Abstract

In response to the increasing demand for effective English language communication skills in the pharmaceutical domain, this study explores the integration of digital tools within pharmacy education programs. The globalized nature of the pharmaceutical industry necessitates a thorough examination of innovative strategies to enhance language proficiency among students. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the research combines quantitative assessments and qualitative analyses to investigate the impact of various digital tools on language learning outcomes, student engagement, and the practical application of acquired skills.The quantitative component involves evaluating language proficiency levels through surveys and assessments, providing a quantitative measure of the effectiveness of digital tools. Concurrently, qualitative analyses, including interviews and focus group discussions, aim to uncover insights into learner experiences, preferences, and the challenges associated with integrating digital tools into language learning curricula within pharmacy education programs. The study's significance lies in its potential to inform educators, curriculum developers, and policymakers about the benefits of leveraging digital tools for English language learning in pharmacy education. By tailoring strategies to enhance communication skills, the research seeks to prepare future pharmacy professionals to navigate the diverse linguistic landscape of the pharmaceutical industry. The findings contribute to the ongoing discourse on innovative teaching methodologies, providing actionable insights for stakeholders committed to fostering language proficiency and effective communication in pharmacy education programs.

Abstract

Perkembangan bahasa pada anak balita adalah tahapan kritis dalam pembentukan fondasi kognitif dan sosial mereka. Dalam konteks ini, peran orang tua menjadi sangat signifikan dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung perkembangan bahasa anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan meningkatkan pemahaman orang tua tentang peran mereka dalam memfasilitasi perkembangan linguistik pada anak balita. Dengan mengintegrasikan teori perkembangan bahasa, keterlibatan orang tua, dan teori komunikasi efektif, pendekatan ini berfokus pada pemberdayaan orang tua melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat.Melalui workshop, seminar, dan pelatihan, orang tua diberdayakan untuk memahami tahapan perkembangan bahasa anak dan menerapkan strategi efektif dalam interaksi sehari-hari. Teori interaksi orang tua-anak diintegrasikan untuk menyoroti dampak positif interaksi tersebut terhadap penguasaan bahasa anak. Teori pembentukan lingkungan bahasa digunakan untuk membimbing orang tua dalam menciptakan atmosfer yang merangsang perkembangan bahasa di rumah. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan literasi bahasa orang tua, memperkuat keterlibatan mereka dalam mendukung pertumbuhan bahasa anak, dan pada akhirnya, menciptakan lingkungan keluarga yang mendukung pengembangan bahasa anak balita. Keseluruhan, penelitian ini tidak hanya berusaha untuk memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman orang tua tetapi juga berfokus pada pemberdayaan mereka sebagai agen utama dalam mencapai perkembangan linguistik yang optimal pada anak balita.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah memberikan edukasi kepada orangtua untuk memfasilitasi perkembangan linguistik pada anak di lingkungan Padang Bulan Medan sehingga anak dapat melakukan percakapan dengan Bahasa yang diajarkan oleh orangtua dan anak mengerti dan dapat menguasi kosa kata. Melalui workshop, seminar, dan pelatihan, orang tua diberdayakan untuk memahami tahapan perkembangan bahasa anak dan menerapkan strategi efektif dalam interaksi sehari-hari. Abstract

This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a field research study design. This research aims to determine the planning, implementation and evaluation related to fostering students' religious character through Spiritual Islamic activities (Islamic Spirituality) at State Senior High School 1, Tebing Tinggi District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. This research obtained information by collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation from primary and secondary data sources. Primary data comes from several informants as sources for interview activities, namely the principal, deputy principal, Islamic Spirituality teacher/counsel, Guidance Counseling teacher and representatives of several students who actively take part in Islamic Spirituality activities at State Senior High School 1 Tebing Tinggi District Serdang Bedagai Regency. Data was analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and making conclusions/verification. Research data is checked for validity using extended observations, increasing persistence, triangulation and using reference materials.The results of this research show that 1) Planning for Islamic Spiritual activities in developing the religious character of students at State Senior High School 1, Tebing Tinggi District, namely: planning related to schedules, work programs/activities, materials, methods and infrastructure that support Spiritual activities Islam. 2) Implementation of Islamic Spiritual activities in developing the religious character of students at State High School 1, Tebing Tinggi District, namely: Opening of Islamic Spiritual activities by the moderator, followed by reading the holy verses of the Koran, taking attendance of students, then the main activity in delivering the material by Islamic Spiritual Guide / murabbi. followed by discussion based on the theme/discussion material, ending with reflections and closing. Some of the processes include: The coach provides a positive example (exemplary) to students, fosters awareness of faith in students, carries out several habits which are carried out repeatedly and motivates students so that Islamic spiritual activities carried out with this process can make students have character. religious. 3) Evaluation: It can be seen based on several work programs for Islamic Spiritual activities that have been implemented, based on the attendance of Muslim students who take part in Islamic Spiritual activities, based on the students' daily attitude values ​​and the notes in the Guidance Counseling guidance book, in this case, the nature of a person's religious character It still cannot be measured, but it comes back to self-awareness and environmental factors. Religious character development is carried out as a form of effort to become a better person

Abstract

The development and reinforcement of life skills among students are crucial aspects of their character and competency growth. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Muhadharah (public speaking) program in enhancing public speaking skills and other life skills at Pesantren MA Swasta Zakiyu Najah in Sei Rampah, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The Muhadharah program is designed to train students in effective speaking skills, material mastery, and confidence in communication. The research employs a qualitative approach with data analysis through observations, interviews, and document studies. The findings indicate that the Muhadharah program successfully improved students' public speaking skills, enhanced their communication abilities, and positively impacted other life skills such as leadership, empathy, and adaptability. The program also contributed to the development of students' mental resilience and self-confidence in social and academic settings. The conclusion of this study is that the Muhadharah program is an effective strategy for life skill development in pesantren, providing positive outcomes for students' personal growth. It is recommended that this program be continuously developed and tailored to meet students' needs to maximize its benefits within the pesantren educational context.

