Abstract

This research project aimed to obtain data on learning outcomes using the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method related to STEM activities in honing students' critical thinking skills in bioplastic manufacturing projects. This research used quantitative method with one group pretest-posttest design. The research targets were VII A students of SMP Negeri 1 Nalumsari as many as 22 students. The research instruments were pretest and posttest tests with analysis of homogeneity test, normality test, and N-Gain test. The test results showed that all data were normally distributed and homogeneous, so it was feasible to analyze further. The overall N-Gain average was 0.6029 (medium category), indicating an increase in critical thinking by 60.29% after learning. The indicators with the highest improvement were problem identification and analysis, while problem solving and drawing conclusions experienced low improvement. Although there are differences in each indicator, all stages of PjBL from problem determination to experience evaluation are proven to contribute to the development of students' critical thinking. This research shows that STEM-PjBL through bioplastic projects can be an alternative to contextualized science learning and 21st century skill oriented.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop a science teaching module based on ethnoscience by integrating the local tradition of Tedhak Siten as an innovative approach to learning. It seeks to improve the understanding of scientific concepts through a contextual approach that is relevant to the local culture, to spark students' interest in science, and to strengthen the local cultural identity within the educational process. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model approach (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research stage in this study only reached the Development stage. This module was designed to integrate concepts of growth and development in science with the cultural values of the Tedhak Siten tradition, making learning more contextual and relevant to students' lives. Based on data analysis, the validation results showed that the module received an average score of 94% from content experts and 96.4% from media experts, categorized as “highly valid” and not requiring revision. Therefore, this teaching module is declared fit for use in teaching science to grade IX students in SMP/MTs.

Abstract

Program Pembentukan Komunitas dalam Penguatan Karakter Kebangsaan Berbasis Moderasi Beragama bagi Mahasiswa di Kabupaten Kudus bertujuan untuk membentuk ruang partisipatif dan berkelanjutan yang mendorong mahasiswa dari berbagai latar belakang untuk memahami, mempraktikkan, dan menyebarluaskan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama dan karakter kebangsaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam program ini adalah pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) yang berfokus pada identifikasi dan pemanfaatan aset lokal—baik individu, institusi, maupun nilai budaya—yang relevan dengan penguatan toleransi dan harmoni sosial. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui tahapan sosialisasi, pelatihan, diskusi lintas agama, kampanye digital, serta pengabdian masyarakat yang melibatkan mahasiswa dari Universitas Muria Kudus (UMK), Universitas Muhammadiyah Kudus (UMKU), dan ITEKES Kudus. Hasil utama dari kegiatan ini adalah terbentuknya Komunitas Moderasi Beragama sebagai wadah berkelanjutan bagi mahasiswa untuk berdialog, berkegiatan sosial, dan menyuarakan nilai-nilai kebangsaan secara inklusif. Komunitas ini berhasil menyelenggarakan berbagai forum diskusi rutin, kampanye toleransi di media sosial, serta menjalin kolaborasi dengan tokoh agama dan masyarakat desa sekitar. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ABCD efektif dalam mendorong kepemimpinan mahasiswa dan memperkuat peran kampus sebagai pusat penguatan nilai-nilai moderasi dan kebangsaan. Rekomendasi dari kegiatan ini adalah perlunya replikasi dan dukungan institusional dari kampus dan pemerintah daerah agar komunitas serupa dapat berkembang di wilayah lain secara berkelanjutan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the construction of religious moderation education at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah UIN Walisongo by examining the supporting and inhibiting factors of its implementation. Using the qualitative case study method, data was collected thru in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document review, and analyzed interactively thru reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that the program's success is supported by institutional commitment, an integrated curriculum, and the unique culture of the Ma'had, which emphasizes living values, the role of the mudabbir/mudabbirah, and the social dynamics of the dormitory. However, limited resources, external environmental influences, the diversity of santri backgrounds, and unsynchronized regulations are the main constraints. Theoretically, this research offers a new understanding of ecosystem-based religious moderation in PTKIN dormitories, an aspect that has not been widely discussed in the literature. Practically, this finding confirms Ma'had Al-Jami'ah UIN Walisongo as a strategic space for the formation of moderate character that is contextual, inclusive, and sustainable.

Abstract

Keterampilan kolaborasi siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA, masih tergolong rendah. Padahal penting keterampilan ini penting dikembangkan untuk menghadapi tuntutan abad ke-21. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keterampilan kolaborasi siswa setelah penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan pendekatan STEM. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment. Desain penelitian yang dipakai adalah pretest-posttest control group. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas tujuh dari SMP Negeri 2 Undaan, sampelnya dari kelas VII A dan VII B. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan keterampilan kolaborasi di kelas yang menerapkan model PBL STEM, dengan rata-rata posttest lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Nilai signifikansi uji-t adalah 0,000 dengan efek ukuran (Cohen’s d) sebesar 2,16 artinya penerapan PBL pendekatan STEM dapat meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi siswa pada materi ekosistem.
