Abstract

The introduction of New Student Admission Patterns (PMB) through Past Learning (RPL) is an innovative approach in the higher education system to improve the quality of student admissions. RPL recognizes the experience and knowledge gained from non-formal and informal education, thereby providing opportunities for individuals with diverse backgrounds to continue their studies. This activity was carried out by the Socialization Team of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Indragiri Islamic University (UNISI). The socialization was carried out at PP Nur Darissalam, Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The methods used are presentations, interactive discussions, and question and answer sessions. This service aims to analyze the effectiveness of RPL in the PMB process, as well as its impact on student academic success. The methods used include socialization and analysis of student admissions data. The results show that implementing RPL can increase the accessibility of higher education and encourage diversity among new students. In addition, RPL contributes to the development of students' soft skills and learning readiness. This research provides recommendations for educational institutions in optimizing student admissions through RPL so that they can create an inclusive and competitive learning environment.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the intensive halaqah method as an effort to strengthen Qur'an memorization among students at Jilussalamah al-Islami Islamic Boarding School. The background of this research arises from a common phenomenon in pesantren, where some students struggle to maintain consistency in memorization due to weak time management, limited methods, and insufficient personal guidance. The intensive halaqah method was chosen because of its advantages in creating a conducive, systematic learning environment and emphasizing collaboration between teachers and students. This study employed a qualitative-descriptive approach using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The research subjects were tahfiz students who participated in intensive halaqah sessions for one semester. The findings revealed that this method enhanced the quality of memorization, accelerated target achievement, and strengthened the students' spiritual motivation. Furthermore, the strong social interaction within the halaqah fostered a sense of solidarity and mutual support among the students. These findings highlight the significance of methodological innovations in Qur'anic learning to produce proficient and ethically grounded Qur'an memorizers.

Abstract

The problem behind this PkM is the presence of rumah tahfiz which are scattered in almost all educational institutions, both formal and non-formal. Its presence requires proper management in order to produce good output. The aim of PkM is to provide knowledge about managerial management of the rumah tahfiz. The method applied through three stages, socialization, training and mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation. The location of the rumah tahfiz PkM activity is in Bente Village, Mandah District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau. The results of activities regarding training and mentoring for the management of the rumah tahfiz can increase knowledge about the management of the rumah tahfiz for its managers starting from the Management of rumah tahfiz management both from a theoretical and practical aspect.