Abstract

There are many methods and media that can be utilized in learning activities including memorizing the Qur'an. This study will focus on the application of methods and media utilized in memorizing the Qur'an. One of the media used is audio-visual media. The use of media in learning is believed to have a very good impact, but in memorizing the Qur'an it is still rarely used. The problems in this study are: 1. How is the implementation of the audio-visual learning method in improving the ability of students to memorize the Qur'an at the Imam Muslim Islamic boarding school 2) How to improve the ability of students to face the Qur'an at the Imam Muslim Islamic boarding school. The purpose of this study was to analyze the improvement of memorization skills using audio-visual media, and to see how students participate in using audio-visual media. To solve the above problems, an experimental research method was used with a pre-experimental design research design through a one group pretest-posttest design approach. The data in this study were collected through test and questionnaire techniques. The results showed that there was a significant influence in the application of the memorization method using audio-visual. While the response of students in the use of audio visuals can bargain well So, it can be concluded that the application of memorization methods through audio visuals can improve memorization skills at the Imam Muslim Islamic boarding school

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peningkatan keterampilan bahasa Inggris pada perawat Muslim dalam konteks lingkungan multikultural dengan fokus pada pengembangan kompetensi budaya dalam pelayanan kesehatan. Dalam konteks global yang semakin terhubung, pelayanan kesehatan yang efektif memerlukan kemampuan untuk berkomunikasi dengan pasien dari berbagai latar belakang budaya. Perawat, sebagai elemen penting dalam penyediaan pelayanan, perlu memiliki keterampilan bahasa dan pemahaman budaya yang cukup untuk merespons kebutuhan pasien dengan sensitivitas dan efektivitas. Metode penelitian ini melibatkan pelatihan keterampilan bahasa Inggris bagi perawat Muslim dan evaluasi dampaknya terhadap kompetensi budaya mereka. Pelatihan melibatkan modul-modul khusus yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berkomunikasi dalam konteks pelayanan kesehatan. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner sebelum dan setelah pelatihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman budaya, kemampuan berkomunikasi, dan penerapan praktik-praktik budaya yang sesuai oleh perawat setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Ini menandakan bahwa peningkatan keterampilan bahasa Inggris secara positif berkontribusi pada pengembangan kompetensi budaya perawat. Temuan ini memiliki implikasi penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan di lingkungan multikultural.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of the Quizizz application as a technology-based evaluation tool for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMA Negeri 1 Tebing Tinggi, Serdang Bedagai Regency. This research employs a case study approach to explore three main aspects: planning, implementation, and evaluation outcomes of using the Quizizz application in the learning process. The results indicate that the planning for Quizizz use was carried out systematically, with thorough preparation concerning both content and infrastructure. The implementation of the application in the learning process successfully increased student engagement and provided real-time feedback to teachers. The evaluation outcomes showed a significant improvement in students' understanding of the PAI material, as well as positive responses from students regarding the use of the application. This study contributes to the development of technology-based evaluation methods in Islamic education and offers guidance for educators in optimizing the use of technology in the learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh program literasi kesehatan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan mahasiswa mengenai gaya hidup sehat. Literasi kesehatan dianggap sebagai elemen penting dalam mendorong perilaku sehat di kalangan mahasiswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pretest-posttest. Sebanyak 100 mahasiswa dari berbagai jurusan di sebuah universitas di Indonesia dipilih sebagai responden melalui teknik random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner yang mengukur tingkat literasi kesehatan dan pengetahuan tentang gaya hidup sehat sebelum dan sesudah program. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada tingkat pengetahuan mahasiswa setelah mengikuti program literasi kesehatan (p < 0,05). Faktor-faktor seperti akses informasi, pemahaman, dan kemampuan menerapkan pengetahuan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari turut berkontribusi pada hasil tersebut. Kesimpulannya, program literasi kesehatan efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan mahasiswa mengenai gaya hidup sehat, sehingga diharapkan program serupa dapat diimplementasikan secara lebih luas untuk mendukung kesehatan generasi muda.

Abstract

The performance or performance of personnel demonstrates dependable human resources. Personnel performance is a description of personnel work that is demonstrated in activities and behavior that refers to the desired process and product as well as the workplace situation. The principal's performance-based supervision is a supervisory activity carried out by superiors to increase the competence of educational staff based on their performance or to increase the effectiveness of the institution in achieving the goals set. Thus, educational human resources who perform at or above the standard set by the institution have the opportunity and the right to receive a response from the institution in accordance with the applicable provisions. This study employs qualitative research methods, with informants including principals, educators, and education staff. The study's findings suggest that an effective supervisory process can improve teacher performance while also achieving organizational goals or the success of school activities. A leader's success will be realized if he treats others or his subordinates well and provides motivation so that they perform well in carrying out their duties. Leadership is the ability to move, motivate, and influence people to take actions aimed at achieving goals by having the courage to make decisions about tasks that must be completed. The principal's supervision of the performance of educators and education staff will be successful if the principal pays attention to the results achieved and treats educators and educators well, allowing them to perform better.
