determined by the lowest Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). Gold price data was sourced from www.kitco.com. The MAPE for the Linear Regression model was 4.362, the Nonlinear Regression model 3.3428, and the Time Series (ARIMA) model 2.727. Consequently, the ARIMA model demonstrated superior accuracy in forecasting gold prices compared to the Linear and Nonlinear Regression models.

Abstract

Crime or criminality in Indonesia is rampant in both print and television media. We can see news about crime almost every day. Basically, every individual will be influenced by several factors, both internal and internal, external causes of a person committing a crime, including population, education, morality, poverty and unemployment. In this case, a statistical analysis will be studied that can detect the magnitude of these factors, both directly and indirectly, on the crime rate. One of the statistical analyzes that can be used to analyze causal relationships between variables is path analysis, which is a direct development of the multiple regression form with the aim of providing estimates of the level of importance (magnitude) and significance (significance) in a variable set of causal relationships. hypothetical consequences. From the research results for West Sumatra Province, it was concluded that there was no large influence of variable X on Y

Abstract

Choosing an e-wallet is an important decision for students at the University of North Sumatra (USU) because it affects their financial management. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is used to evaluate and compare available e-wallets based on criteria that are relevant to students. This method allows students to determine the e-wallet that best suits their needs and priorities. This study shows that AHP is a useful tool to help students choose the right e-wallet.Keyword: e-wallet, management, Analytical Hierarchy Process, priorities

Abstract

Sibolangit Village is known as a tourist village because it has a lot of natural potential that can be developed into a tourist destination in Deli Serdang Regency. Some of the tourism potential in Sibolangit Village includes the Taman Wisata Alam Sibolangit, Tangga Seribu, Uruk Sikuda-kuda, Taman Pekabar Injil Pertama GBKP, Goa Sejarah, Pemandian Alam Sibolangit. However, the management of tourist attractions in Sibolangit Village is not yet optimal because human resources in terms of expertise and skills in the field of tourism are still minimal, causing the tourist attraction to be unattractive and ultimately the number of visitors does not experience a significant increase. Carry out community service activities by holding training to improve skills in managing tourism businesses, marketing and customer service in Sibolangit Village. This training also covers aspects of sustainability, making the community the guardian and custodian of local heritage. Apart from that, a Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) will be formed as a representative of the Sibolangit Village community in developing tourism.
