Abstract

Introduction: Cervical/cervical cancer is a malignant tumor that grows in the cervix/cervix. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women with 570,000 new cases in 2018 representing 6.6% of all female cancers. Based on the initial survey data that the researchers conducted in October 2022, there were 3 people who were interested in having an IVA examination, and 12 people who were not interested in having an IVA examination. Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine factors related to WUS interest in IVA Examination at the Helvetia Public Health Center in 2022. Methods: This study used an analytic survey design with a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study were all married WUS in the working area of the Helvetia Health Center in 2022 with a total of 4,746 people. The sample of this research is 98 people. The sampling technique is Simple Random Sampling. Methods of data analysis by means of univariate and bivariate analysis with chi-square test. Results: Based on the results of the study of 98 WUS, it was shown that there was a relationship between attitude and interest in carrying out IVA examinations with a p-value = 0.023, there was a relationship between husband's support and an interest in carrying out IVA examinations with a p-value = 0.009, and there was a relationship between distance from health facilities and interest perform an IVA examination with a p-value = 0.017. Conclusion: The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between attitude, husband's support, and distance to health facilities with an interest in conducting VIA examinations at the Helvetia Health Center in 2019. It is recommended for health workers to conduct cervical cancer counseling and invite WUS who have had sexual intercourse for detection early cervical cancer by doing IVA.

Abstract

Background; A healthy pregnancy and a safe physical condition as well as a satisfying emotional state for both mother and fetus. Nutritional problems are an indirect cause of maternal and child deaths which are actually preventable. The low nutritional status of pregnant women during pregnancy can result in some adverse impacts on the mother and baby, including babies born with low birth weight. Objective; the research was to determine the relationship between nutritional status and newborn weight at the Tio Siringo Ringo Clinic. Method; This type of research is an analytic survey using a cross sectional design. The sample of this research was taken the whole population (total sampling) as many as 30 people. Results; cross-tabulation research between pregnant women Lila and baby weight at the Tio Seringgo Ringo Clinic in 2023. That out of 30 respondents (100%). Among them Lila pregnant women who lack chronic energy totaling 3 respondents (10.0%), with LBW 2 respondents (6.7%), and not LBW 1 respondent (3.3). Pregnant women Lila did not lack chronic energy as many as 27 respondents (90.0%), with LBW baby weight as much as 1 respondent (3.3%), and not LBW 26 respondents (86.7%). Conclusion; research there is a relationship Lila Pregnant Women with Baby Weight. With p = 0.001 <0.05 where from 30 respondents. Lila Pregnant women lacked chronic energy as many as 3 respondents (10.0%), Lila Pregnant women did not lack energy as many as 27 respondents (90.0%). It is recommended for pregnant women to increase their knowledge about nutrition fulfillment during pregnancy.

Abstract

Introduction: Breast engorgement is a damming that occurs due to the obstruction of venous flow or lymphatic ducts caused by the accumulation of breast milk. According to the WHO, in 2021, data revealed that around 17,230,142 mothers faced breastfeeding problems, consisting of sore nipples (56.4%), breast engorgement (36.12%), and mastitis (7.5%). A preliminary survey conducted by researchers in October 2023 identified eight postpartum mothers experiencing breast engorgement. The research objective is to determine the relationship between breastfeeding frequency and breastfeeding technique with breast engorgement in postpartum mothers at Alisha Clinic Medan in 2023. The research method employed is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach. The population includes all postpartum mothers at Alisha Clinic Medan, totalling 34 individuals. The sampling technique used is the total population, where all 34 postpartum mothers experiencing breast engorgement are taken as samples, using both primary and secondary data. Results: Based on the research findings, out of 34 respondents, 13 (38.2%) had optimal breastfeeding frequency, while 21 (61.8%) had suboptimal breastfeeding frequency. Additionally, 10 (29.4%) practised correct breastfeeding techniques, while 24 (70.6%) used incorrect techniques. Furthermore, 20 (58.8%) experienced breast engorgement, and 14 (41.2%) did not. The chi-square test results indicate a significant relationship between breastfeeding frequency and breast engorgement (p = 0.012 < α 0.05) and between breastfeeding technique and breast engorgement (p = 0.005 < α 0.05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between breastfeeding frequency and technique with breast engorgement.

Abstract

Kehamilan dengan resiko tinggi adalah kehamilan yang dapat menimbulkan dampak pada ibu hamil dan bayi menjadi sakit dan bahkan meninggal sebelum kelahiran terjadi. Penyebab Tidak Langsung Kehamilan resiko tinggi dengan istilah 4T dengan rincian jarak kelahiran <24 bulan, umur ibu diatas 35 tahun , jumlah anak yang terlalu banyak (>3 orang) dan melahirkan usia < 20 tahun. Faktor resiko semakin tinggi jika disertai 3 terlambat yaitu Terlambat Mengambil Keputusan, terlambat sampai ke Fasilitas Kesehatan dan Terlambat mendapat penanganan. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan edukasi atau penyuluhan terhadap ibu hamil tentang kehamilan resiko tinggi, agar dapat mencegah terjadinya kehamilan resiko tinggi pada ibu baik dalam kondisi kehamilan sekarang atau selanjutnya. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Klinik Bersalinan Bidan Herlina Di kota Tanjungbalai dilaksanaka dalam bentuk penyuluhan dengan metode ceramah dan tanya jawab. Serta dilakukan pre test dan post test sebagai evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil penyuluhan ini terjadinya peningkatan pengetahuan dibuktikan dengan hasil dari post test terhadap 12 ibu hamil didapatkan sebanyak 75% ibu hamil pengetahuannya baik, ibu hamil pengetahuannya cukup sebanyak 16,6% dan ibu berpengetahuan kurang sebanyak 8,4 %. Kesimpulan Melalui penyuluhan ini pengetahuan ibu hamil mengenai risiko tinggi kehamilan meningkat secara signifikan. Ibu hamil menjadi lebih sadar akan faktor risiko Tinggi kehamilan, tanda-tanda bahaya kehamilan dan pentingnya pemeriksaan kehamilan rutin.
